I brought my Lenovo W520 laptop in for servicing at the Radiant Tech Repair shop at 4038 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR 97212 Weeks ago. I stopped by in person three times since then for an update. I was informed by the Radiant Tech--both over the phone and in person--that they haven't started working on my laptop. I tried to contact "Radiant Tech Repair," but their phone has been out of service. I tried to go to their web site, but the web site link was broken. Yelp's business information on Radiant was a broken URL as well. I'm concerned for the length of time that has passed with no update or resolution. I went to Radiant Tech Repair on 01/22/2023 to pick up my laptop if not done. I did picked up my laptop computer without resolution. Given enough time I'm confident that their skills are acceptable, but their communication with customers could be improved upon. read more

I've had to deal with several computer companies around town over the past several years, I have to say that Adam and Brant with Radiant Tech Repair the best by far. Both of these guys are very smart and knowledgeable as well as very friendly and personable. A lot of times you talk to tech people are IT people and the communications a little off because of how different tech minded minds work and communicate versus just a normal non-tech person like me. These two are so customer service orientated that you do not feel that way at all. Love you guys and I can't imagine taking my computer needs anywhere else. read more

I had fallen and broken my phone screen and taken it to uBreakiFix at first. Their repair was decent but my screen turned blue and it turns out... they did a super shoddy job. They left a screw loose that pierced my battery and caused it to swell and the phone to split apart. uBreakiFix told me they replaced the screen (again) and battery and I was on my way. What does that have to do with Radiant? Well it turns out that uBreakiFix gave me yet another defective part - the battery AND they didn't replace the screen at all. Radiant was recommended to me and I asked that they look at the phone. I got pictures proving uBreakiFix did a terrible job and the tech Brant explained what he replaced, what battery he used and how to keep it working well. Super nice, super helpful, never once judged me for not knowing everything there is to know about phones. I'll definitely return to Radiant for anything I need fixed. They had my laptop twice, both for extended periods of time with absolutely zero communication. Seems like a nice guy, but no matter how many times (many, many, many) I asked him to let me know what was happening, I NEVER got a call. He did manage to transfer just some of my data to a new laptop. Took a long time. I took the old one back to have the input jack replaced. It worked for a couple of weeks before failing again--apparently a problem with the motherboard, but dude had it for a couple of months and didn't return messages I left--I thought maybe they were out of business. Seems to be completely clueless. read more

Lap top repair stated one week to complete. Three weeks later I get back with no explanation of delay but with a lot of negative attitude of why I was calling . Repair lasted just over 30 says and they agreed to take another look which on a Sat. and to be ready by next Tuesday. Three weeks later problem not solved so I go pick up and money spent with negative results. This was my experience so I do not recommend folks that can not keep their word. Zero stars read more

Radiant Repair did a splendid job resuscitating my laptop!!! Honest service and fair prices.

I'm not sure how these guys have gotten such good reviews so far. My computer is freezing up every minute or so, so I decided to bring it in to Radient Tech Repair. I paid $100 for the repair. He had it for over a month and never called me to pick it up. I called a few times and it wasn't ready yet. Finally, I picked it up. I took it home and immediately it started to freeze again. I brought it back since it was still covered under warranty. Again, it was there for at least 3 weeks, and again no calls telling me it was finished. I had to call in and check. I picked it up and AGAIN it immediately froze up when I used it. He then said it was probably a memory issue. I took it back to him and he had it again for about a month. He supposedly put a 4 GB RAM into it and charged me $20. I still got no phone call telling me it was ready for pick-up. Anyhow, brought it home and it is now immediately freezing up again. He claims he could not get it to freeze up, but it does so just trying to launch a browser, check email, watch a video, etc. This process has taken over 3 months, cost $120 and my computer is not working any different than when I first brought it in. Fair prices and honest service.... I've used this computer shop for wiping clean an old laptop then they re-installed Windows 10 for me. Another lap top computer I brought in was shot, diagnosed by them and not worth fixing for $300, which was more than that computer was worth. The most recent work was a Mac Laptop they found on wasn't connecting to the internet with the on-board WiFi card so they installed a new one for us. read more

Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Took my PC here to figure out what was wrong with it and every week when I would call they would give a very short and broad response about what they were doing to my computer. Long story short, 2 months later and still no fix. I call them and they say they are making progress which was a lie. I pick up my PC that same day and take it to another shop. New shop finds the problem and fixes it in 2 days time. Never use this repair shop. They clearly don't know what they are doing and won't admit it either! read more

I had recently bought a laptop that I could have sworn had 500 Gigs of space, but apparently it did not and had about half that. So I needed an upgrade. With one call in with Brent, we had a time for me to drop it off for them to figure out what Hard drive they needed and he had a TB one ordered that day. 2 days later the new one was in and I had enough more space than I'd need. I wish I could give six stars. I had a whopper of a problem getting my computer and my printer to agree. Believe me I wrestled with it for weeks then called HP tech support. They charged me $100.00 for nothing except to tell me to buy a new printer. I ordered the darned printer, but realized none of my other devices would print from the new or old printer. What a waste!!! It dawned on me that it wasn't a printer problem. I was digusted with HP and called around and lucked into finding Adam and Brent. Adam charged a flat rate, came out, took my printer and PC back to the shop and dug around. He found out it was a Windows 10 software problem. He was so smart, patient and easy to deal with. Great repair place in a convenient location. My 6 year old Gateway compact desktop's hard drive was failing. Radiant recommended a solid state drive for my use. They installed it, got me set up and ready on Windows 10, and turned it around in a few days at a good and fair price (I shopped a few others). The SSD made that box a rocket!
