We hadn't been to Pop's in quite awhile and I'm glad we made it by. The debris is the best New Orleans style roast beef poboy in town, hands down. Their nontraditional twists like the Hot Hot are outstanding as well. This is a great casual spot for delicious food.

This is obviously a home town favorite. Went during a rainy day but it was still getting great traffic. The service was great. The place is a little small but the tables are set up nicely. They have alcoholic drinks and even on theme. The food was amazing. The type of place you want to eat the menu. Definitely will be back.

Fantastic poboys. Food was fresh and hot. The bread is awesome. Service is excellent. Parking is bad though so be prepared for that.

A solid Po-By in Acadiana. For a boy who grew up in Nola, I get pretty judgy when it comes to po-boys. I go on rants about the proper bread and all sorts of nonsense. It probably makes people think I am a douche, which may be true, but you shouldn't judge others weird food rants lest your weird food rants be judged. All that nonsense aside, Pop's is great. I found myself at Pop's one day for lunch after learning they could make any po-boy into a salad. All the taste of a po-boy but few carbs? Sign me up. I opted for the Jack special which is basically a ferdi with the addition of turkey. It was surprisingly great as a salad. The star of the salad was the shockingly good debris. The debris was so good that all that nonsense Nolier than thou talk I had in store because it was a po-boy not in Nola. I had a great meal and opened my mind to the concept of po-boys outside of New Orleans. Win - Win.

Great vibe and good food! Service was nice as they greeted us and brought our food out as it was done, HOT!!

Pop's used to be a good place when we couldn't decide where to go when visiting Lafayette but we had the worst experience. We ordered the satsuma old fashioned but asked for it to be in a real glass instead of a plastic cup. The bartender was very confused and instead of putting it in a glass old fashioneds are typically served in she put it in a tall glass and poured soda to the top. It was so sweet and I couldn't drink it. We ordered a wedge salad and a situation to split. The wedge salad was good and I enjoyed it, but the situation was cold. I opened it as soon as it was delivered to us and it wasn't even warm. I don't think we'll be going back.

The atmosphere is very different than most restaurants. It is seat yourself seating, which causes a lot of chaos, but that kind of adds to feel of the place. The food was extremely lackluster especially for the hefty price. I would definitely go back and try something different, because they have a lot of unique things on the menu.

First time here and I have to say, this place was great. They have a great variety of non-traditional po boys, but also offer traditional favorites like the roast beef po boy. That's what I ordered and I left impressed. The gravy had a great flavor and it didn't take much, so the poboy was not sloppy and held together. The bread is amazing and tasted like it was just baked. Growing up in New Orleans, I have had all of the top po boys and this was not too far from those. I will be back.

Great food. Had a po boy and fries and both had great flavor. Went on a Thursday night around 8 and was an easy walk in. Highly recommend

Great spot for po boys right in downtown Lafayette. They have rotating specials and we got a boudin po boy, which was their seasonal special, as well as a shrimp po boy. Both were excellent. Friendly staff and good vibes. Can't ask for too much more.

Saw this place on man vs food so we wanted to try it. The poboys were ok. Grilled shrimp didn't have much flavor and the fried oysters were a little floury tasting. We also got hush puppies with a sweet butter and tartar sauce. The sauces were nice. Our daughter got the kids fried shrimp basket and those were really nice. I would have given 3 stars if the staff wasn't so nice.

I ordered the Co-op Burger, which came on a house-made sweet potato bun that was actually really good. The Angus beef patty was cooked well done, just how I like it. It also came with lettuce, mustard, house ketchup, and basil mayo. Personally, I could've done without the house ketchup and would've preferred regular ketchup. The basil mayo was not a good match, I think regular mayo would have complemented the burger much better. I also asked to leave off the pickles and red onion. I added an over-hard egg, which was cooked perfectly. On the side, I ordered the yogurt, but unfortunately, I couldn't eat it. It tasted like spoiled sour cream, so that was definitely a disappointment. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, although the seating area felt a little too cramped. It was lunchtime, so I understand that it was busy. One thing I didn't like was the lack of any signs directing customers with call-in or online orders. It wasn't clear where those orders should be picked up. I ended up standing by the cooler, which put me in the walkway of food being delivered and the cooler for beverages. I was also concerned about the food handling. The employee bringing out food and drinks kept playing with her hair because it was constantly falling in her face, then continued handling customers' orders. The person making the coffee also had her hair down. In my opinion, anyone preparing or serving food should have their hair secured and wear gloves when appropriate. Parking was probably the biggest inconvenience. Nearly every surrounding business has signs stating "Parking for customers only," which makes finding a place to park difficult.

Then I discovered Five Mile Eatery, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places in town. I am absolutely addicted to their vegan Caesar salad. It's fresh, flavorful, satisfying, and proof that vegan food can be anything but boring. The menu is thoughtfully crafted with organic, seasonal ingredients, and it's refreshing to find a place that truly caters to plant-based eaters. I know some people comment on the prices, but organic, high-quality ingredients cost more, and that's something many people don't realize. Personally, I don't mind paying a little extra for healthy choices and food made with quality ingredients. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is welcoming, the desserts are excellent, and the staff always make me feel at home. If you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply looking for a healthier meal option, Five Mile Eatery is a gem. Lafayette is lucky to have it!

The atmosphere was great, there are many thank you cards, notes and letters on the walls for their contributions and community support. I think that is great. Just what we needed while traveling. My hubby had the cold rolled basil cashew chicken which is #30 on their menu, fresh basil chicken, cashews, spicy Thai sauce, leaf lettuce, plum tomatoes and avocado. He gave it a 4 1/2, he said it was very good. He would definitely stop again. It was quiet and clean. I had the hot rolled turkey apple jack #39 on their menu, which is turkey breast, jack cheese, apple butter, bacon, mushrooms, onion, fresh basil Mayo, and with a side of spicy mustard. It was delicious!! It will be a great place to stop when are passing through again. I would recommend stopping.
