They are so genuine, happy, and easy to talk to. Their taste in makers and their ability to edit and style is perfection too. The Pop-Up features handmade wares from makers around the PNW area. The Pop-Up Market is hosted inside of the beautiful space of Plank and Grain in the International District. The shop itself is beautiful. It is so bright, open and modern with original architecture, not to mention ceilings that seem to go on forever. And that white, textured wall covering is so good that I wish I could cover my entire home with it. The shop itself is also filled to the brim with the most beautifully handmade tables, kitchen islands and furniture. My only wish is that they had a shop front that was open year round with rotating inventory. Side note, I'm pretty sure that Sarah and Jordan should start making curated gift lists.

We came around lunch time and there was a steady flow of people there. It was bright, chill, and homey. There's a person that will take the order at the counter, and while he takes the order, the butcher cut the meats and weigh it out and another person does the sides and make sure the tray looks pretty and organized. They were very meticulous. Food wise: Lunch special 2 meat combo with 2 sides: pork belly and pork ribs + slaw and kale. It came with bread and pickled veggies. We also order .25 lbs of brisket and .25 lbs of lamb, a side of chilli and fiesta rice. It also came with bread and pickled veggies. Pork belly was tender, flavorful, wish it tasted more bbq than just marinated pork belly. Ribs was a little inconsistent, some part was a little tough and dry while other part was tender and moist. Brisket was the best protein, it was tender, juicy, flavorful. Lamb was good, little gamey taste, the chimimuri sauce was good but wish they put it on the side because it warmed up on the lamb and it wasn't that great anymore. All the sides were delicious. Their chilli was meat heavy but a little salty. We even got Mac and cheese as a take out just because it looks good and it was good as well. Service is great, price is good for the portion. Definitely would recommend people to come here if you haven't been

The Homie and I decided to check them out in the Ballard/Shilshoe area on a warm summer evening (7/6/24). I was able to score a parking spot out front of Secret Congee which is sheer luck with Ray's and Un Bien nearby. I placed an order for the BBQ set for 2 ($65) which included grilled Thai sausage, grilled whole/halved poussin chicken, grilled 12oz skirt steak over special Thai charcoal which imparted a distinct flavor. Our container also was accompanied with spicy clam dip, sticky rice, tamarind BBQ sauce, fresh herbs, and a quarter wedge of fresh cabbage. Generous servings for two! Delicious flavors, cool breeze dining al fresco, great convo with the owners, and even a special treat of Thai Tea Tres Leches cake from San Bartolo Bakeshop. It was nice to see others dining onsite or placing orders as takeout. Passersby from the neighborhood or from visiting nearby Golden Gardens were pausing for brief convos and aromatic scents. Yes, we started the day up north at our fave BBQ in Marysville. Wrapped up a pleasant, albeit toasty evening, by checking out Siam BBQ. This brother duo has the winning formula for tasty dining spots. Come support local, indie, and family run. Great addition to the summer pop up scene!
