Hubby ordered Twisted Carolina burger ( pepper jack cheese, red onions, jalapeno coleslaw, chilli and honey mustard). Hubby said it better the any Carolina style burger he had! I've been wanting to check them out ever since my sister in law asked me about this place, and I'm so glad I did! The young lady at the front was very nice and explained the menu to me as it was my first time there. I decided on the Swiss and Shroom burger with house made chips and it was delicious! I also appreciate being able to choose how my burger is cooked. While I got my food to go, I would definitely come back to eat inside. This is the most disgusting place we have ever eaten at. The food was so greasy, you can squeeze out the grease. The fish and chicken was so over done it was like they refried it again and forgot about it for about a hour or three. We order the fish on a bun and couldn't even hold it the bun was like it was dipped in oil. Order 6 meals and 6 meal went into the trash. I don't understand how anyone would let this be served!! Stopped in with friends for lunch recently on a "snow day", and enjoyed another tasty burger. On this visit, I decided to try something different. Though the Hello Dolly was great on my last visit, this time I got the Patty melt burger served between slices of sour dough bread, as a side I got the sweet potato fries. The food came out fairly quick, and looks great. But once i picked it up, it began to get very messy very quickly. I think they could probably reduce the amount of thousand island sauce they put on the burger. The fries were cooked to a perfect crispness, but I wasn't a big fan of the honey butter they were served with, i think ranch is a much better compliment to them. As a whole, it was a good visit, with tasty food an good friends. Though tasty, it was just incredibly messy, to the point I had to wash my hands after. I love a business that clearly indicates that some toppings are an upcharge as well as specifically states the price per topping. $6.99 for a nice sized burger and a side is a great price. We, of course, got additional toppings so our burgers weren't $6.99. I opted for a basic cheeseburger on sourdough bread cooked medium well - it came out as ordered. My side of sweet potato fries was very generous. My husband got a bacon cheeseburger on a bun cooked well done - I had to knock down a star because they forgot his bacon, but it was cooked correctly and otherwise topped correctly. He got his chips cooked crispy and they crunched with every bite. We also got boneless wings and they must have run out because they ended up giving us tenders - that means leftovers for tomorrow. They were busy, as expected on a night running a special. About 10 pick up orders and 10 people ordering inside in the time I spent waiting for my food. The young ladies at the registers were very nice and kept checking to make sure they had not missed my order. When it took longer than they expected they gave me a free drink which was very kind of them. They gave me my food and I filled up my drink, only for one of the young ladies at the register to tell me I only had my burgers in my bag. The young lady running expo then came back inside (she was looking for me outside) to tell me the same. She said she was ready to jump in the register to call me since she didn't see me outside. Though my tastes in burger have changed over time, from the thicker char-grilled burgers that PorterHouse serves, to the thinner smashed patties that are rising in popularity, I still like to enjoy a burger from here on occasion, especially on Mondays. Yes, the burger Monday special is hard to beat. A hamburger (with no premium toppings) and a regular side for $6. That's a steal these days, but of course, it is not that simple. Every premium topping carries a charge, and if you want a non-standard side that will have one as well. Keep in mind cheese is not included, and if you add 2 more premium toppers to your burger, you may be in the realm of what a normal burger on the menu might cost. So, legit, if you are just in the mood for a cheeseburger, or even a bacon cheeseburger, this is a great time to go. Otherwise, you might as well order a favorite from the menu. As I said before, these are the thicker grilled burgers, and I will say, they're really good about getting your desired temperature right. In the realm of ground meat, I'm going to be medium well, but some do like some pink or redness... just not me, not ground. The patty has a little seasoning, and comes on a pillowy bun. Their tater tots are really good, and that's usually what i'll get. I got the pickle chips once, and they are just too heavily battered for me. I'd prefer more, thinner bread, pickles. All in all, the Porterhouse locations are always a thumbs up for me. Try one if you haven't, just be aware that on Mondays they are typically VERY busy! read more

This is a great burger spot located in Palladium. The atmosphere is busy with burger, fries and sodas. They have a cute little patio with about 4 tables outside but we dined inside. My kiddo ordered the Kids Hot Dog and French fries. He enjoyed it but the edges of the bun were too toasted for him, almost crouton-like. And who comes to a burger joint and orders a salad, someone watching what they eat! The salad was plentiful, and had an abundance of bleu cheese, cranberries and walnuts. Where to even start. I ordered a burger at 5:58 on a Monday night through their website. I wasn't given an option to choose when I wanted it ready (ASAP: 15-25 minutes was the only choice) so I planned accordingly. I ended up waiting 58 minutes for a single burger. On top of that, the pink haired lady with a cat collar was trash talking people from behind the register the entire time I was there. If anything, that was mildly entertaining but highly unprofessional. I was never greeting at the counter, the person whom took my order obviously did not want to be there. I brushed it off and waited patiently at the table. The food was delivered promptly and burgers cooked to order. Sides were lukewarm at best. As I tried to justify the cost of this subpar meal, my mind wandered.
