The drip coffee was not great. It had a weird foam/milk and was not black coffee at all. We took it back to the barista and they replaced it for free with a latte, which was very kind. Good service, cool location, but not my favorite coffee. read more

Coming from a TCU student, Ampersand is extremely busy during the semester. You will not have anywhere to park at this location. You will not have anywhere to sit inside, it will be college students. And even then, as a student, for the last four years I usually cannot get a seat either. However, it is somewhat better after the remodel. That being said, Ampersand is convenient if you want a sweet drink on campus. If you're a true coffee/espresso lover, go somewhere else. The espresso is not great. Same with the matcha. Pricey too, but again, if you're on campus and just want a coffee it does the job. Staff is always friendly and works hard! read more

Ampersand is a great Fort Worth coffee shop! I am always on the lookout for a good rose flavor beverage and their Rose Cloud Tea does not disappoint. It is delightfully floral without being soapy or too sweet. Prices are a little high, but not unusually so for this area, so this is an occasional treat for me rather than a daily stop. The staff here are all really nice and clearly work hard to keep up with the crazy crowds. Every time I've stopped in, the place has been jam packed. Don't expect to find a table unless you get here early because it is a hot spot for studying students. I usually just get my drink to go and find a bench elsewhere. Ampersand is very clean given the foot traffic. Even the bathrooms were tidy! The whole coffee shop is chic and modern, but still cozy. Overall, this is a great place to grab coffee on the go. Great baristas, exciting menu, tons of seating. I had a spring special with the raspberry "Jelly" matcha with oatmilk on a Monday afternoon. It was okay, raspberry was fairly weak, matcha was not stirred enough for my liking. Tons of people studying, half getting togo, half staying. I was only able to get street parking for 2 hours ~~$5. not sure if there is a limit for that. Parking enforcement is pretty onpoint with checking fyi. My outlet did not seem to work. This is my favorite coffee shop so far in Fort Worth. The space is always clean and gives a perfect cozy vibe. My friends and I enjoy the music and sometimes they play movies on the projector. Service is quick and efficient despite how busy this place usually is. The drinks are great. I'm a big chai lover and their coconut and pumpkin-spice chai are both phenomenal. Although I've not tried it, I've heard their strawberry matcha is also delicious . I've been to this Ampersands with many friends and never has anyone ever disliked their drink. My one complaint with Ampersands is their prices. While the drinks prices are comparable to Starbucks, the food seems very overpriced. The avocado toast, for example, is great but certainly not worth $12. I highly recommend Ampersands to anyone who is looking for high-quality beverages and comforting coffee shop atmosphere. read more

The second to last time I was in here, I purchased a large coffee that I ultimately never received. Busy? No! Fresh coffee already brewed awaiting customers? No! Thirty minutes away from closing and want to coast the rest of the shift? Yes! I was straight up forgotten about. Well, in wanting to give them a second chance, my aunt and I paid a visit for a time of fellowship. A large iced tea is $6. Really?! I turned around and walked out. Never coming back here again. I always come here to do my homework and I will say it is always absolutely bumping in there. I always get the matcha and it is the most beautiful green color as matcha should be. Sometimes my grass juice from other places doesn't hit the same but Ampersand always gets me right. The baristas are also super cool and I want to be them when I grow up. 10/10 read more

This is a cute little coffee place close to TCU. Parking out front is limited and they have meters, but they have more around back. We like to lounge at different coffee places while we read. My husband likes to try the coffee and I enjoy trying the baked goods. We came here on a Sunday about an 1.5 hours before they closed. They of course brew their own coffee. We got the lavender honey with almond milk. They get their baked goods from a local bakery, perhaps? I was informed they do not make their own. We got 2 chocolate chip cookies. Several of the baked goods on the menu were gone already since it was later in the day. They warm your cookies and craft your coffee once you order. The cookies were warm but a little dry. The coffee was tasty. Since it was getting close to closing time, the place smelled of strong cleaning chemicals. Not very appetizing while drinking and eating. Overall, this place is cute. I like the decor and ampersand theme. I wish they had a couch. If we were to come back we need to come earlier, for a better baked good selection and to avoid cleaning time. Overall solid but also just had the normal trendy coffee shop vibes...if that makes sense! I ordered an iced smoky honey latte and it was honestly delicious and so interesting. My husband got regular cold brew and enjoyed it but nothing special there. The ascetic in this place is super cute but also very small. It wasn't too bad to hangout for a bit but it might be challenging to concentrate if it was busier or if you were up by the bar. The baristas knew their stuff and were super helpful yet at the same time they didn't seem like they cared that much about what they were doing aka on their phones or even being distracting when they weren't serving guests. Ampersand has always stood out in the bustling coffee scene in Fort Worth--for absolutely good reasons! Although I was at their university location this time, I have enjoyed my time at both locations! The atmosphere is always well-lit yet still cozy and chill with very ~aesthetic~ decor. The university location is almost always packed with students studying or hanging out! The Strawberry Fields Matcha Latte was PERFECT, with a balanced amount of matcha and strawberries. I have been digging this combo recently, and it felt so good to find a place that did it well! I added an extra shot to the Butter Brew Latte, which came out with the right amount of sweetness for me and was also very tasty! The baristas were patient with my questions and definitely efficient--people came in and out constantly, but the wait for drinks never felt that long. Ampersand is a cool and chich spot with a separate attachment in the back that turns into a bar in the pm. With a cool, millennial aesthetic. This place in Instagram worthy. They however had really beautiful and interesting flavors of specialty lattes, but when I asked for a recommendation, she said the honey latte. I asked for a more special rec and she was quiet and didn't really offer me one. So I ordered the honey latte. It was good, there was far too much ice in my 12 oz so I recommend you say "light ice" or get a hot beverage. But my cousin drank a lavender latte and it was exactly what I was looking for. A different flavor. Overall, this place was cool, it wasn't groundbreakingly the most amazing coffee I had ever had, but if you enjoy light lattes, which I certainly do, then it was good. read more
