They're gone, and while they get things back to their previous excellent work, I'd recommend the Sunnyside store.] Now the glowing review: Ron picked up my Dell desktop, and Tony did a ghost backup, changed out the old HD for a lightning-fast 2 TB solid-state drive, ran diagnostics, reinstalled the data, and delivered it back super fast. They did such a great job that there has not been a single issue with the data, programs, or appearance. It's like nothing was done, except give it a dose of speed. Fantastic job you guys!! Bought a used phone, for someone abroad. Was told it would work, was unlocked, etc. got a "good price". Except it isn't unlocked or unlockable & won't work abroad and when the network was contacted about it it was a known to be stolen phone. Won't ever go there again. Would not recommend it at all. I work from home and my laptop is life. It took a really hard fall, seemed to be a lost cause. My husband took it to a shop and they told him "there is nothing we can do to fix this computer, it is not worth it." I knew they hadn't even looked at it because of what he was reporting back to me. We took it to CompRite Computers and they said they would take a look. They replaced two parts at a very minimal price. Made it like new. I loved their service so much I went back to take them up on their offer of adding a digital hard drive for a great price. My iphone stopped working during an update. I took it to a few other apple repair places and they said there was nothing they could do. I called Comprite and they seemed confident they could find a solution but I was skeptical. I brought my Iphone 6 and within a half hour my phone was working again with a brand new operating system. I agree with everyone that has posted about COMPRITEs friendliness but execution is well below what I expected. I paid in full in early October it is now pushing mid November.... If customers PAY IN FULL up front...it would be best if this money was treated with priority. Perhaps give half the money back until the repair is completed? read more

Please don't waste your money and time for these liars. I would like rate 0 star for this place. It is the worst phone repair service ever I got. I went to there to replace the Samsung note 10+ camera glass. After everything done, guys turned my phone back with a horrible camera quality that he said cause by my original note 10+ camera. Ironically , that guy is a clumsy liar. Im pretty sure that he made some mistakes when replacing the glass( overheating) or exchanged fraudulently camera and doesn't want take responsibility for that. Got blue lines all over the screen. Took it back, the husky Russian guy straight up said I would have to pay more if I want a new Zotac card installed and they can only offer me back $169 in STORE CREDIT if I take my computer back with my broken card. So I disputed the charge. Overpriced used stuff, much cheaper online, trust me, I almost bought a used iPad mini for $300, I asked what generation it was, the guy said gen 1, I laughed and guy knocked it down to $220, I still laughed. Twice I have been in a bind with Apple products and my man Eugene at the Foster Blvd. CompRite has helped me out. A few years back during a rare Portland, Oregon snow storm I needed a cracked monitor screen fixed for my MacBook Pro and Eugene stayed open late to help me resolve my issue despite most places closing earlier. Last night and today I was toiling with a dead screen on my iPhone 6 and calling up the Geniuses at Apple was a frustrating experience for me. Went in there because my Iphone was not charging. Asked him how much it was to repair. First he said it was a free diagnostic so they took it to the back room. Came out shortly later and said we have to charge you $50 to figure out whats wrong which was not covered under the free diagnostic. Then said it could be either the battery or the charging port. I asked how much those were and he said "probably around $50 each I'm guessing". I wanted more of a firm answer before giving my phone to them to charge me what they pleased. He went into the back room and shut the door every time I asked a question which was kinda awkward. So they were going to charge me $150 to replace the battery and charging port which these parts are less than $10each to buy online and the process takes 30 min for a skilled tech. Than after all this, I took a small brush and some rubbing alcohol to my charging port and it fixed the problem completely. Maybe their pricing is industry standard but it seems like a rip off. Comprite just did not fit my needs for the problem I had. read more

When our main household computer (tower) stopped sending a video signal to our monitor, we were dead in the water. Took it here because of the great reviews. I believe the name of the store manager was Paul at the Happy Valley office. He explained their business model which is, no matter what it takes, it's a flat fee of $150. I was OK with that. Additionally this 5 year old computer was getting a little slow. He offered a fair price on a 500 meg solid state hard drive (I had been looking at them on newegg.com) and I gave the green light for install. Came back the next day, everything was fixed and my computer booted up in 14 seconds...wow. Internet surfing is now faster than EVER! And, now I can back up everything to my conventional hard drive for redundancy. My experience here was, Paul wanted me to leave with a better computer than I came in with, and they did. Their technicians know what they are doing, and this is a high volume business. Looks like just about everyone in Clackamas and Happy Valley go here for repairs. Took my Lenovo laptop to have the hard drive replaced with a solid state 1TB drive - and the data transferred. Total cost $300. Was told it would be done by the next day. Received a call mid-day saying that the hard drive was damaged and that they would need more time for the transfer. I gave them the weekend. When I went back the following Monday, they still hadn't finished transferring the data, but the new hard drive was in place...sans all my data. Had to leave on vacation, so I took the laptop and left with the promise that when I returned, they would have the data recovered. Spent about 5 hours of my vacation reinstalling all the software, etc. I lost, and hoping to have my data back at some point. Thankfully, I backed a few things up before going to them, so I had something to work with. Returned after a week, and they only had half of the data. I took what they had and left. Bottom line, I have a working computer now, but didn't get all my data back as promised. While it's great to have my laptop back, the whole interaction felt less professional than I had hoped for. They also didn't wear masks when serving customers, which didn't thrill me. read more

These guys are true elite professionals in their field. Honest business with people who treat you like family. I've often times had horrible experiences in the past with tech support/electronic sales. Sort of like a cliche and stereotypical version of a sleezy car salesman who upsells you on cars fixed inadequately, and makes empty promises to throw in bells and whistles if you JUST pay a little extra. These past experiences were enough to keep me at bay from purchasing any new electronics, as well as procrastinating the repairs of any I had. Such is NOT the case here. After purchasing a new Asus touch screen at Best Buy, including new mouse, mouse pads, cases, batteries, the WORKS, they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to simply screen my computer for viruses at Geek Squad by selling ridiculous programs I was pretty certain I didn't need. I was finally forced to bring in my laptop after the mousepad stopped working less than a year later, and the once functional service got slow enough to where you could fit in nap-time while simply restarting it. After having no limbs to give, my guard was up while I went desperately searching for someone to assist on fixing my new computer. Heard about CompRite from a close friend who sang nothing but high praises, saying they are the go-to for my specific situation. They were the light at the end of a dark technological tunnel, and needless to say, they did not disappoint. Day 1: They promised to scan, diagnose, and fix the problems on my laptop, while greatly increasing the performance within the span of a couple days. They called on Day 2 saying I needed a new hard drive, and told me exactly how much it would cost, and what to expect from it once replaced. They kept every single promise they made, and when I came in to pick it up on Day 3 of them having it, they went above and beyond to show me features and settings on my computer I didn't even know I had. They ran a couple test drives to show me my money was very well spent. My device is now running like a DREAM, and what once took 3-5 minutes simply to start now LITERALLY takes 6 seconds to pull up. Awesome place! Paul was very helpful with my old iPad that I have for the little one. That I pad is for my grandson to play, and few days ago he drop it on the screen and that was it. First day pass and I realize we must get a new one or something otherwise e is not going to stop whining about his YouTube - this how he call it- 4 yr old go figure :) Anyway new one is around 900 some dollars That I don't have in this moment, and a friend say "way won't u fix it?" So I look for a place and Comprite pop in my search, I call and the guy say come on over we can get it running for you tomorrow. Taking my laptop to Comprite has been one worst decisions I have ever made. I initially went there to get my AC port replaced on my Laptop, it took several weeks even though they said it would be about 2-3 days max. When I came in to pick it up and they had lost my charger and it took about half an hour for them to find it. When I got home and plugged the laptop in it never came on. So I took it back and they said the charger overpowered the mother board and fried it. When I finally got the computer back 7 MONTHS LATER with the new mother board, it ran so painfully slow it it is useless for anything. I had Dell run a Diagnostic, it turns out the original Solid state hard drive was no longer in the computer, but instead a cheap aftermarket split state drive not adequate or compatible with the computer. I cant exactly say what happened to the hard drive, but I know that my laptop worked perfect before I had taken it to Comprite (except the ac port), now I am out $350 and left with a laptop that does not work.
