Creative burgers cooked to perfection. The menu offers a wide variety of burgers with various buns, cheeses, and toppings. You can mix and match to make your ideal burger. And they offer tater tots (one of my favs) Pros Everyone is nice and pleasant The manager is personable if you catch him on duty The food is delicious The location is right next to the movie theater with plenty of parking Indoor and outdoor seating Cons Sometimes there's a long wait for food

I've been wanting to check them out ever since my sister in law asked me about this place, and I'm so glad I did! The young lady at the front was very nice and explained the menu to me as it was my first time there. I decided on the Swiss and Shroom burger with house made chips and it was delicious! I also appreciate being able to choose how my burger is cooked. While I got my food to go, I would definitely come back to eat inside. It was a nice environment and the string lighting had a real romantic feeling to it. I think it would be a cute date night spot or hang out with your friends or even by yourself. Will definitely be back!

Stopped in with friends for lunch recently on a "snow day", and enjoyed another tasty burger. On this visit, I decided to try something different. Though the Hello Dolly was great on my last visit, this time I got the Patty melt burger served between slices of sour dough bread, as a side I got the sweet potato fries. The food came out fairly quick, and looks great. But once i picked it up, it began to get very messy very quickly. I think they could probably reduce the amount of thousand island sauce they put on the burger. The fries were cooked to a perfect crispness, but I wasn't a big fan of the honey butter they were served with, i think ranch is a much better compliment to them. As a whole, it was a good visit, with tasty food an good friends. Though tasty, it was just incredibly messy, to the point I had to wash my hands after. But the staff was also friendly, service quick, and the pricing, reasonable. Someplace I'd absolutly visit again, and recommend other do the same.

Ordered take out from Porter House Burger restaurant. I got the Chicken Philly and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked just right the onions were grilled the right amount. Really enjoyed the sandwich; the fries were well seasoned and cooked just right. The staff got my order just right and I didn't have to wait long for my food

I've been hitting up Porterhouse for years now and love the consistency and quality of their food. There are so many delicious combinations of toppings and proteins to choose from, alongside a flurry of sides and apps. Everyone is so nice there. Literally. I've been dozens of times, and the staff absolutely make you feel welcome and seen throughout your experience there. The vibes are chill, but everyone works hard to ensure you have the best possible dining out. It's an institution here, and that's tough to get given the many decent burger spots we're lucky to have. In a sea of options, Porterhouse always stands out.

Always enjoy porter house, I first had them during homecoming they had a food truck, this was years back. Always a fan of the twisted carolina burger, grilled cheese burger, truck burger, I've had their wraps and chicken sandwiches always good. Least favorite burger probably the burger California not a fan. Call me crazy I've got them tied with hops for burgers. Sweet potatoes with honey butter is a must.

It was my second time eating from them and first time dining in. This time I ordered the veggie burger and like last time it was absolutely delicious! We went during lunch hour and the restaurant was pretty empty when I got in but as soon I ordered there were Atleast 20 people behind me waiting to order. Regardless of that, my food came out super quick. I got the coleslaw with the burger, and absolutely loved the strawberry jam that was in my bruger. The ambience was pretty chilled out and low key. I will definitely be back again and try more of their brugers.

Great location in the palladium. They have a nice outdoor area as well. I highly recommend taking advantage of their Monday burger special. Not bad for a burger, side and drink for $7.99. I had the classic with LTOM with sweet potato fries and it was super satisfying and delicious!

OMG!!! This burger was so good. I cannot remember the name but it has egg, blackberry jam, bacon and bacon mayo. The flavors melded together into one awesome burger.

A good burger is one of my passions, and as long as you're a fan of beef, how could it not be? Though my tastes in burger have changed over time, from the thicker char-grilled burgers that PorterHouse serves, to the thinner smashed patties that are rising in popularity, I still like to enjoy a burger from here on occasion, especially on Mondays. Yes, the burger Monday special is hard to beat. A hamburger (with no premium toppings) and a regular side for $6. That's a steal these days, but of course, it is not that simple. Every premium topping carries a charge, and if you want a non-standard side that will have one as well. Keep in mind cheese is not included, and if you add 2 more premium toppers to your burger, you may be in the realm of what a normal burger on the menu might cost. So, legit, if you are just in the mood for a cheeseburger, or even a bacon cheeseburger, this is a great time to go. Otherwise, you might as well order a favorite from the menu. As I said before, these are the thicker grilled burgers, and I will say, they're really good about getting your desired temperature right. In the realm of ground meat, I'm going to be medium well, but some do like some pink or redness... just not me, not ground. The patty has a little seasoning, and comes on a pillowy bun. Their tater tots are really good, and that's usually what i'll get. I got the pickle chips once, and they are just too heavily battered for me. I'd prefer more, thinner bread, pickles. All in all, the Porterhouse locations are always a thumbs up for me. Try one if you haven't, just be aware that on Mondays they are typically VERY busy!

We initially envisioned having a salad for lunch, but seeing the different great burger options changed our choice. I ordered the plant based burger which was amazingly tasty and such a good option. I love sweet potato fries, and 9/10 times I pick that as my side w any meal. We sat in the patio to enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The staff was nice and friendly. Bathrooms are clean and there's also indoor seating.

MARKET STREET BURGER with GF bun and SWEET FRIES
    Tia W.

The Market Street burger was amazing and I'm a sucker for any place that offers a gluten free bun! It was very good and soaked up the sauces well. I ordered with a side of the sweet potato fries which were perfect (soft inside with a warm, almost crunchy exterior) that came with a honey butter. The service was quick (about 10 min. from ordering at the register to delivery at the table) and friendly. The restaurant was clean and orderly with a lot of seating. The menu had a ton of options with amazing flavors, including CYO, I will definitely be back to try more!

This visit went very well. We picked this location, because we were unable to get good service at a nearby restaurant. Porterhouse had steady traffic, but we were warmly greeted immediately. You order at the register. If you dine in, they give you a number and bring it to your table. The restaurant is cute and modern. Tables and bathrooms were clean. You could tell they take pride in their establishment. They have a great selection of made to order burgers. I got their all the way burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions, ketchup, mustard and mayo. The burger was cooked to perfection and presented well. Yum yum yum! The hot chips were delicious also. Take out boxes are located near the drink/condiment area. The food was so good, I didn't have anything to take home...lol Grab a meal and then a movie, which is next door or watch a matinee and grab a meal. This place is a good vibe and they have outdoor seating if the weather is good.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

I recently started seeing a lot adds on social media for their new smash burger tacos, so one weekend I was feeling lazy and needing some lunch I decided to go give it a try. There was a bit of line when we arrived, but the cashier kept the line moving quickly. I ordered (2) of the tacos, and some fries to go. Apparently, they had a promo going that weekend with their app, that you'd also get ANY size, free custard made to your liking. The order came out pretty quickly, didn't have to wait long at all. Got home, unpacked everything on a plate, and enjoyed my tasty lunch. The tacos were great, basically just a soft shell taco with a single smash burger in each, cheese, a little lettuce and fry sauce. Probably could add some other toppings, like tomatoes, but overall they were really good. Their fries are also great, but very thin, so you kind of need to grab a few at a time. There fry sauce those is what makes the fries even better. Must try! The custard was also great, i got one mixed with oreo, one of my favorites! The restaurant itself isn't too large, but decently clean. The interior is one large open space with a lot of hard surfaces though, so it can get noisy in there as it fills up. Overall, a tasty option from time to time. Would recommend if you like smash burgers though they do also have hot dogs, and the custard is delicious. Go check them out if you haven't already

After seeing the smashburger tacos, my husband regretted his order. It was love at first bite--juicy steakburger with gooey American cheese, lettuce and jalapeño fry sauce on a tortilla. Definitely a must-try (can purchase a la carte & add to existing order). Husband's chicken sandwich had a weird texture (we were joking it was fish)--but chicken tenders seemed fine. Daughter devoured her dbl steakburger. Love the thin, crispy fries and crispy tot sides. Have the option for ketchup or choice of 3 flavors of fry sauce. Friendly staff, prompt service, hot food. Dining room was clean and rather quiet for dinnertime. A great and tasty fast food alternative to the usual suspects.

It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.
