2 Meat Plate. Brisket and ribs, with 2 sides deep fried corn on the cob and collard greens.

Great bbq, I had the 2 meat plate, 2 meats (I had brisket and ribs) and 2 sides (I had the deep fried corn on the cob and the collard greens). Seated very quickly, and the friendly server came by and got our drink order. Beautiful view out the screened-in porch of the babbling brook with white water. Great ambiance and Southern -Rustic decor.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Visiting the area and wanted some local BBQ. We walked in at 6pm for a table of 2. There were about 8 people ahead of us waiting to be seated. We waited patiently and the hostess was trying to seat people had arrived after us. Once the two young boys who were ahead of us were seated, we were finally seated 15-20 mins after arriving. The servers wouldn't make eye contact with us and it took maybe another 20 minutes before someone asked if we would like to order our drinks. We waited another 10 minutes and watched a table of 1 get seated in front of us and he was immediately asked what he wanted to drink and got his food order placed shortly after. After waiting another hour with no service, drinks or food we left. Total disappointment.

Having heard of a tranquil restaurant near a creek, we stopped in to check it out. Our table of five was seated directly by the outside window that faces the creek in one of the booths. It is a picturesque interior for seating, after you walk through the shop area where employees are creating hand sculpted glass figures/letters before your eyes. In the restaurant, our table ordered many different menu items to sample. Out of the food we ordered, the catfish and fried okra was the best. I would return just for that. The ribs were on the dry side and so was the barbecue. Our server was not the most hospitable, so we spent most of our time looking outside. I was perplexed at the length of time it took us to get our food once it was ordered, as other tables who were seated later than us had more luck with their food and drinks. I would give this place a second chance the next time I am in the area.

Swing and a miss... We were so excited to come. The concept is great. The food wasn't. I guess we should've known by the restaurant being dead at 6 pm on a Friday. Service was okay, the girl seemed like she didn't want to be here. The outside seating isn't made for the outdoors so I spent the whole time balancing the table on my knee so it would stop creaking from being warped. The meat was dry, jerky dry. Salad was okay, small bowl with no room to mix. The chicken on it was the best thing we had and it was again, dry. The view is gorgeous. That was a win. But we won't be back.

Smoked Smoked 1/2 Chicken Dinner Plate with coleslaw and "brisket baked beans" with Texas toast

The food was pretty good except my brisket had fat on it. It was so busy and short staffed. Hubs got grilled chicken and it tasted really good! Had a great smoked taste and their baked beans and coleslaw were so good. The ambiance was ok, very casual down on the creek and is a nice setting.

The sign caught my attention that made me want to come here, After entering I'm glad I did. Service was quick as we entered and we was seated quickly. The menu items all, look good. This is our first time but it won't be our last.

Homemade peach cobbler with ice cream really yummy

My daughter and I decided to drive up to Maggie Valley, 3 weeks after Hurricane Helene to try out "Pops Butts on the Creek." Maggie valley was absolutely beautiful. The trees and mountains surrounded the town. You see every color you can imagine. So this isn't about Maggie Valley still go there it's just gorgeous. Now about Pops Butts on the Creek, the menu looked really good. I ordered two meats and it came with 2 sides. I had ribs and brisket. The brisket was so dry. I only ate half a piece, the ribs however (two ribs) were delicious and I enjoyed them. My two sides were mac & cheese and coleslaw. The mac & cheese was as dry as it could be and my daughter and I returned our sides of mac & cheese. The coleslaw was good. For dessert my daughter and I shared a hot peach cobbler with a scoop of ice cream now that was absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered loaded fries and side of mac & cheese. The loaded fries were so thick and chunky and all you could taste were the potatoes, and my daughter also said that the brisket on top of hers was very dry. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and our waitress was very sweet and treated us well. However, I have to say I would not go there again. After returning the two sides our bill was $50 for lunch. In Maggie Valley it looked like there were other cute places to maybe enjoy a meal. I would recommend that you go to Maggie Valley, but look for another place to eat, I'm sorry to have to say this, but I just don't want you to spend the money that I spent and not enjoy your meal.

My wife loves eating outside, and loves hearing/seeing water, so this checked off those boxes. Nice to see they're very pet friendly too! For starters, our waitress Kiersten was a DELIGHT! So sweet, knew the menu, and a pleasure to talk with. She needs to get props for making our first visit so enjoyable, that we WILL be coming back! It was before 5pm and we wanted to take it easy, so we ordered the brussel sprouts app and the Philly Cheesesteak to share. Great choices! The fried sprouts app was HUGE and delicious, especially dipped into their homemade ranch! So much that we brought a third of it home! The Philly was very flavorful and the curly steak fries were crispy and filling! The menu is so big, that we are going to have to come back MANY times to try it all -- and that's something are looking forward to!

Service was mediocre - she was nice enough but just going through the motions, I think. Our table was directly in front of the house music. Strategic error on our part but it turned out ok. He wasn't singing and the music was mostly bland background. Our table was a high top and the stools were just a little too high for the table to be comfortable. Ah well, the best part was sitting alongside the mountain creek and sipping beer.

We arrived at 11:04 and a hostess met us at the door to inform us they stop serving breakfast at 11:00, but we can drive down to Pops and eat breakfast. Since we always eat here, we decided to stay and order a sandwich. I ordered a BLT and asked to add one egg to the BLT. The waitress said no, that eggs were a breakfast item and they cannot add it. Ironically, if you order a salad you can add an egg. Or a hamburger, you can add an egg. But you cannot add an egg to a BLT. So we paid for our drink and went to Pops where we were greeted with a smile, a very clean dining room, very friendly staff, and delicious food. This anniversary weekend, we began a new breakfast tradition- we will eat at Pops.

It's about 2:00 and when I looked at my Yelp App most restaurants were closing in 7 minutes. So we remembered going to Maggie Valley Restaurant and they were closing at 3:00. The lady stated that Maggie Valley restaurant has some of the best homemade cooking so we opted to go here. Top of their list was their famous homemade fried chicken. It wasn't famous or homemade, it was frozen and unseasoned. They only sell it as a half chicken dinner for $23-24 I can't remember exactly what the price but it was between that amount. No substitutions on the pieces so for that price I ate the wing and breast and left the leg and thigh on the plate. The macaroni and cheese were not good at all. The fried okra and mashed potatoes were pretty good. I got the last biscuit they had and while it had good flavor it was rock hard. My mom got the catfish dinner and she said it was okay, they brought her frozen solid cocktail sauce. The coleslaw she had to add some sugar to it but then said it was good. The other person got a club sandwich which was huge and he said it was okay, the bacon was really good. Sweet tea was delicious. Service was slow and robotic. I noticed that the other tables around us were complaining about their food/quality.
