Sad day. Today I will no longer use the Deli. I tried to call in an order. Something that I have done for 23 years. The phone rang and rang for more than an hour. I decided to drive down. I get there to find 10 people waiting to order. 10 minutes I wait. Finally, I get to order. wait another 15 to get the order. I told one of the workers that I tried to call for an hour. He stated " We don't pick up the phone anymore!" He said " We just don't do it!" He said the priority are the customers the come to the store . I said you make you customers drive to the store, wait to order, and wait for the order. He just said yes and walked away. Too bad, I was picking up an order for work. I have always ordered from this place since I started working in Hawthorne. Every time my coworkers and I order there are different prices for the same thing we order daily! It's unbelievable. When I ask for prices, some days a gentleman is super nice and then there are days when someone is rude on the phone. I'm not saying their food is not good but the professionalism and prices are always changing which does not look good for them. Word of advice - don't EVER pay with your credit card or debit card over the phone because they will charge whatever price they want! Another thing - those prices on website are useless. read more

I just made a pick up order. The guy at the counter tells me " oh just so you know for pickup there is a 3 sandwich minimum ". I only ordered 2. This is totally BS. What deli does that anyway ? I've been in and out through the years. These guys have attitudes and now imposing a 3 sandwich minimum for a pick up ?? I wonder is it the same for delivery drivers ? Also what if I just walked in, do I still need to buy 3 ? I could've just asked the guy, but I had a feeling that a brick wall would give me better answers. Staff is very polite and friendly. Food is fresh and delicious. They deliver,.. The delivery guy is also polite and friendly. The preparation time is reasonable. The wraps are fantastic. They are working on a gluten free menu. They will make you virtually anything you ask for. I have had them make a burger lettuce wrap in the past and have substituted a number of things on their menu. Coffee is also really good. They make it just right! I'm very hard to please with coffee (I like it a very *particular way). They have become my stop if I want to grab something quickly. Definitely recommend this establishment. read more

Here's my review from 1/22/10: It's a standard deli, but for some reason, they constantly short change you. If you go here, MAKE SURE THEY GIVE YOU THE RIGHT AMOUNT BACK!!! I didn't say "keep the $0.50, it's your tip". The employees seem more concerned about yapping like a bunch of fatheads than getting your sandwich and change right. There are many other delis in the area to give your business to. read more

I didn't find it as disappointing as a couple of the isolated negative reviews here suggested. Just had a bacon egg and and cheese, and while they're almost always pretty awesome... While visiting my sister we decided to get some sandwiches for lunch and went to Pop's since it is right down the road from her house. Very good deli. I got the turkey chowder which I wish was a daily soup not a special. The corn was oven roasted and there were big chunks of turkey. I noticed the meats where boars head. Very clean and unlike most small delis in the area, they ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. I keep seeing reviews that they don't but they charged my total of $5.47. I know I only got the soup but I could tell this place is legit. The line was out the door. I'll be back. read more

This deli is Meh and I've experienced better and I wouldn't describe it as A-OK (sorry).... Bread is mediocre, grilled chicken is too salty, etc....It was crowded and its not bad so... sigh... I'm still on the hunt for any halfway decent deli (since there don't seem to really be any in the Thornwood/Pleasantville/Armonk/Hawthorne area)......Its not as good as Schrieffers and its really not as good as Sundance, Frank and Joes, or A&S.
