There are few things in life which would be able to ruin my joy at spotting a Dairy Queen, but this did it. Stopped our road trip so we (and the dog) could pee, and DQ was right next to the field. This DQ shares a location with a gas station and a Stuckey's store (hooray for log rolls!) but the differences between them are vast and wide. My day would have been better if I had stayed outside... The Stuckey's was pretty typical for a highway gas station, with the accompanying alligator feet back scratchers and ice cold beer, sold by a smiling cashier. The DQ on the other hand was manned by a surly woman standing behind and leaning on the counter. When asked if the unmoving line was to order or pick up, I was told none of the 5 people in front of me had even ordered yet. Got in line only to be told "y'all have to wait til I mop the floor" which would have been fine if she was mopping, or even about to start mopping, but nope. That had to wait too. After visiting two times, back-to-back days, I think I can give a decently fair review for this rare DQ Grill & Chill Restaurant. Fueled by nostalgia of how delicious DQ's desserts were, I was hoping for a complete meal, which includes a main course and side, and the dessert drink/shake would suffice. What I got was adeqeute, decent at most, but would this DQ be a restaurant I would go out of the way to eat at? Probably not. Let's start with the ambiance and service. First and foremost, DQ is located inside of a gas station. That doesn't necessarily make it bad, but DQ's organization of their space was very lacking. They used boxes and displays to block off areas and some of the tables were outdated and dirty. The staff were decent in general as some hit basic manners up to actually being quite nice. With the exception of some who went above average with their attitude, being average in fast food hospitality should be an average at least and many of the staff were under that. The food needs to be divided up on what was great and what was average too. The chicken sandwich and cheese curds were okay. Delicious but a flavor that is found in many gas stations and burger joints. Where DQ stands out is their desserts. I had the Orea Brookie Blizzard and the Peanut Butter Paws (I can't remember the name) Blizzard and both were amazingly delicious. I will admit I did not use the restrooms because the gas station was sub-par as well as the dining area of DQ. I equate both to the restrooms being a tragedy most likely. Overall, I would only get DQ if I really wanted DQ and most likely, it will be for their desserts. However, I will never drive out of the way to eat there. It has to be on the way, I have to want DQ to the point that any better alternatives are just not wanted on my end too. I will be nice and give this restaurant a three star review. However, if I could do partial stars, this place is easily 2.25 or 2.5 stars tops. read more

I am convinced that the only reason that keeps these DQ Grill & Chill's open is their ice cream offering, 'cause it ain't the food... How hard is it to stock fish? Especially so when it comes to the weekend? We stopped in after spending the weekend in Miami and after having a late start to return home to Brevard County. We say this particular exit had a DQ, caught the eye of my traveling partner, my oldest son, so we stopped in. We wanted to try their fish sandwich - but sadly, to no avail, it wasn't available. And though that in itself isn't a big surprise, what was, was the indifferent attitude of the two female workers - indifferent, uncaring, and simply unfriendly. I couldn't bring myself to just order a burger - that's how disappointed and happy I was with the whole experience. And frankly, the place wasn't even that clean looking - quite possibly one of the more less -upkept looking locations they have. Two years later and nothing has changed a bit about the place; still run down, although I think the restrooms are even worse! They really need to tear this place down and start fresh. Thankfully it wasn't freezing inside the restaurant this time. The ice cream treats were thick and good. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but decent. They had every other table open for COVID, and you could only enter through the right side door to control a common direction lineup. read more

Stopped in on our way home from PSL. Place was pretty busy but our order was out fairly quick. Our burgers had an awful taste ( freezer taste ) terrible imo. I ordered 2 Mint Brownies & 1 Large Fry from Dairy Queen. I wish the Mint Brownies were like the old recipe because I didn't get enough brownie pieces some were overdone, & I noticed for them to get the color/flavor of the mint it is a green mint syrup only reason why I know that is when I grabbed my order it wasn't stirred all the way so I saw the thickness of the syrup. After all; I still ate it since it tasted similar to Mint Brownie. Lastly; the French Fries THANK YOU not only DQ but the workers as well it came out fresh and hot just like how I like my fries to be. (IMPORTANT) I will start off this review with agreeing with some of the other reviews on seen on here by addressing the cleanliness etc. I have been going to this Dairy Queen since I was little; I remember it being super clean, friendly people, customers & employees would make it feel like family environment, and this was the GO TO place for a lot of kids especially seeing them have smiles on there faces getting ice cream that is the Dairy Queen I remember. Now not so much; the workers are making ends meet to survive, less happiness, they stay open until 7PM versus 9/10PM back then, if you need to use the restroom on the gas station side I suggest not, etc. I personally think that Dairy Queen remodel this building to make it like the modern DQ's. Horrible service, second time coming here and it's always the same shit, they charge you for extra toppings yet stiff you and are cheap with the toppings. They're extremely rude about it and it's distasteful. I'm not sure who the owner is but awful customer service. Also they start stacking chairs up at 9 pm when they close at 10. I love the food here, the chicken tenders are so good. Love the ice cream, and even the breakfast. All is great! The problem is their hours, they close too early and are too inconsistent. Sometimes they stop serving food at 5pm, we want to go in at 6 or 7pm and no food?! Closing at 7pm for an ice cream place is too early. The blizzards are great! Do the survey for a free mini one. I was traveling along the I-95 and considering something for lunch, saw signage for this DQ Brazier and decided to stop. This DQ is in the same building as a small convenience and candy store. While the DQ itself is pretty standard and is clean and has a small dining area with about 1/2 dozen tables, the restrooms here are deplorable, especially for a place that serves food like burgers, fries and ice cream cones that one is likely to eat with their hands. The restroom itself was filthy, but the kicker was that the soap dispenser was empty and there was a "Soft Soap" bottle on the counter with the pump removed and the bottle full of water and foam, as if a past patron tried to add water to get the last bits of soap he could. In addition, the hand dryer was broken and there were no paper towels to either dry ones' hands, or to use to open the door handle. Disgusting! read more

Traveling through FL and craving Girl Scout blizzard. With the 1.5 star reviews I had to check it out. We got 2 blizzards and onion rings. As a old employee of DQ In AZ In 1987, I didn't see or experience anything amiss. Yeah, it could be more pleasing to the eye, but it wasn't dirty and looks like EVERY other DQ. I definitely am not going to expect some bougie gas station stop. Even the onion rings were better than BK or WAB, nice and crispy. Employee were attentive. This review has nothing to do with the employees working there! They are doing the best they can in a very bad situation! I'm glad that there are signs up asking Customers not to abuse the employees but I think it's the Owner who is the abuser! When a business owner does not have the proper staffing to take the pressure and stress off of the employees, then that owner should be ashamed of themselves! Every time I go to this dairy queen which is at least once a week, there are lots of customers in the establishment. I have never seen any customers be rude to the employees because we all feel extremely sorry for them! I have however stood in line for 30 minutes to get a blizzard! Now that may be my stupidity for standing in line that long when I should take my business somewhere else but I do like the people that work at this Dairy Queen and the way they do things. So today when I was standing in very long line waiting patiently like every other customer to place my order, I saw at least eight people turn around and leave because it was taking so long! Just basic math: I would say that the average Dairy Queen customer spends approximately $7/PP multiply that by the amount of customers that were in there when I was there which was about 25 that equals $175. The 8 customers that left cost you about $56 but I won't add that in. Seems like the turnover of customers is about 30 minutes so that is $350/hour. Even if you pay the two employees that were working $12 an hour (no idea what you pay) then that's $24 an hour. I understand there's overhead- rent, food cost etc. but come on you can't employ one extra person? You have a sign up stating that you're willing to hire people if they want to work there but I don't think anybody wants to work there! Your employees look miserable because you're abusing them every day when they walk in to a total train wreck! I wanna make it clear that I don't know any of your employees I'm only going by what I see when I come in there once a week. You should try to fix this and quit blaming everything on the fact that you can't hire people, nobody wants to work, Covid etc. You must do better to be better. read more

I love Dairy Queen but this location is horrible! The manger is always yelling at other employees and has a horrible attitude! My husband and I ordered our blizzards from the manger, and then my husband wanted to order something else , but since the manger was being a Bee he opted out of getting anything. "Our Trip to Boca" We were on our way back from Boca; and, had grabbed a quick bite at Denny's earlier, so we thought we'd stop in for a mid-day treat. It was hot; and, the location is just off the interstate, so there was a line. The cashier and server were working hard to keep the line moving; but, you know some people.... well, what about a...? well, I don't know...? My kid doesn't like...! Eventually we got up there, ordered what we wanted; and, were promptly served. My Peanut Butter Shake, with Chopped Peanuts was phenomenal; and, my wife's Swirled Cone hit the spot. Wee were on our way to Daytona beach when we say billboard to DQ, asked for a Royal cheesecake blizzard and asked to substitute strawberry filling with Bananas, he said NO. Bananas weren't ripe enough. Then I asked for French Fries, he said NO to that too. Then when I payed, the manager finished my other Blizzards and I asked for whip Cream. Let me start off by saying I love Dairy Queen, probably my favorite fast food joint, but my visit at this location was my worst experience at any fast food establishment. Absolutely HORRIBLE service, no manners whatsoever by the employees. Me and my family ordered $35 worth of food, we waited at least 15 minutes for the food to be done which is absolutely ridiculous, and to top it all off, half of the fucking order was not in the bag. After using the ladies rest room we probably will not go here again , this rest room is a pig sty , hubby said the same for men's room, How can a food establishment have such a nasty rest rooms and smelly. This is a unique location attached to a gas station. The eating area is clean and the visible work area is clean as well. The staff is always pleasant and line moves at a great rate. Great stop from 95 and easy treat for the family on a road trio. read more

I went Saturday to get the Oreo earthquake that I love and they said they weren't serving ice cream because it was not at the right temperature. I'm out of town visiting mom and we decided we wanted ice cream on a Saturday night and Dairy Queen is our favorite, mom likes the Peanut Butter Bash (so do I :D) You can imagine the disappointment after driving 40 minutes to get here and then hear that there is no ice cream available. We were very upset at this horrible experience. Everyone that walked in the door was asked "are you here for ice cream?, we're not serving any right now, it's not at the right temperature" Are you SERIOUS?? How could they let this happen? On 08/07/2014 (my birthday) I knew that I would be in the area for a seminar and since we (Fort Pierce, FL) no longer have a DQ I was excited to visit this one. Since we are not familiar with the place it wasn't hard to find but it wasn't easy to find either because we almost missed the DQ sign and had to back up quite a ways to even get to it. Then once I went inside the establishment was clean enough. There was even a guy and a girl sitting at one of the tables eating whatever they had purchased. I glanced toward the register and no one was there but the side door popped open and in walked this young lady. She proceeded to wash her hands before asking me what I wanted and since I couldn't decide to waited on the next guy in line. The door swung open again and this time an older woman walked in from outside. She washed her hands as well. By then I decided I wanted a strawberry cheesecake blizzard and just a strawberry one for my Mom. The young lady proceeded to tell me that they were out of cheesecake and "disappointed" is an understatement. I specifically came there for the strawberry cheesecake blizzard because I brought a coupon from the website and everything. It started to get worse when I tried to order a small blizzard and get one free but I was informed that the coupon said a "medium" or a "large" and get one free. By this time I didn't want a medium or a large because I was disappointed they didn't have what I wanted. However since I was riding with my Mom I didn't want her to be without her blizzard. So I sucked it up and ordered a medium snickers blizzard and got her a small strawberry one. I asked how in the world could they be out of cheesecake and that I specifically came here for that and on my birthday too. The young clerk then started saying that she thought Publix had cheesecake and I could go over there and get some if I wanted to. I'm like then what would be the purpose of me coming here? She also said that they couldn't help that the truck didn't bring in the cheesecake and she then told the older lady that I was upset because they didn't have any cheesecake. Which she found to be very hilarious; needless to say I didn't. No it wasn't right for me to take my frustrations out on her, but in that situation she was supposed to be a professional. And then to make jokes about it made it even worse. Then telling me where I could go get some cheesecake just really topped it off. Overall I think the experience was very frustrating and very annoying. But what do I expect when DQ hires young people to work in customer service. Most of them never take anything seriously. Oh and she got my order wrong. She made a medium strawberry instead of small and she didn't want to give it to me but the older lady told her to give it to me. That's the least she could do because it was her mistake, not mine. I'm assuming she really didn't want to give it to me because she wasn't too fond of me by that point. But it wouldn't have made any sense to throw that one out and make another. I've had better service. Worst of all I wasted my coupon on that very bad experience and I still haven't gotten my strawberry cheesecake blizzard. read more
