My text to Timothy. This was on my way home and trying to get SOMEONE to pick up the phone.

Have you heard of www.MasterClass.com? It's a subscription-based platform that provides video lessons from industry experts in various fields. If the Service center at Porsche Plano offered a class, I'd call it: "The Art Of Providing Terrible CX (Customer Experience). So you may follow my timeline, whenever I say, "today," "today" is August 20, 2025. My appointment for my 911 was set for today @ 11:30 AM. The reminders sent to me told me my service advisor was Timothy Shaffer. When I arrived, I told the gentleman that greeted me I had an appointment with Timothy. He introduced me to an advisor named Robin. Robin was sweet and pulled up my appointment on her computer and asked me, "How can we help you?" I was taken aback and asked her, "I specified what I needed looked at when I set the appointment...is it not in the notes?" They were not. So, she asked me to show her my car and point out the items that needed work, which I did. She then grabbed a pen and a numbered tag (the ones they hang on your rearview mirror) to write on. One would think that a $29 billion company, such as AutoNation, would provide their advisors with iPads and a CRM containing customer data. She let me know that it would take a few hours to give me an estimate. I told her this was not a problem but I needed my car by the time they closed. Since I knew I was dropping my car off, I told my father that I would buy him lunch if he picked me up. He told me he would be there in 20 - 25 minutes. To kill time, I walked around the showroom for 5-6 minutes. They had a red 2025 Cayenne Coup. Gorgeous! I spent the rest of my time looking at preowned inventory outside. While I was outside, two other customers appeared. The entire time I was outside (and in the show room) nobody greeted me nor the other customers. My father arrived & I took him to lunch. During lunch, I received another text saying, "Hi, welcome to Porsche Plano Service, my name is Shane and I am your service advisor." Told my father about my 3 advisors and we had a laugh. No big deal. After lunch, I went back to work. Around 6:15PM, I was on my way home and realized no one had called me about my car. Not Timothy. Not Robin. Not Shane. I called the main phone number and went through all the options MULTIPLE times. Service: No answer. I hit, "0" for the operator. No answer. I decided to use the trick of selecting, "Sales." Surely...someone calling about buying a new car would answer the phone. Nope. Nobody answered. From the time I left work to arriving home (around 15 minutes), I called the main number and tried to reach SOMEONE at Porsche Plano (choosing the "Sales" option most of the time). I was so frustrated, I sent Timothy a text at 6:31PM letting him know what horrific customer service they had. Of course, he never responded. At 6:40 PM I get a text from Robin letting me know that she's trying to reach me. I called her when I got home and she let me know that the estimate for my car was $3,200. I thanked her for the estimate and proceeded to let her know... ...calling a customer 20 minutes before closing time and assuming they can make it is inconsiderate (especially after said customer told you they needed their car that day). ... forget their process of assigning 3, different, service advisors. ... forget the fact that no one spoke to me or the other customers outside. ...my B-I-G-G-E-S-T issue was the fact that a customer could call their store and not have a SINGLE department (including new car sales!) answer a call after 20+ attempts. My call with Robin lasted almost 11 minutes. She apologized, profusely, and I let her know that I really appreciated her listening to me, that I knew it wasn't her fault but that her GM needed to take HUGE steps to improve their CX. I ended my call by stating that, even if they charged me $0 for the repairs, there was no way I was going to give them my business and I would be taking my car to Avondale since several of my friends raved about their sales/service CX. Finally, if you need service, take it to www.RACPerformance.com. Ask for Solomon Roffe.

The Service Department deserves all 5 stars for their outstanding customer service and personal attention. Zachary led the way by communicating with me regularly on the status of my repairs and explained what work was needed in terms even the less mechanically inclined could understand. In this time where staffing shortages are common everywhere, he kept me informed of the progress and ensured I had a clean reliable loaner to use in the interim. I was very pleased with the entire experience and look forward to purchasing my next new vehicle from them.

My brother and I wanted to get our first convertible Porsche and Scott at Porsche Plano helped guide us through the entire process.  His helpful suggestions during the design process resulted in a gorgeous sports car that we couldn't wait to get on the road.  He helped to keep us up to date throughout the build process and made the entire purchase experience seemless.  When you are ready to buy your Porsche I would highly recommend contacting Scott Reynolds at Porsche Plano, knowing first hand he will guide you through the process and get the right Porsche for you

We just moved in from the greater Chicago area, and we are very happy to have Porsche of Plano as our go to Dealer. We purchased our brand Porsche from Mark Laurenzi and he made sure our process was smooth and we are very happy with the service and quality they provide. We maintained our vehicle at the Barrington Porsche dealer and coming from a 5 star service dealer, we are so glad to be back to another 5 star service dealer. We just recently had service performed on our vehicle and Jeffrey Jutzi took care of us and we are pleased with the fast and hassle free service that we received. We even mentioned to Jeff that back in Barrington Illinois, the dealership has their own full service Starbucks Coffee shop in the New Cars show room floor. He said he will mention it to his GM. Fingers cross and we can get one in after all everything is bigger and better in Texas right? I highly recommend this dealership and the team of staff at this location are amazing.

Horrible service department. 1 star is generous.

Based on this written agreement, I brought my wife and three kids to the dealership on Monday, May 5th ,2025 around 6 p.m. We test drove the car, loved it, and were ready to move forward. After the test drive, the salesperson went to the back to "check with the manager," then returned and said the offer was no longer valid. They now wanted $298/month--a complete bait-and-switch. I requested to speak to the manager, who openly admitted they "lost money last month" and couldn't honor the agreed price. This is not just unprofessional--it's dishonest and disrespectful. I came based on written communication, which I have attached and saved, including text messages with the salesperson and his number. This is not how you treat customers. You don't lure families in with a written offer and then change the deal at the table. I strongly urge others to be cautious. Don't trust this dealership's quotes, even if they're in writing. Extremely poor customer service and shady business practices.

I now lease a Prius Prime, and while I love this car, dealing with TFS has recently become a nightmare. The problem started a few months ago when I began receiving letters, emails and calls from TFS about missed payments even though I pay my bill monthly with autopay. I called and discovered TFS was erroneously applying my current payments to my previously leased RAV4 that I returned to the Toyota dealership when I leased my new Prius Prime. I thought the matter was resolved--but TFS' letters, emails and calls continued. Then on April 27th, I got another "collections" call. Annoyed, I stopped the conversation and asked the agent to verify my payment history, and to check if my payments were correctly being applied to my current car vs my old car. She heard me out and took the time to verify my payments were still being applied to the RAV4. She had me hold, and took the initiative to escalate to management to fix TFS' internal problem, and then suggested checking with my bank to verify the correct account # is referenced in my auto-payment. While I'm waiting to hear from my bank, I want to be clear, this agent was terrific, and I'm quite confident she correctly communicated to management my payments must be applied to my Prius Prime. Apparently management dropped the ball a second time, because since Monday (four days ago!) I've received four TFS calls regarding missed payments. Why am I still getting these calls? Has TFS' Accounts Receivable dept. told collections to stop bothering me? Or do they not know how to stop auto-letters, emails and calls once they know they've made a mistake? Is this a back office internal collaboration problem? Do I need to worry about hits to my credit rating? What is going on with TFS? This is no way to treat any customer, much less one who has done business with Toyota for 46 years.

Also, her grammar was god awful and couldn't spell certain words right. This was just a warning of the terrible experience I was about to go through. The only time I could get a response was after requesting multiple times to be transferred to a different salesperson. After weeks of poor communication, I finally decided to stop wasting time and drive from Austin to Dallas in person. I arrived fully prepared to purchase the vehicle that day. I wasn't negotiating the advertised price, wasn't asking for discounts, and was ready to drive the car off the lot. In other words, this should have been one of the easiest sales imaginable. Unfortunately, the experience only got worse when I arrived. The dealership felt chaotic and disorganized from the moment I walked in. The showroom was crowded, messy, and far from what you would expect from a dealership selling luxury vehicles. There were visible scratches and damage throughout the facility, and even basic details seemed neglected. To make matters worse, despite my repeated requests to work with someone else, Chassity immediately approached me and brought me back to her desk. When it came time to discuss numbers, the real issue surfaced. The advertised price on the third-party website was not the actual price they intended to sell the vehicle for. They had added roughly $3,000 in "optional" products and services, including a theft protection package. I told them plainly: remove the optional package, and I would buy the car immediately. That's when I received one of the most absurd explanations I've ever heard in a car-buying experience. I was told the package was "optional," but not in the sense that it could be removed. Instead, it was "optional" because I could choose to pay even more money to upgrade it. In other words, the package was mandatory, despite being presented as optional. At that point, it became clear that the advertised price was little more than bait to get customers in the door before adding thousands of dollars in mandatory extras. Between the lack of communication, the disregard for my requests, the chaotic dealership environment, and the misleading pricing tactics, this was easily the worst car-buying experience I have ever had.

Long story short I found a car at a different dealership that was hard to find, they were a bit stiff and offered me below value what KBB said I could get for my great condition low mileage car with premium package. The dealer where I was getting the car I wanted (I'll just say it - Audi Plano!?#$% Avoid them at all costs if you want a FAIR deal) they offered me a RIDICULOUSLY below average amount - what KBB suggested. I walked out frustrated and tired physically and mentally. Thank God I noticed Carmax nearby and thought Why Not? I walked in, there was very much a dmv feel to it Lots of people, sitting everywhere, lot's of traffic in and out. There was a monitor with peoples names/appointment times at the front desk. I thought, wow how am I going to get an appraisal on a weekend with all these people? When it was my turn the guy was very nice and said no problem, we can do that for you and he re-directed me to the business window which was nearby. I was still skeptical and cranky given what I had been through at another dealership. Business desk had a lot going on too, but they seemed to be in good spirits with each other and the people who approached them! Complete opposite from previous dealer. I was greeted by Micah (sp?) who was seemed relaxed despite the busyness, she told me how appraisals worked in a matter of fact way, when I hesitantly asked how long all this would take, she quickly said it should be no more than 30 mins with a confident smile. I was still skeptical but refused to give away my car for the measly amount the other dealer offered me. Well, I went to the bathroom, people watched and yeah about 30 mins later, she came back with my appraisal quote! way more than MORE than what the stingy dealer down the street was offering me and ABOVE KBB !! If I didn't want the other car so bad at A/P, I would've gladly told them to touch grass! But unfortunately they had what I needed. I would have felt much better to have bought from Carmax, everyone I encountered there was friendly, professional and got things done in a great amount of time! I want to thank Micah again for being so patient with me and explaining things while I was under great personal stress and timelines as well (death in the family, trade in car papers expiring etc). I sold my beloved car to Carmax in Plano, had a GREAT experience from beginning to end and wanted to let them know I appreciate them being a positive part in such a stressful weekend for me.
