While no photos of food were taken (too caught up in the celebrations!) we ordered the pork belly and pretzel as appetizers, then for the table we had the poke, the butternut squash raviolis, the mahi mahi tacos, and the mushroom risotto. For drinks, I had the Paloma and my mother had a cocktail the bartender made based on her preferences and my very non drinking mother loved it and has not stopped talking about it since. The staff came out to sing happy birthday to her and brought out a dessert for her. It truly was a memorable way to spend her birthday especially on a Tuesday! How could we not, the temptation was too great! . You could tell all the garlic was incredibly fresh and tasted great. I'll mention that my guy friend and I are as white as they come and I was nervous going to this establishment as it's obviously geared towards the Hispanic community. I mention the race thing because unless you've been living under a rock, there's always a divide between Hispanics and whites and whatever and a lot of the community assumes it's too dangerous to be downtown at night because of that fact.
