Printers are a necessity for me, so when mine when on the fritz, it threw a wrench on my day. I've had my Brother printer for almost 5 years and I'm quite happy with it. The thought that it's life was over, that it was destined for a landfill, and that I'd have to replace it filled me with dread. I called Greg even though Brother isn't one of the brands he lists on his website. He returned my call in a matter of minutes. I texted him a photo of the back of my machine, as he requested and learned in less than 30 minutes that he could get the necessary part and repair it. Since the part controlled a rarely needed sensor, he even tried to 'work around' the sensor to enable me to operate. I sure am impressed with Portland Printer Repair! My 20 year old HP laser printer stopped working. I followed its manual, did 2 suggested fixes, and it still didn't work. So I called Portland Printer Repair to see if it was worth repairing since it's so old. Greg spent quite a bit of time talking with me, determined that the part it needs is no longer available and that finding and installing a used part would be pretty expensive. He recommended that I get a new printer. I asked about recycling options for the old one, and he took the time to discuss them with me.
