Food was fresh and out quickly with barely a wait in the drive through during lunch on a weekday! The Chicago dog kept me full for a few hours and was bursting with flavor. The neon blue relish took me aback but everything tasted delicious and staff and manager always give a smile.

February 2026: This most recent visit I tried the Italian Beef sandwich with hot peppers and mozz cheese I may get that everytime from now on. It was so tasty! The peppers were Nice and crunchy and had a little heat. just right. The bread soaked up all the juiciness and held together perfectly. I signed up for their perks club and got free fries coming with my next visit.

Tasty spot for a quick lunch! The beef is really good and has a nice flavor. The onion rings were really delicious and super crispy! Fun 50s vibe inside.

My last stop in Tucson before heading back to Sierra Vista was at this new Portillo's by Reid Park. I'm from Chicagoland but never have been to Portillo's. My friend lived in the Chicago area for many years and enjoys Italian Beef sandwiches. I wanted him to take one home for himself. I'm not a fan of Italian Beef sandwiches, but I do like chicken. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich to eat for lunch the next day. We went inside to order as this was my first time inside and wanted to become familiar with the menu. My first impression was how cheerful the interior was. The red-white checkered tiles reminded me vaguely of Freddy's custard. There were computers to order from, but also humans at registers to order from. We ordered from a friendly human and a few minutes later our food was ready. I enjoyed the many photographs of historic places and celebrities. My sandwich was good, but too heavy on the jalapeno. I'd come back here again to try other non-beef items.

One thing I love about Portillos is my food is always fresh. Stopped through the drive through for some onion rings. I typically dine in, but it was awesome to see the service was still fantastic. Ring ding ding ding, they totally hit the spot. A real sliced onion and crispy panko type breading, you can't go wrong. I ordered the Maxwell St. as well, but no way to eat and drive. That one you have to sit and savor it. Lol

Here for second time and again, the service excellent, food delicious and atmosphere perfect. I brought my mother and each of our dogs this time so we sat on patio. Went in with order and waited in line that went rather quickly, while mom was on patio with both leashed dogs. The cashier was as friendly as another I had last week and just smiled her way throughout. We both had the delicious Chicago style dogs , shared French fries and I had ice tea to drink. My mom had the chocolate eclair cake and I, the chocolate cake. Everything delicious- and yes dogs shared her fries! The cakes? My goodness, frosting on both super good and cakes textures both soft and delicious. Highly recommend all of it! My mom went to fill her drink and check out decor- which she loved and spoke to gentleman in carry out section on way out saying she would take our order as it was ready but he had tray in hand already. He followed her out and was so kind when I remembered I needed to order a couple hotdogs only got our "kids" and he brought those out when ready as well. He pet my dog and was so kind. We had patio to ourselves and it was just the best weather and place to be for the visit we needed.

When I'm ready to cheat on diabetes, Portillo's is one of the usual and favorite suspects! They won't take extra bread out like Jimmy does, but they will hand the sandwich over to you as the individual ingredients. So I do that and absolutely pull as much bread out of it as I can, down to the crust. My blood sugar still spikes but falls quickly as well. But man, the deliciousness of Chicago makes it all the way to Tucson, can close my eyes and feels like the Chicago burbs. I do have a few fries, although they are absolutely forbidden, and one time I got the banana cake. I was a BAD boy, had to walk for miles! Food is always delicious, the restaurant is always clean, peeps are always friendly and helpful! 5 Stars!

I wanna just say first off. This place is amazing. As we went there, we were immediately wowed by the cool pictures and awesome memorabilia. It has. We were served immediately, and the food was enormous. And so good. The manager ray was a character to say the least. Hooten and holler, when we made our orders it was the best experience I've had in a long time. I highly recommend it 5 stars.(teen challenge.)

We were really surprised by Portillo's. There was a Yelp Elite event here and my family came with me and ordered food too, which of course we shared after realizing it was delicious! This is the review of the meal they paid for (and were nice enough to let me taste)! We purchased a bacon cheeseburger and a single rodeo burger along with an order of fries and an order of onion rings. The burgers were delicious (fluffy bread, perfectly sized patties, cooked to perfection). Our rodeo burger was actually missing the bacon which was a bummer but the bacon cheeseburger had so much bacon we were able to share! The patties had great flavor and weren't greasy. Those onion rings; so so good! Will definitely be back for more! Fries were solid but nothing memorable. We also ordered a strawberry shortcake and a vanilla shake, both delicious. Shake was a bit too sweet but the texture was wonderful; super creamy and delicious. The shortcake was incredibly good. Service was fine; staff was pleasant. The location itself is really cute, with some great artwork. We will definitely stop in again when we're in the neighborhood again!

Ordered the beef and cheddar on croissant. It definitely did not look like the picture. It was dry and there was barely any cheese and not much meat. When I asked an employee about this, I thought she offered some cheese sauce but she brought me some cold shredded cheese. Not a great experience. The chocolate cake was absolutely amazing though.

Portillo's will always be my favorite spot! I was introduced to their amazing food by my boyfriend, who's from Chicago, and I've been hooked ever since. They offer a wide variety from hot dogs and burgers to salads and chicken tenders and I've tried it all. Every item easily earns a 10/10! Don't forget to add a cheese cup for your fries it's a must. And whatever you do, do not skip the chocolate cake shake. It's legendary. Calories don't count at Portillo's; you just eat and enjoy! You can even take home a slice of their famous chocolate cake or go all out and get the whole cake! A big shoutout to the wonderful staff, who are always friendly and welcoming. On my last visit, Liz (also from Chicago!) helped us out and she was fantastic. The inside of the restaurant is super cool too. There's so much to look at on the walls, and the fun decor adds to the whole experience. If you haven't tried Portillo's yet, you're seriously missing out. Trust me you won't regret it!

Inside the Char Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage

My first time in and I had such a delicious experience at Portillo's! I ordered the Maxwell Street Polish Dog on French bread, fries with cheese sauce, and the chocolate eclair cake--everything was absolutely amazing! The food was ready fast and the dining room was decorated so cool and everything was very clean. The Polish Dog had the perfect snap and the bun was perfectly made and held the generous grilled onions and yellow mustard through the whole meal. The fries were crispy and golden, and dipping them in that creamy cheese sauce? Next level. But the real star of the show might have been the chocolate eclair cake--light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. You have to get dessert - they are sinfully delicious! A big shoutout to Jon at the counter--he was super helpful, took the time to walk me through the menu, and made a spot-on recommendation. His friendly attitude and patience made the experience even better. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Came in Sunday after church. I was unsure about what to order but the cashier, Manny, was able to…read morethoroughly answer all my questions. I love corn dogs and hotdogs in general so I was pretty excited to try this. I decided on the American dog which was so so so good. They did this perfectly. Sweet cornmeal outside with a delicious beef dog on the inside. The cornmeal coating had good flavor but the texture was softer, like it's mixed with flour. The taste was still sweet and reminiscent of a traditional corndog. I also got the Two Hands dog, half beef and half mozz. It was surprisingly good. I got the ranch on the side. The flavor was unique, slightly sweet and slightly savory. It did not have a huge amount of flavor which made it pair really well with the delicious tangy ranch. The breading for the this was flour so the texture is softer. The mozzarella was interesting and there was a lot of it. Both dogs were huge. I'd say 2 is a good amount for dinner and it came out to $11. I would come back! I think it's an interesting and fun concept that is executed well. I'd probably get this same exact order again.

I really like Korean corn dogs. I like the chewy texture of the crust and melty mozzarella. I even…read moreusually like the sugar topping, but this most recent visit was just not up to snuff. The staff was incredibly sweet and made me feel welcome. I ordered the combo meal with a corn dog, fries, and a drink ($13), selecting the crispy rice corn dog (half cheese, half dog, of course), kimchi fries, and a taro boba (additional $2). Unfortunately, the crispy rice and sugar combo was just nooooot the right move. I definitely should have picked something else because the texture of the crispy rice was dry, and coupled with the sugar... It was just not a great experience to say the least, haha. The kimchi fries were flavorful and crunchy, so I have no complaints about that. But the boba... Hooooly. It was the worst boba I've ever had, and that's not an exaggeration. The texture of the taro (milk tea??) was close to pudding, so it was like I was chewing my drink--which is the expectation when you're eating *boba*, but not drinking *tea*. The flavor was decent, but it was so difficult to drink because it was just thick and gooey. It was genuinely horrendous. Worse yet, the boba was wrong! The tapioca pearls weren't sweet and chewy; instead, they were cakey and broke in one bite! No chew, no flavor, then combine it with the gooey, pudding-like taro "milk tea" makes for the worst boba drink ever. Overall, I can't write off Two Hands because I KNOW that their other corn dogs are good, but DO NOT waste your money on a boba. Just hop across the street for Ni Hao Tea.
