This guy is awful. Loud, rude, and really ignorant of the area that he is supposedly giving tours of.

First time in Portland, Maine and first time doing a bike tour so we weren't quite sure what to…read moreexpect. Our tour guide Tom was awesome. We were the only 2 people on the tour so it was pretty cool having our own little private tour. The meetup spot was easy to find and Tom got us all set up and helped us adjust our bikes. The bikes come with a decent sized bag (pannier) which was plenty big for a large water bottle, jacket, phone, etc. The ride is about 12 miles long with various stops to refill water or use the restroom. We had no problems doing the ride but we are in our 30's and in good shape. We had lobster rolls, chips, and some delicious molasses cookies for lunch. There was also root beer and blueberry soda available. I must say, I was very impressed with the delicious lunch. I was not expecting such a yummy lobster roll. Tom went ahead of us and had the picnic table all set up by the time we arrived. I must also point out that he had to do some major maneuvering on the day we took our trip due to a high volume of people in the park for HS graduation and other events. Tom gave us some really cool info about the area and answered all of our questions. He was informative without being over the top. There was time at each spot to walk and meander before heading off to the next stop. The final stop is the Two Lights State Park before getting back on the van and heading back. What a wonderful way to see Portland & get a little exercise too. Too bad we don't live here, I would love to buy Tom a beer or two and chat more with him about this cool city. The tour has been the highlight of our trip so far!

Our tour guide, Lauren, was a life long Maine resident, and such a fun, upbeat, guide for our day. The ride was relatively easy, and we had plenty of time to explore at each lighthouse. The Portland Head Light is stunningly beautiful, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the views, take photos, etc. The lunch stop at Bite into Maine was fabulous! Our guide took our orders ahead of time so everything was ready when we arrived. Nothing beats a lobster roll and a blueberry soda! This should be a must-do activity on your Portland visit!

Renting a bike is a great way to see some beautiful sights and explore the city. If you're in…read morefairly good health and want the see some great spots in Portland, ME (i.e. Lighthouses, Promenade), I'd recommend renting a bike. Found this place online and located it south downtown area near Franklin St. You'll find the place by the bay in front of an Industrial Shipping Crate and several bikes parked in front. Matt was very friendly and found the perfect bike for me as I informed him that I'm shorter than average. He immediately found me the perfect bike that has a low seat. He even recommend some great places for lobster rolls as it was my first time in Maine. Customer Service from Matt (5/5) as I appreciated his helpfulness. Since it was a smaller bike, it would be $20 full day! Sweet. The bike appeared in fair condition as I tested it out, but along the way to the lighthouses, I found out the gears jerked and randomly switched on me. It definitely needed a tune up and made biking experience unpleasant especially going uphill. (2/5). I was provided a black and white printout of the map and was provided a Masterlock, wire, and a key. It's not a Kryptonite or the most helpful map I've been provided compared to other places like Urban Cycles or Adventures. Upon returning my bike, I met Issac, a different guy and asked if I could get a discount since it was was jerky. He claimed that it was too late and that I should of let them know before hand. I was also charged for a full price $30, even though it was a smaller size and just missed the half day time (2/5). I think my suggestion would be to explicitly charge on the card first and authorize to charge extra when going over and temporary charging if losing the bike. I would also recommend heading over to Gorham or Allspeed for a higher quality and smoother experience.

We were looking for a last minute kayaking trip and I couldn't have been happier with what we found. Definitely worth every penny. I called in the morning for a sunset tour and Piper was more than accommodating. Once we got to the place where we were going to start our trip, my friends and I were instantly greeted with a smile from Piper and Kevin. She let just my 5 friends do our own tour, and it was such a great experience the entire time. First, Piper offered to take pictures the whole ride out there, which was great! Next, she took us to this old WW1 building on its own island and let us explore for as long as we wanted. We all took our time on the ride back and were able to enjoy an incredible evening and a picture perfect sunset. Additionally, Piper couldn't have been more patient with us either. Not all of my friends were experienced and she took the time to make sure we were comfortable paddling and didn't rush us at all. She also gave us awesome food and drink places to go to at night! Overall, if you're in Portland and are looking for an awesome kayaking experience, you MUST use this company. It was such a fun experience. She also donates a portion of the fee to homeless LGBT youth, she's awesome! Again, it was the highlight of our trip and would absolutely recommend this company to anyone!
