This was THE BEST place to stop for ice cream. Not only was the ice cream delicious- and we had many flavors plus the purple cow, a malt, and an Italian soda, but the staff was so very friendly. Pop's Is hands down the best Ice cream around. It is all home made and you can taste it immediately -Adult ice cream (with real liquor) -sugar free -vegan and even doggy ice cream There is even Jenga and crayons/coloring pictures for the families with kids The place is cozy and very clean and the ALL Staff there are unbelievably friendly, super helpful, and very patient (Especially when it comes to helping me decide among all those options) As soon as they are done serving customers they are wiping and sanitizing everything thing down, including the door and the handle! I'm not sure what has instigated all the changes, but sadly it's not for the better. Many times we drive by, during operating hours, only to see a note on the door that they are closed. When we finally made it on a day they were open, the kids were excited. Unfortunately that excitement was short lived. They obviously have little foot traffic based on the icy layer on many of their tubs of ice cream. They don't seem to cycle through enough for it to be fresh. My daughter had the pistachio and had actually tasted it initially. She only got a taste of the ice cream part (no nuts) and when she went to eat her cup of pistachio, the pistachios were soft and not flavorful. I understand they aren't a super crunchy nut, but these tasted old. She threw out most of it. My son did the same with his. I ate mine but it was super icy throughout, not creamy at all. If they could get fewer flavors in smaller tubs (to prevent them from sitting for too long), I think it would help. Consistent hours would be great too. We used to love coming here, since it was locally owned. The kids, sadly, have requested just driving to Dunkin'/Baskin Robbins from now on. Note: This was BEFORE the hurricane. read more

The employee there kicked out our service dog. (Small dog) she was rude and created a big scene. We provided the service dog credentials and she didn't care. We asked for her name and she said "I don't have to give you that information" then she ran and hid in the back room until we left. On their front door they have a sign that says "we support service animals" Do not support this business! Would love to talk with the owner before we file a formal complaint with this businesses illegal act. read more

With "fro-yo" places popping up everywhere, I often wonder: what happened to good old-fashioned ice cream? Well, Pops has it, and it is some of the best you will ever taste. They have a vast selection of flavors, from the traditional to the unique. They manage to keep everything at perfect temperature so when it comes out of the freezer, it is creamy and of perfect texture. My favorites are the salted caramel praline and pistachio, which is one of the few pistachio ice creams with real pistachios (most have almonds). On my most recent visit, I was about to walk out with my scoop when I commented to the owner that I wish I had gotten an extra scoop of a different flavor. Bam! Right then and there, he added the extra scoop -- no charge. One of the friendliest proprietors you will meet anywhere. I went to Pop's for the first time the other day and was served by a Fantastical Amy friendly smiling could not do enough for me. I had there sugar free ice cream vanilla my favorite dee-licious and homemade believe it or not. All of their ice cream is homemade by Amy and I believe the staff. A hidden treasure in Sebastian. The ice cream is delicious. One of the best ice cream is I have ever eaten. They also sell doggy ice cream as well as human ice cream. It is in a little strip mall so you can do several things going to Beaks shopping thai for lunch and still have ice cream. The owner is very nice and the ice cream really is delicious. It is worth the drive from wherever you're at. He is a local merchant and everyone should try to keep our local merchants in business instead of chain stores read more

Sorry to do this to a local business, but I am so disappointed in their advertising. They call themselves homemade ice cream. If you are a small town ice cream shop and you advertise homemade ice cream, you should make you own ice cream. That's what the term homemade implies. Pop's buys working cow ice cream and scoops it into cups and cones. Nothing wrong with that, but let's not call it homemade. That's like me opening a pie shop or bakery and advertising "homemade baked goods" and selling pies and doughnuts I buy from another bakery. I feel this is lazy and misleading. No different than buying ice cream at Publix or Walmart. read more

The ice cream is high quality, they DO NOT advertise the ice cream is made there, it is homestyle like (made in small batches). AMAZING!!! Homemade shmoemade.. I think Hand Made was what we were told. After all someone had to make it! Who cares!! It's the best we've ever tasted! The flavors are nothing short of delicious and amazing. The three of us tried many samples and had such a hard time deciding on just 2 each! Butter Pecan, Blueberry Cheesecake wth mini Chocolate Cups, 2 kinds of Coconut.. Rum and Toasted, Kuala Mocha, Fresh Strawberry. The staff was very proud and passionate (as they should be) about their unique variety of creamy concoctions. Since we'll only be in town for 4 days, we've vowed to go back every day for our double scoops and one to-go in case we slip into withdrawals at midnight! We may go home a couple pounds heavier but it'll be worth it and we'll have sweet memories of "Pops" Working Cow Ice Cream and dream about it until we return again. Yuummmm. read more
