No drink menu. Told bartender can make anything. Ordered a painkiller and was told don't have the ingredients. Ordered an old fashioned and he skipped over all the bourbon and poured some jack daniels, no bitters, threw an orange wedge in the glass. Worst drink i ever had. Save your money.

Ports of call is at the DoubleTree in Annapolis where I am currently staying and their drinks are absolutely amazing and the bartenders really do a great job... they are all very personable and have their own unique style of how they do things... The kitchen staff definitely knows their way around the kitchen if you come to Ports of call I do recommend getting the Rockefeller oysters they are great appetizer and they are not disappointing if you like seafood. My main entree for dinner was the chicken Caesar salad all the ingredients were fresh and the chicken was on point. The wait staff rather you go for breakfast lunch or dinner are very friendly. This also seems to be a place that locals go on the weekends to hang out in the bar and have cocktails and to socialize.. I have definitely had a great experience here..

He let me know about the half off wine special and half off pasta Wednesday specials as well. We ordered the salmon with Brussels sprouts wild catch dish, crab dip, and the Cheseapeake pasta. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The pasta had a rich lobster cream sauce with plenty of lump crab meat and shrimp. The crab dip was flambéed table-side and it came with hot naan chips. I'll definitely be coming back to take advantage of their specials throughout the week. I'd recommend making reservations especially if the Naval academy is having any events. Once seated the server approaches us with a bottle of Saratoga water and aked if this was our first time at the restaurant. I replayed yes and she proceeded to inform us of all the food stations. She continued to ask if she could take our drink order and I had inquired about the cost of the bottle of Saratoga water it was $6 and we decided to purchase the which left me thinking the tap water was not good. The food I had bacon, eggs, shirmp and sausage gravy, prime rib roast and grits. The egg were okay. The bacon was good and crispy. The grits and cheese was good, shrimp and sausage in gravy. The gravy was so thick you could not get to the meat. The prime rib was small and over cooked. I also ordered a latte with espresso and coffee both was so weak the Saratoga water tasted better. Asked that both be removed from my check. The music was great. Note: be prepared to pay an 18% gratuity/tip which included in the total on the check. There was three in our party our tip was $28 which means it's $9.33 per person.

For a restaurant with a full bar, it was surprising they had no mezcal and were supposedly out of top-shelf bourbon, yet still served me a drink that tasted overly sweet and nothing like the premium bourbon I ordered. Another letdown was the lack of bread service. Other J. Alexander's locations usually serve croissants, so having none available took away from the experience. The food didn't make up for it either. The steak lacked flavor and felt low quality for the price. The "fried chicken platter" was basically oversized chicken tenders marketed as an entrée, and the mac and cheese was watery and bland instead of rich and creamy. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and poorly executed. Between the missing staples, questionable bar service, and underwhelming food, this location did not feel worth the cost.

Full On Craft Eats. The Toast online ordering system was easy to navigate and adorned with pictures of every menu item. I could not get past the onion rings on the starter menu hoping they would taste as good as they looked. My friend offered to split the Slammin Salmon sandwich and onion rings since she has had it before and never finished the entire thing. I took her up on it and the order was placed. A quick ask for mom to grab it on the way home and the food made its way back quickly. WOW is all I can say. When you order food to go there is a level of expectation that it will not be as good as it is at the restaurant, especially fries and onion rings. But in this instance WOW. Talk about food that travels well. Fourteen minutes away and the food was still warm, the onion rings were so crisp, and the garlic and dill aioli and onion ring sauce were just right. The Slammin Salmon was served on ciabatta bread that was not too soft not too hard, with salmon cooked perfectly. The lemon dill aioli was a game changer so much that my friend's advice to order extra was well received and committed to memory. The onion rings lived up to the hype, cooked perfectly with a crust I cannot even explain. The kind you bite into without losing the entire onion from the breading. Dip it into the sauce and you have a match made in heaven. Half the sandwich was more than enough but the next day I would have loved some leftovers. Now for the extra razzle dazzle. I left to visit a friend in DC and sent him the menu, shared my experience and he was locked in to try. Online ordering was closed since they were closing at 10pm so I called as a last-ditch effort since the anticipation was already there. The nicest most warm individual answered ten minutes before closing and was more than happy to take my order. She even made sandwich recommendations. I quickly arrived at a shopping center that was easy to get in and out of. Walking in you immediately arrive at the counter and takeout area to your left with a nice bar area a short walk past on the right. The cooks and wait staff were having the best time using the 6/7 saying that was all over social media late last year. They were considerate when they noticed I was in the restaurant, but I assured them I loved their energy. I see why the food is so good because the energy shows it was made with great vibes and laughter all around. As I grabbed the bag to leave the hostess stopped me to add another fork and extra napkins since I would need them to add the pickled veggies on my sandwich. Such a nice touch. Thirty plus minutes to DC and the food still did not need to be reheated. The Mai Thai sandwich was a hit with flavors that married well and the onion rings delivered again. The Spicy Thai wings were good for wings but typical. They had a lot to compete with. Full On Craft Eats Annapolis, not to be confused with Rockville, is an experience you will want to repeat again and again. Good food fast that travels well (yes that is a thing). A great addition to any table worth gathering at. I did it twice in one day!!
