    Overcooked burger, quickly replaced.
    Wayne L.

Came here for lunch on Christmas eve with a friend that had been before and recommended it. Lots of options for brunch or lunch. Service was prompt and friendly. My friend had an omelette which looked fantastic and he was pleased with. I had the Cosmos burger as it sounded fantastic with caramelized onions, mushrooms, bacon, sharp cheese, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Ordered it medium rare. Bit into it and it was well done and very dry as a result. Mentioned it to the server and she promptly took it back to the kitchen. Second one came out after a reasonably short time and was much better. Great to see them be able to quickly fix a problem.

My husband, son & I came here for my birthday dinner since we still haven't checked it out since it opened. We came at 5pm & we were the only ones at the restaurant - we ended up eating in the outdoor area since it was a nice day out. Our server came to greet us pretty quick & provided friendly service. I ordered the Frutti di Mare & my husband ordered the ribeye. My husband said his ribeye was a bit more cooked than he liked but he didn't want to send it back. My pasta was decent but there were some pieces that were a bit overcooked as well. Overall, I'd rate it a 3.5 but since we can't do 1/2 ratings, I bumped it up to a 4 for the service. We wouldn't necessarily rush back but we'd give the place another shot & order different dishes.

Had a fantastic experience hosting a business lunch for a handful of community leaders. Excellent service, great sandwiches & salads.

Don't get me started on this place. I love this place especially traveling from Oahu. Pasta and salmon was my absolute favorite when coming with my boyfriend. Service was a little slow but honestly the food definitely made up for it. Came back to visit Hollister from Oahu and immediately went back. I loved the ambiance seating and atmosphere was great very romantic and vibey inside! Definitely recommend to go here for the food it was amazing, will be coming back!

We arrived in Hollister on Friday afternoon and decided we wanted to try Cosmos out, based on the reviews. (Thanks, all!) Cosmos Bar and Grill is an absolute gem! From start to finish, our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. I started with the crab cakes, which were perfectly moist and bursting with flavor. The lemon aioli was the ideal complement, adding a bright and creamy touch to every bite. My husband had the Atlantic salmon, which was cooked to perfection--tender and flaky--served with rice pilaf and beautifully roasted vegetables. For my entrée, I ordered the evening special: a filet mignon stuffed with garlic and mushrooms. While I can't recall the exact ingredients of the sauce that was poured over the steak, I do know one thing--it was hands down the BEST sauce I've ever had with a steak! It elevated the dish to another level. The roasted potatoes and asparagus on the side were cooked just right, rounding out an incredible meal. And of course, we couldn't leave without dessert. The butter cake was unbelievably moist and packed with rich, buttery flavor, while the tiramisu was light, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Cosmos Bar and Grill is a must-visit for anyone looking for high-quality, expertly prepared dishes in Hollister. We will definitely be back!

Buckle up, Hollister! Your tastebuds are sure in for one heck of a ride with the variety of offerings at Cosmos Bar & Grill! My mom and I stopped in on a whim last night to get a freshly cooked meal and simply put-- we left happily full, pleasantly surprised and eager for more! The menu, while not vast-- offered some "classic" dinner items with a few unique twists and i'll be the first to say... the chefs did NOT disappoint. From portion sizes to flavor profiles, there just wasn't a single mark that this restaurant didn't hit. It literally checked all the proverbial boxes for me. We started off with the Dungeness Crab Cake appetizer-- a must if you are a fan of freshly prepared crab, gently kissed with a delectable lemon aioli and perfectly topped off with a roasted corn fruit salsa. These babies are LOADED with the freshest of ingredients and were surprisingly hefty for their size. Excellent for a pair to share. And while my mom elected to try the freshly grilled Atlantic salmon--delicately coated in a lemon beurre-blanc, sprinkled with sun dried tomatoes and excellently paired with both a fluffy rice pilaf and a delectable medley of crisp vegetables.... I embarked on a semi-traditional meal of chicken parmesan. Here's the kicker, though... there's no spaghetti or angel hair pasta paired with this massive hunk of freshly breaded chicken.... no, instead, you get a sizable serving of penne pasta in the most delicious pesto cream sauce i've ever tasted. I mean... the sauce... MADE this dish. The chicken was not dry, overcooked or drowning in tomato sauce, but rather perfectly blanketed and topped with onions and mozzarella to boot. We cleaned our plates so well that we regrettably were rendered too full to attack their dessert menu... but even still... from cheesecake and bread pudding to tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake... this place definitely has your sweet tooth covered should you be able to save up enough room for it! The service was excellent, as all wait staff were eager to help and checked-in regularly, complete with a smile. It truly made for a great experience. My only gripe for the evening is that the atmosphere was a bit on the loud side as there was a group of ladies on the other side of the restaurant whom didn't seem to be aware of how obnoxiously loud they were being... but even in spite of all the raucous, NOTHING could spoil the experience we had tonight. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying something new! 10/10 Highly recommend! Definitely the best Hollister has to offer.

Been here before and had a great time, so I decided to come again, and bring different friends for an early dinner visit. We were so busy visiting i forgot to get pictures of our entrees. But, I ordered the chicken parmesean, it was delicious and a very large portion. Even had left overs to take home. My friend also had the same as me and liked it as well, and our other friend got the salmon with vegetables, which he said tasted good but was bummed it was a small portion. On to the desserts, although plated beautifully, two were very rich and one was very dense. We couldn't even finish any of them, even through sharing and letting each other taste. Anyway, the cocktails were good, and our server was very nice and attentive. The restaurant itself was a little stuffy and warm, especially having cocktails, it would have been nice to feel the air conditioning.

We had no reservations for Valentines day & they still accommodated us. I was so impressed with our service & the chefs considering it was a full busy night. Our food was delicious 10/10 & ambiance was super friendly & sweet. Servers were all super nice !

Lunch service and selection was terrible when we returned. Sad because the special from the dinner service I previously shared shows this place has potential but the current menus need help.

I love the mom and pop restaurants in small towns. Have Cosmo's a shot today while I was passing through Hollister. It's a late afternoon on a Saturday. Nice setting with ample seating inside and a nice parklet out front. Decor is old school charm, very inviting. Good menu and I chose the scampi. It was cooked to perfection. Noodles and shrimp are perfect and the sauce is flavorful and delicious.

Filet mignon, garlic mash, berry mojito

10/10! Had dinner here last night and had to come let y'all know that you shouldn't pass this spot up! I had the filet mignon ($50, worth the splurge!) and we also got the pasta. SO GOOD. They do not skimp on flavor here. seared ahi and cauliflower bites to start. also fire! Dessert (got it to go, and did not survive the night as it was demolished before bedtime) was tiramisu and chocolate lava cake with ice cream. Berry mojito was beautiful and sooo good. Everything we ordered was perfect. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Vibe was good and I can tell they take care of the place (cleanliness) If you're stuck on where to go in Hollister for a nice dinner, go to Cosmos. You won't regret it! Sorry for lack of pics - food was devoured as soon as it hit the table.

Cucumber martini was refreshing, Osso Buco was cooked and marinated perfectly and the dessert "oh my gosh" so delicious! 10/10

White tablecloths, cozy booths, elegant decor, smooth music floating in the background... the whole place has classic old-school steakhouse energy in the best possible way. The bar area was already lively when we arrived around 4:50 p.m., and little by little the dining room filled up too. For a small town, this place was humming. Always a reassuring sign when hungry hikers are making important dinner decisions. Carmen, our server, was absolutely superb. Warm, professional, genuinely friendly, and her recommendations were spot on. The kind of service that quietly elevates the whole evening without making a performance out of it. We shared a ribeye with peppercorn sauce, a pear and prosciutto salad, and a deeply decadent chocolate dessert because apparently our bodies decided we had "earned it" after the trails. Honestly? Fair. The steak was beautifully prepared, flavorful and satisfying. The salad balanced everything nicely, and dessert fully committed to richness without apology. The only small miss for me was the mashed potatoes, which could have used a touch more creaminess. They seemed emotionally reserved. I also had a Manhattan that was expertly crafted, smooth, balanced, and exactly the kind of cocktail you want while sinking into a booth after miles of hiking. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves here. It felt less like dinner and more like a reward ceremony for surviving the trails, the sun, and our knees negotiating every downhill section.

Good flavor, definitely not a strong a drink, drank it almost like it was a juice box. Hubbs: Hazy IPA from a local brewery. For dinner, I ordered the Jerusalem Chicken and seriously, it was perfection! Comforting, hearty boneless chicken breast topped with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms in a wine cream sauce. Every bite was delicious. The accompanying vegetables were flavorful and had a great texture. Oh man, it was so good! Hubby ordered fettucine alfredo with chicken and he was pleased. Chicken had a nice grill to it, pasta not overcooked, plenty of sauce. Just for fun, he ordered a single meatball to try as well and enjoyed it too! Service was great. Atmosphere was relaxed.
