While I like to say I never have liquids by my computer....I grabbed my MacBook Pro really quick to double check something and knocked over some water. Didn't think I'd gotten any into my laptop but the next day - the thing would not boot up or hold a charge. At all. Took it to Apple who didn't even bother looking at it - just said "It's $1500 to repair and a new one is the same price". I really couldn't afford a new one right now and was going to just buy the special wrench you need for a MacBook and just see if we could fix it via a video I found when the guy at CompuRite said - you can just come over and use it. Thought that was pretty nice. Once we brought it in, they said they could do a diagnostic for $89.99. Figured - well I'll try anything...why not? At first they couldn't get it working either but said they were going to try something else. A few day went by and I was expecting them to say it was a nice paperweight when they said "Oh yeah, it's all ready to go and you just owe $60 more". They had to replace a port but thankfully the motherboard was fine. I'm beyond happy as my daughter is taking this to college in the fall. Amazing!!! They did it again! Saved my husband's iPhone 6s after he tried to fix it himself from YouTube videos. He had it apart trying to dry it after he had dropped it in water 2 weeks ago. All the memories saved on his phone we asked just to be recovered and didn't care if the phone worked afterwards. But after about an hour I called back and they had it working!! I came in and they had replaced the outer shell so it's like a brand new phone! They went above and beyond. Great customer service doesn't even describe it. Updated: their prices went way up with the new ownership. Cracked phone repairs are $189 vs the previous $150. When I asked where Tony was, the new employee told me he was fired because "he was a horrible technician. That's why they hired me. To replace that loser." I asked him why the prices went up and he said the previous owners weren't charging enough and people are willing to pay more..... googling for a new repair place now. Their only saving grace was they are faster than the previous establishment. They really know what they are doing!!! Paid $49.99 to evaluate a damaged iphone 6 Plus. A few days later received email stating almost everything except main chip needed to be replaced including the battery. When i picked up the phone I was told the battery worked, but the screen would not power up. The $49.99 charge was to be applied to repairs, but was told the $179.99 estimate to repair was on top the $49.99. No detailed list of charges were offered. I was told the phone would be worth $350 when fixed, but clerk couldn't tell me how she came up with this value. Not pleased, feel like they push every part replacement possible and are trying to justify repair expense based on the used value of the phone, not real repair costs. Dan read more

Honestly this place saves my life every time something goes wrong with my electronics. A few days ago my laptop crashed on me and they got me in right away and got working on it. They saved me so much money and time and got everything fixed within 2 days compared to Apple not being able to even get me in for 8 days then trying to charge me one part which was the total of my entire fix at Comprite which i was super impressed over. Wow...the guy working in this store was so unprofessional. I asked about replacing a iPhone screen and asked if he had an example of the work (ie. show me another phone that you've repaired) He looked at me like I was asking for the keys to his car. I only asked because I've seen some after-market repairs where the screen is not OEM and does not sit well on the phone. It's actually raised too high above the base. I'm not saying this place does bad work, but based just on his attitude, I'll go elsewhere. By the way, the Apple Store will replace a cracked iPhone 6 screen for $129...this place charges $109. For $20, I'll go to Apple and have it done right. read more

They replaced my Apple IPhone screen, & my phone did not work properly after I picked it up. Took is back 3 times to be told nothing is wrong. I have purchased several screen protectors for both my wife's and my phones. They work great and you don't even know they are on the phone. That is until I dropped my phone (countless times) and this one time recently a high spot or rock in the walkway hit just so on the edge. The edge of the protector took a chip, which developed into a crack a few weeks later, but no worries - the phone screen was undamaged when I peeled the protector off. I put on a new one and I'm back in business! My recommendation is don't leave home without one on your phone! read more

Went to get my iPhone screen fixed here about 3 months ago. I did notice it had a bright spot on it when I got it home, but didn't think much of it. I put a screen protector on it as soon as I got the new screen. I'm guilty of dropping my phone on a regular basis. Within the past few weeks, I noticed my screen wasn't responding like it should, it was pushing weird buttons, etc. I went in to ask them about it and he said I needed another new screen. Like I said, I do have a screen protector and a case. I never dropped the phone on its face, but I probably did drop it here and there, so who's to know if it was my fault that it stopped working or if it was because the screen they put in was low quality? Anyway, the guy there was nice enough to waive the cost of labor and just charge me for the part on the new screen, so I'd say that's a good compromise. He also originally told me he'd need to keep it overnight, because I brought it in late afternoon, but he was able to get it repaired within a few hours. Hoping this new screen lasts a bit longer! Went to CompRite after comparing many different repair shops to fix my s8+ back glass. The reason being is that they promised OEM glass back replacements for the S8+ when I talked with an employee over the phone. After being promised OEM, the ordered part was a plastic Chinese 3rd party manufactured part. The repair costed $70 compared to $50 at a local repair shop in Corvallis. I specifically went to Comprite because they promised OEM and I found out after the repair that it was the same cheap plastic back used at the local shop. Further investigating the repair work I found that cosmetic damage had occurred due to the repair. The process of running a razor blade between the back glass and frame to remove it scraped the metal edge surrounding the back during the repair. To add to the list, the back is not even seated properly and you can feel the edge of the back off one side when you hold the phone. If you are attentive to detail and want a quality repair, I would suggest another business. read more

One month ago, 9/25/16, I had my Dell computer there to have the clicking noise looked into. I paid $145.00 and said they would clean it out and in 5 days it would be ready. Five days later I picked it up and they said they cleaned everything and found no reason for the clicking. Well one month later the clicking has started again. I called they said there was no warranty on their looking at it and said if I wanted them to look at it, it would be another $90.00. Well, I will never go back to them for anything.
