Passing through on our way home from vacation and needed some lunch. Yelp led us here. Definitely a local place and we must have stuck out as travelers since we were wished "safe travels" on our way out. Overall ambiance is small-town diner/cafe feel, but the menu (though small) offered a few surprises like General Tso's Chicken and chicken eggrolls. Service was pleasant and friendly and efficient. Overall the people (both staff and customers) seem to have a general "just good people" kind of vibe. The hand pattied burgers were deemed delicious by my family (we'd had our share of thin, sad patties on this vacation so this was a nice change). The fries were basic but came out hot. The lettuce and tomatoes in the salad and on our sandwiches were very fresh. The chicken eggrolls were fire! Definitely try them if you like Asian food. Two of us had lunch here on a Wednesday - 10/16/24. Food was excellent! Grilled chicken sandwich and fish sandwich were both perfect. Waitress was delightful and attentive. We stopped at Poppy and Co Cafe for lunch on our way through the area and we were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely eat here again. There is plenty of parking close to the restaurant but it is only open for lunch, note the hours of 10-3. I had the gyro special and my wife ordered a chicken salad. Both of our meals came quickly and were delightful. Service was excellent and our server was pleasant to speak with about the area. The drinks size were on the small side so refills were frequent. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and it looks like a lot of locals come for lunch. The restroom was clean as was the rest of the restaurant. The staff were kind and the meal prices were quite reasonable. My wife and I had lunch, drinks, and a dessert for less than $40. read more

Visiting from as we drove through on a five hour trio. Yelp had this community restruant listed. We all like to support family type restaurants. The BLT was fine. It needed a few chips or pickle or coleslaw to embellish the presentation. The service was fine. The music was load and annoying . Most people in the cafe were older local individuals. Traveling through we hopped on yelp to find a place to eat. This town has plenty of pizza joints but we wanted a hometown restaurant. Poppy and Co came through with flying colors. Best salad in Centre or Clearfield county. Always daily specials and even an old fashioned ice cream shop! Great place with great people!

Stopped in for a quick lunch with my girlfriend, delightful little place! The soup of the day, sausage and potatoes was warm and creamy, great for a cold day like today. My better half ordered the signature dish, hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Easily the highlight, as it all paired perfectly together and melted in your mouth. This place has reasonable prices and great service. It is much larger inside than would be apparent from the front. Food is always great and I've always over eaten when I leave. They only really have soup, salad, and sandwiches. Pretty basic food, not bad but not much variaty. Waitresses are nice, but again the foods not awesome just basic. Only really like 10 items on the menu that aren't breakfast, and they stop serving that at like noon. Not bad tho. read more
