He open the door for me and escorted me to my service advisor Gloria Vaquiz (The Best) she went over a detailed explanation on what work was going to be done to my vehicle the cost and how long it would take. Gloria walked me to the waiting lounge where I waited for the service to be completed and kept me updated the entire time. Once my vehicle was completed the service manager Christopher Alves & James Reyes asked me how was my experience was. I really appreciated the time they took to ask me about my experience. My experience with the 2024 Porsche Cayenne and the service provided by Porsche South Shore has been, without question, the worst automotive experience I have ever had. What should have been the ownership of a premium luxury vehicle turned into nearly two years of constant frustration, stress, and disappointment for both myself and my family. From the beginning of my lease, the vehicle experienced numerous mechanical issues, software malfunctions, and other recurring problems that significantly affected the reliability and usability of the car. Instead of enjoying a vehicle from what is supposed to be a world-class automotive brand, I found myself repeatedly dealing with service appointments, unresolved problems, and ongoing uncertainty about whether the car would function properly. Unfortunately, the problems with the vehicle were only part of the overall negative experience. The response from Porsche South Shore's service department was deeply disappointing and, at times, highly unprofessional. During my interactions with the service department, particularly with the service manager at the time, Chris Alvis, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. Rather than receiving support or meaningful assistance, I often felt dismissed and, during one meeting, was even accused of exaggerating or misrepresenting the issues with the vehicle. That interaction was extremely upsetting and left me feeling completely unsupported as a customer. In an attempt to resolve the situation through proper channels, I communicated multiple times by phone and email with Jeff Stokes, PCIC Regional Specialist at Porsche Cars North America. Unfortunately, despite initial assurances that the situation would be reviewed, the outcome of those communications felt more like an effort to defend the dealership and minimize the severity of the problems rather than to fairly address the concerns I was raising. Instead of receiving help, I felt that responsibility for the ongoing issues was being shifted back onto me. I also reached out directly to McGovern Auto Group, providing detailed explanations of the problems I was experiencing with both the vehicle and the dealership's handling of the situation. Sadly, those efforts did not lead to any meaningful response or resolution. My concerns were largely ignored or brushed aside. The entire experience became extremely stressful. What should have been a straightforward process of addressing legitimate vehicle defects turned into a prolonged battle simply to have my concerns acknowledged. The level of stress caused by these interactions was significant and deeply disappointing, especially considering the reputation Porsche promotes as a premium brand. At one point after a particularly difficult interaction, the stress was so severe that it seriously affected my health and left me feeling physically unwell. No customer should ever feel that level of pressure when simply trying to resolve issues with a vehicle. After nearly two years of ongoing issues, I am simply relieved to no longer have this vehicle. The 2024 Porsche Cayenne that I leased turned out to be one of the most disappointing automotive experiences I have ever had, and the way the situation was handled by the dealership and corporate representatives only made matters worse. In my opinion, the conduct and handling of this situation by certain individuals reflects extremely poorly on the brand. Chris Alvis, Aaron Geiger, and Jeff Stokes have been, in my experience, a significant embarrassment to the Porsche brand and the wider Volkswagen Group. Their handling of this situation demonstrated a lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for a customer attempting to resolve legitimate concerns. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise other customers to exercise extreme caution when dealing with the individuals mentioned above. During my interactions, I often felt that information was misrepresented or that my concerns were not addressed honestly or transparently. That level of communication breakdown makes it very difficult for a customer to trust that their concerns will be handled fairly. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend Porsche vehicles, Porsche South Shore, or the McGovern Porsche network to others. A luxury brand should stand behind its products and treat its customers with respect and professionalism when issues arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I sincerely hope Porsche corporate leadership takes situations like this seriously and carefully evaluates how customer concerns are handled at both the dealership and corporate levels. No one ever answers the phone in the service department and if your lucky and get the receptionist and leave a name and number with them I think they honestly throw it into the trash. Mr. McGovern, I'm sharing this letter publicly across social media so anyone considering a purchase or lease from McGovern Auto Group--especially Porsche South Shore--can learn the truth about my experience. This is about accountability, transparency, & warning other customers about the dangerous, exhausting, & unacceptable situation I've endured with my 2024 Porsche Cayenne. I'm writing to express my deep frustration & disappointment regarding the persistent mechanical & electronic issues with my Cayenne, which have made the vehicle dangerously unreliable & unfit for a premium brand. Since day one of the lease, the vehicle has exhibited repeated failures--critical dashboard errors, electrical malfunctions, infotainment crashes, warning lights, & worst of all, sudden acceleration failures while merging on highways. The engine revs but doesn't accelerate, leaving me & my family in life-threatening situations. These are not isolated issues. They've occurred repeatedly over several documented service visits. Each time, the response has been software resets, vague explanations, or outright dismissal. The car returns to me "fixed," only to malfunction again in days. Under Mr. Alves' leadership, the service department failed to provide meaningful diagnosis, offer Porsche engineering support, or communicate with basic professionalism. Calls went unreturned. Escalation requests ignored. I was told nothing was wrong--despite real symptoms creating real danger. The situation with my tires added another layer of frustration. I've experienced ongoing tire pressure loss & vibration at speed. Despite 7-8 formal requests to replace the tires under the protection plan I purchased, my concerns were ignored until I refused to leave the dealership. Only then were the front tires replaced--yet the underlying issue was never resolved, & the rear tires were completely disregarded. This level of negligence is inexcusable. Professionally, this unreliable vehicle has caused me to miss meetings & arrive late to appointments, damaging my reputation. Personally, I now live with constant anxiety about whether the car will fail on the road. My physician has linked the stress of this situation to rising blood pressure--meaning this issue has now become a matter of health. More painful than the mechanical failure has been the total lack of accountability from your team. After Mr. Alves disappeared without follow-up, I was contacted by Mr. Mitch Dick, who offered no meaningful solution other than returning to the same dealership that ignored my concerns. I've been met with deflection, silence, & indifference from people who are supposed to represent a luxury brand. I leased this vehicle expecting premium quality & dependable performance. What I've received is a flawed, unsafe product & zero professional support. I'm now formally requesting a full resolution: either a complete refund of my down payment, 15 months of lease payments, & tire/rim protection fees--or a replacement vehicle of equal or greater value, thoroughly inspected & free of defect. I'm not the only one watching this unfold. I was referred to Porsche South Shore by three close friends--loyal Porsche owners for years. After seeing how this has been handled, they're now questioning whether to continue with your dealership or the brand at all. If your team can treat one customer this way, how many others have been quietly brushed aside? My family is now urging me to take legal action, & I am prepared to do so if ignored again. But I'm still hoping for a professional, fair outcome that spares us from litigation. Took my car in to have the molding on the passenger side replaced under warranty since in was pealing away from the car only to be told it was caused by an outside influence. I told them I been the only driver and nothing has come into contact with the car. I asked to speak to the General Manger and they told me I could only speak to the Service Manager. They told me it would require the interior of the door to be removed only to find out at another dealer it was 30 minutes to repair without removing any part of the interior door. After spending $150k on a Car I think I will find another dealer, don't go here unless you like to be lied to. read more

Seriously disappointed with the South Shore Service team. I brought my 911 S in for service. They charged me a little under $1000 for the service but I had to bring the car in THREE times because the service light kept going on. They just couldn't figure it out. I had to personally call in to check to see if the car was ready for pickup after waiting a few days. Shouldn't they call me when the car is ready? This place is so backwards. I think the service reps name was Conrad. I also requested they take a look at the car for NYS inspection. They failed my inspection because of the treads on my tires. They said I needed to buy new tires in order to pass my NYS inspection and that it will cost a few thousand dollars. This is my summer car! I had put maybe 15,000 miles on the vehicle. I brought my car into another Porsche service center and they passed my inspection with no problem. This place is a joke. read more

This is my second time getting a car from Porsche South Shore and again I'm very pleased. I was very concerned about how things would be handled since we're in the middle of a pandemic but the team made this a very easy and safe transaction. I was able to schedule an appointment for drop off and to test drive another truck over the phone. Vlad and Farzan helped with my lease return and purchase. There were no hidden fees and everything was explained patiently and with great detail. The car I test drove and ultimately purchased was sanitized and had protective coverings. The staff wore masks and a cleaning crew continued sanitizing the office as I sat there filling out the paperwork. Vlad explained every detail on the new truck and showed me some features I would not have figured out on my own. All in all, I continue to have great experiences at any time I have had to go to this dealership. I called him MULTIPLE times to see what was going on , he NEVER returned any of my phone calls or emails , so I then asked for the manager Zak . He promised me the check was mailed another 2-3 weeks go by and no check . My husband called and told them he was going to drive there to pick up the check ( mind you I live an hour and a half away ) so my husband had to physically go there to get our money back., so he had to waste miles and gas on his car to get what was due to me . They have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !!!!!!! The receptionist never picks up the phone or returns phone calls . I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them when looking for a Porsche . read more

This review is for the sales department. I am an Active duty service member and contacted the dealer through the USAA car buying program to buy a 2018 CPO Porsche Macan. I bought the vehicle online and only saw it at pick up due to Covid-19. We emailed several times back and forth for paper work. I dealt with Vladimir, John Vass, and Farzan. I could not believe how bad my experience at buying a luxury car was. They acted like they were doing me a favor selling me a car. I got to the dealership and the vehicle was nowhere near the condition it showed on pictures. Come to find out they used pictures of the car from 2 years ago On their website when it was sold as new, not pictures of the current the car was in. They also left all of the previous owners information in the car, like insurance car, registration, and build sheet all with name and address of previous the owner. Next all they wanted to do is get me out of the dealership asap. They did not provide me with any type of information or attempted to show me anything on the car. I had to ask for CPO paperwork as well. After they got my money it was pretty much f-U. Then when I realized the car did not have Apple CarPlay, they tried to charge me $1800 to add this software! Unbelievable for such an easy thing for them to do for a Soldier. All they had to do was add the software to the car for a new customer. Farzan the General manager who spoke to me on the phone and through email didn't even bother to meet me in person while I was there. I drove 4 hours one way to buy the car and the experience was subpar. 1) The price of their Macan I bought was fair, that's why I went there. 2) The price on my Trade-in was also fair. I understand it it a business and they have to make money. 3) customer service was terrible and rude. They said no to everything I asked for, from the Apple CarPlay, to all weather floor mats To be included in the deal. 4) I thought buying a CPO Porsche was like buying new or a least a nice experience but I was very mistaken. 5) I felt unwelcome and unwanted at the dealer. Again it was like they were doing me a favor selling me a car 6) The car was misrepresented online in the pictures. Said no. Knowing that I wasn't local he also said we can't do it today anyway but if you want it going to cost you $1800. Then when I asked for Apple CarPlay Vladimir simply said no, you can take your trade in back and go home. Please beware of this dealership when shopping. read more

If you want to you repair your Porsche here . Don't. . I brought my car in twice with in two month for the same repair the "spoiler" malfunction. The first time I dropped it off I spent over 1k for a battery with in a few days of having the car back the same repair needed to addressed. When I dropped it off they charged me for a diagnostic approximately 300 and something dollars. They continue telling me it's my fault because I didn't drive the car enough however I did drive it every day. I spoke to the manager he advised stating that we don't know that it's the same issue so we have to charge you again for the diagnostic. Nothing was fixed still to this day I have an issue with the spoiler. It just does not function as it should. Bottom line is I paid over $1000 for a battery. And paid for a diagnostic second time for the same issue. They could've waived it, but they did not. Poor customer service and a penny, pincher all the way through read more

This is a sales and service review. I had my vehicle serviced and when I got it back more things were wrong with the parts I was initially there for them to inspect/repair. Instead of fixing the issue, they made it worse. I had to call back to schedule another appt for them to fix it. I am under warranty so this isn't an expense issue for me it's more of a time and inconvenience issue. I had the follow-up service scheduled with a loaner and when I showed up, my loaner was not available. Apparently they cancelled over ten customer loaner service appointments because they didn't have vehicles ready as they were swapping them for newer models. There was zero communication before I arrived at the dealership and I had to ask multiple times and visit the location again in person to finally get a straight answer as to why my loaner was not available. I was told repeatedly that they would contact me. I was told " we will definitely call you, you're on a list of customers we had to cancel, we will call you when the loaner is available," that was over a month ago. They have not called to offer me a loaner. For the sales review, I had video proof the vehicle had a problem before I took possession of it. It took a few days before I noticed it and when I spoke to the sales manager at the time (no longer works there), they ultimately offered me a $500 credit. That's a $500 credit for a part that retails over 2K and installation on that will push the out of pocket expense even higher. This is not a part covered under the warranty. I bought the car when they were under different ownership so I suspect if I were to mention my $500 credit they'd ignore me and not honor it. Please fix your communication issues and stop lying and taking advantage of customers. My vehicle retails over 200K and I'm under 40 years old. When I decide to update my vehicle I won't be looking to purchase from this dealership again due to the trouble I've had with the sales and service experience. read more

Couldn't tell me when my Cayenne would be ready and when I did get it back for inspection, periodical service and shimmy on brake there were new problems and the shimmy wasn't resolved. My vehicle was in service for 1 month with very little communication-Constantly had to call and emails go unanswered for up to a week.. When I picked up my vehicle within 1/2 mile of driving, an indicator light appeared. The car was given back to me filthy DIRTY, NO GAS, I had 10 miles to drive to a station-I left them 1/4 of a tank, interior covers/panels removed and not put back. They had a Cayman on the lot I was interested in, so I made contact. A salesperson followed up with me several times via email asking what information I needed. I asked for photos and build sheet twice (responding to two of their emails) and got nothing back. Finally, a manager got in touch with me, and I told him his sales team never sent me any of the simple info I asked for. I then received four crappy cell phone pictures that told me nothing about the car, and still no build sheet. Now, three weeks later, they followed up with me again. So I called to ask why they keep emailing me constantly, then ignoring my replies, and after 3 weeks can I just get the build sheet? But nope, the car is under deposit as of last night. The general manager, Paul Cunha, was the only person to step in and try to help (by simply replying to an email), although I guess even he couldn't get the staff to send me a build sheet on the car. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting one of the sales rep (Kevin Wu) who was very patient and understanding of all my needs. Spent nearly 2700 as labor charge to replace a vacuum pump, air cleaner cartridge and annual service (oil change, filter change and drain clean). Total came around $4100. Is this normal?????????? Even if you pay $300 per hour to do this service should have spent at-least 9 hours!!! and the most funniest part after charging this much they didn't even clean the car and water drain under the hood. read more

Steer clear of these guys. Flew out from California for business in the city and took the train out to Freeport. Nick, the sales associate, was extremely pleasant and even had me picked up at the train station to see the Panamera I was interested in. Drove it, liked it but found several serious scratches and scrapes on the exterior that needed addressing. Nick assured me that they would take care of all of the cosmetic defects if I decided to buy it and they'd ship it for free to my home in So Cal. Negotiated a fair price and then the fun began. Nick informed me that they had completed the repairs and sent some marginal quality photos that made it impossible to see if the defects had been repaired properly. I informed Nick that the quality of the 7 photos were not adequate enough for me to make out the repairs and could he take 3 more from various angles. Guess that was it for Nicks professionalism and customer service. He got snippy and wouldn't do it. I told him, once again, why I needed 3 more pics with the latest ones having a reflection which obscured the area in question. Instead of trying again he informs me that iPhones don't take great pics and he wasn't doing it. I decided to contact his boss Farzan explaining that all I needed was 3 more photos and we could complete the deal. Farzan told me I was being unreasonable and that I really wasn't interested in purchasing said vehicle despite my bank attempting to arrange payment. He also mentioned that Nick's customers loved him which I agreed and told him that up until today, Nick had been great. Farzan ends his e-mail by telling me more or less to get lost and tough luck. Personally I think they couldn't get the scratches out and didn't want to put it on film and look bad. GM Paul did respond to one of my messages but talked in circles and didn't say much, again with no real explanation. Whole process was bizarre and I'd recommend avoiding this place especially if you're from out of state. read more

Hi, I never review anything but sought the need to tell you what disappointment I have with Porsche of South Shore. After ordering Porsche Cayenne Coupe and waiting almost 6 months and giving my salesperson my 5K deposit, I got a call the other day that the vehicle was in for inspection. As I proceeded to the dealership they gave me the keys to go inspect the car as I gave them my keys for a trade in Appraisal. I went to find a car and as I approached I saw a white vehicle which they said was my car. Only problem is I ordered a black metallic vehicle. Also all options in vehicle were not the same. As I returned to tell the salesperson, she looked puzzled and pulled the documents and stated that Porsche built the wrong car. Really? Am I to believe this. Anyway it goes further as she disappears for about 10 minutes comes back with an option to get another Porsche in black with a price tag increase of over $12,000 more than the vehicle I ordered. Tells me she can't do better and basically said take it or leave it or we order another car and I wait almost 6 months for another car. What a bunch of BS and bait and switch. Did she order the car, was it given to someone who paid more than MSRP. Who knows the real story. No accommodation, no discount on the white truck which I didn't even want nor the new more expensive truck. Do yourself a favor an avoid this dealership.
