You can't go wrong here. Our favorite waterside eatery in the Osprey-Casey Key area. We come for lunch and dinner and the service and food are always top notch. We've always been fortunate to be seated within view of the Intracoastal Canal and often get to sit right along the waterway to watch boaters come and go from the associated docks. read more

Went back to Pop's after a two-yr absence. I have to admit I was very very disappointed. It seems that Joe the owner has taken on investors or has sold part of the business and I have to say, not impressed with the Food or the management. The wife and I ate there twice while on vacation and was so disappointed. First meal Mango shrimp. Pretty bad when the shrimp are supposed to be grilled but came out boiled? Sorry to say the rice tasted better than the shrimp. All drinks are now measured. They seem to have lost that down home atmosphere. What used to be an eight-dollar drink is now 12 and tasted pretty watered down. Talking about POP's Punch. Breakfast another day was even worse. Had to send the wife's food back, because poached eggs were overcooked? How do you over cook poached eggs? You don't pay attention that's how. That don't count on the food being cold both times. Very sad to see this. Now let's talk about management on a Veterans discount. Our waitress was asked if we were a local couple, in order to get a veteran's discount. What the hell, Joe, when did you start asking if we were local vets or not in order to get a 10% discount. You know manager I am talking about too. As for the atmosphere in the place. Atmosphere was great, the view of the water was beautiful and music was good! The food was okay. My boyfriend eats absolutely anything and was very disappointed with the fried fish platter. Fries were mediocre and fish didn't taste like anything- no seasoning not even salt! The coconut shrimp with the sauce was delicious and the Caesar salad was basic but good. We had very good service. We got there late after being on the road all day. So no long waits. And the off season going into the front side of spring break. The fish is actually fresh out of the water and the non fish food is good too. Good DJ w a great mix of music. Definitely a place the locals go but the travelers have found it too. The most important thing to me is the service, oh and the food has to be at least good if not great. Pop's hit it out of the park on both tonight. Our server, Chase, is a true professional, got every detail right. We had the catch of the day, grouper and mahi, and both were outstanding as were the sides. The music was perfect, the guy has a great voice. Parking was easy even though it was crowded. We've never had a bad experience at Pop's, I hope they keep up the good work. I LOVE this place, but last night had the absolute worst bar service ever. A nice young man took our order and made awesome drinks! Then, an older woman came to the plastic mat opposite the bar from me, poured liquor into a glass and squirted me while adding the soda. I had syrup & liquor all over my chest, arms and dress. I didn't say anything , thinking it was a genuine mistake. The young man gave me water and a napkin to clean up with but within just a couple minutes, she comes back to the same spot and does it again! This time my date said, "Hey! You're squirting us!" She half giggles and said, "Well I guess they didn't fix that," and walked off. Again, had to wipe the soda syrup & liquor off of myself; more brown spots on my dress. We should have left. Because it happened AGAIN! All we got was more gibberish about the nozzle not being fixed. I took my date here to show off my favorite spot on the water, only to be embarrassed and disappointed. Not cool, Pop's. Going to be reminded of this every time I put on my shirt advertising for you - definitely won't be worn as frequently now. Ugh read more

The food was mediocre. We think most people come there to do drinking We were worried about not finding parking, but we got lucky at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, but the place was packed. It looks like it's more for a bar crowd that likes to be on the water and bar food. We got seated right away on the water had great seats a great waiter and the managers were so nice and accommodating when one of reference salads was not what she wanted. Thank you. Fresh grilled salmon (Meditterran style with lemon butter capers sauce) was outstanding, and the green beans just right (with a little bacon and onion oh my). We love coming to Pops. The food the drinks and atmosphere are wonderful. The people working the place have always been friendly and fun. We normally get things like margarita flat bread, ahi tuna bowl and sandwiches are great. We have had a full meal but it has been a while so can't review it. While the view I understand is not the same, the food was good, atmosphere lively and fun; and service was excellent. Went on St Pats and they were extremely busy. Service was friendly and quick even without a reservation. Be ready to walk, finding a parking spot isn't easy. But it's just a short walk down the beach from public parking. read more

Pop's is always a great atmosphere. The wait time (this time of year) after putting your name on the wait list is next to nothing. Their wait list system is very convenient. Our meal was excellent, we've found our favorite dishes; Corvina fish, ribs and wings, ahi tuna wrap.... Drinks are small but delicious. Service is hit or miss. 2 weeks ago our server was fantastic and attentive. Last night we saw our server twice, when he took our order and when he brought the check. Ordered a mahi sandwich - the mahi was the size of a credit card. One wilted, thin piece of lettuce, 1 thin tomato slice. Asked for onion and pickles, which arrived 10 minutes later, which meant my sandwich cooled considerably. Also received some French fries. Imagine my reaction when the bill showed $32 for a skimpy sandwich to which the waiter simply said I don't set the prices.
