Did a solo lunch here. 10/10. Great service, very accommodating, great vibe and atmosphere, and delicious food. The oysters were really good but the bacon was a little too much. Maybe bacon bits would be better and would not overpower the oyster itself. But that's more an observation than complaint. When I'm back in Annapolis I'm definitely coming back here and trying more of the menu. Would highly suggest making a rez.

Baked Oysters "Carrol's Creek" (top), Cream Of Crab Soup (bottom)
Tina C.

We were impressed by how fresh the ingredients were, and especially loved the rockfish dish. The beurre blanc was an excellent touch to the dish, along with the grilled veggies and crab lump meat atop the fish. The cream of crab soup was also great, with touches of fresh crab meat. The baked oysters were a bit too briney and sandy/crunchy for our liking. Excellent, friendly service. Gorgeous water view with indoor and outdoor seating options. On the pricier side.

Special: encrusted halibut
Bill C.

Service was better. Food was delicious. We both got the encrusted halibut at the recommendation of our server. She was spot on! We also got the hushpuppies which were tasty even if they hadn't had the bits of shrimp in them. Glad they did, though. Each bite had a bit of shrimp.

Review: Carrol's Creek Café - Annapolis, MD Carrol's Creek Café delivers an outstanding waterfront dining experience. The location is unbeatable--right on the harbor with beautiful views that make any meal feel special. Service was excellent from start to finish, attentive without ever being intrusive. The food is a standout. The crab cakes are truly exceptional, and the cream of crab soup might be the best I've ever had. Their lunch menu is perfect for meetings: great variety, well‑executed dishes, and a relaxed but refined atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic spot in Annapolis. I'll definitely be back.

Scallops appetizer

Wasn't impressed. Came due to great reviews. Ordered two items they are known for... the scallops appetizer and crab soup. The scallops being fried with a fried phyllo dough left it feeling very heavy, and the phyllo was actually a little on the burnt side. The soup wasn't bad. It was just way too heavy and rich. After all that I just ordered a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp added. The shrimp smelled "off"and I couldn't eat it. Don't recommend this place sadly.

First time visitor. Hubby and I truly enjoyed our food. The restaurant has ai many windows, that you had great views no matter where you were seated. Will be back!

Excellent location, attentive service, average food with above average prices. Portions are fair but quality is just eh imo. I heard a lot about Carrol's Creek, so may have had elevated expectations which they did not quite hit. We started with the scallops, which had a bit too much shredded phyllo. The crab cake was good but a bit dry. The rockfish had a great lump of crab and was cooked appropriately. The cocktail selection was creatively. The old fashioned was smooth. The views were nice, even from the inside. I highly recommend trying to get seated on the deck (reservation required). They validate parking!

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary at Carrol's Creek Cafe, and I could not have been happier. I had no clue where he had planned for us to have dinner, I just knew that it was a location in Annapolis. From the minute we walked in to the quite inconspicuously located entrance, I was prepared for just about anything! But every single expectation was met, when we were seated outside, immediately next to Spa Creek and the Drawbridge; just in time to watch the entire sunset in all its glory. The service, food and wine were all impeccable! I started with the house special - the Sea Scallops, and chose the Sautéed Shrimp and Crab Pasta for my main! Both of these were 10/10 and truly seasoned and prepared to perfection. There was no over seasoning, I could taste each and every one of these fresh ingredients in the pasta... From the grilled zucchini to the fresh lump crab, the cherry tomatoes and the lemon zest !! My husband had the Cream of Corn soup & the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, both of which he devoured! When my husband made the reservation, he made the note that it was an anniversary dinner, but perhaps they missed this on our reservation when we checked in? There were a few other tables with celebrations like birthdays, and they got a sweet card and that additional special treatment to complement the evening. But this was missed with us - but that's not such a big deal. What a memorable way to end our one year wedding anniversary! Looking forward to going back again, for hopefully more special occasions.

SECRET HAPPY HOUR Eastport locals know how to eat well and stretch their drinking dollars .. Carrol's Creek Happy Hour starts at 5pm (Sunday-Thursday) and features some of the restaurant's best dishes. With savings of $4-7 per dish (relative to the main restaurant), you can feast on crab cakes, tuna tartare, BBQ shrimp, calamari, baked oysters and a number of other local specialties. What you don't get is seating on the water-side porch or in the main restaurant. HOW TO ACCESS: When you enter the restaurant, let the hostess know that you're here for Happy Hour and request a table in the bar area (to the left of the hostess stand). There is sure to be a crowd at the car and a number of tables already filled, but there's always been a 4-top when we've shown up. Staff is great and hard working - Tip them well!

Crab cake & house salad!

The views & ambiance are lovely here, but I was hoping the food would taste better. My family decided to dine at Carrol's Creek before I returned to the West coast. I wanted to eat somewhere close to home and on the water. There restaurant is nestled beautifully on the docks near downtown Annapolis. There is a parking lot out front, and the restaurant will validate the parking. Our waiter was fun, and made a few jokes at our table, so the service wasn't lacking. They honestly just dropped the ball with the food. We started off with the crab guacamole appetizer. Surprisingly, this was the best dish of the night. My mom order some crab dip, and it was extremely watery and lacked flavor. For dinner, I ordered a crab cake and a house salad with raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was actually sad. It had romaine lettuce, sunflower seeds, and cranberries. I would have loved for it to have some additional vegetables or croutons to jazz it up. I have had house salads that came with diced tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, etc. I was just hoping for a little more. The crab cake also missed the mark for me. It needed more old bay or something, just not what i'm use to. For my first time visiting Carrol's Creek, I was expecting more.

Better than expected really. Myself and two other girlfriends had hoped to sit outside, but it was packed and about a two hour wait; dissapointed but we settled for the dark somewhat dingey bar area. Our server and bartender was great and helpful. I had a Spirit Free Drink that was worth posting about because it was THAT good. a non-alcoholic Bourbon, tea type drink that was actually quite delicious. Don't judge me but I had a medium well burger, and it was peeerrrfectly cooked, and juicy, and the fries that came with weree on point. Service good. food and drink excellent. Seems I'd have to make reservations this time around to sit outside to enjoy the water view.

Surf and Turf!!!
Jeff R.

Dropped in last night in Annapolis MD. Restaurant was very nice and close to the water. Jay our server was very attentive and good. I ordered the surf and turf. It was good. Steak was ordered rare but was med rare. Lobster was good as well. I would recommend stopping in. Good choices on the menu. Really wish I got crab cakes but next time....

Cream of Crab soup

Carrols Creek never fail to deliver. The best cream of Crab soup in Abnapolis . The Herb encrusted Rockfish was perfect. Our Server Brandon gets an A+++. AND on the water, who could ask for more.

Ask the Community - Carrol's Creek Cafe

Is there mustard in the Crab cakes?

We do have yellow and Dijon mustard in our crabcakes.  Old Bay spice is also in there and I don't know if any mustard seed is in their mixture.  If you provide us with a few days advance notice, we would be happy to custom make as many crab cakes as…

Do you have any high top tables? My husband is disabled & unable to sit low.

Carrol's Creek does have a few high tables in our lounge. That area is normally on a first come basis but please contact one of our managers and they can see about arrangeing one for you. The number is 410-263-8102 and we hope to see you soon.

Can I dine outside seating with my dog?

Google says yes

Do you deliver?

I'm very sorry but we do not deliver or participate in any delivery service.

Is there parking specifically for restaurant patrons? If you park in the marina lot (sounds like Carrol's Creek Cafe will validate up to 2-2.5 hours) but stay longer after your meal than what the restaurant will validate, can you pay the difference?

There is a paid parking lot in front of the restaurant that is shared with a handful of other businesses. I believe they validate parking up to a certain point as well.

How's the food?

Wonderful everything I had was tasty

It has a little outdoor area with some seating which is good since this location is small and doesn't have a ton of indoor seating beyond the bartop. The arcade game selection of these three locations is in my opinion the weakest of the four locations. But the options are decent and provides a few hours of fun. There's also only one bar in this location as some of the others like Columbia and DC have two bars. However this location does offer a private karaoke option which is great since a private karaoke room is uncommon in that area. Which makes this location stand out. And with the other locations the drink menu is incredible though each location varies slightly. Like the shot o'clock wheel at Annapolis allows you to spin the wheel instead of the bartender spins it.

We had a really nice dinner here…read more We tried the mushroom appetizer and the old bay pierogies both were really good. The ribeye steak was fantastic and the sauce complimented it really well. For drinks we had the rum and gin. The gin drink was fruity and my favorite out of the two. The desserts I would give probably 3-ish stars. We had the almond cake and it didn't have much of a taste and the whip cream that came on the side must have been accidentally mixed with something that had processed onions because it had a really strong onion aftertaste. Full On Craft Eats. The Toast online ordering system was easy to navigate and adorned with pictures of every menu item. I could not get past the onion rings on the starter menu hoping they would taste as good as they looked. My friend offered to split the Slammin Salmon sandwich and onion rings since she has had it before and never finished the entire thing. I took her up on it and the order was placed. A quick ask for mom to grab it on the way home and the food made its way back quickly. WOW is all I can say. When you order food to go there is a level of expectation that it will not be as good as it is at the restaurant, especially fries and onion rings. But in this instance WOW. Talk about food that travels well. Fourteen minutes away and the food was still warm, the onion rings were so crisp, and the garlic and dill aioli and onion ring sauce were just right. The Slammin Salmon was served on ciabatta bread that was not too soft not too hard, with salmon cooked perfectly. The lemon dill aioli was a game changer so much that my friend's advice to order extra was well received and committed to memory. The onion rings lived up to the hype, cooked perfectly with a crust I cannot even explain. The kind you bite into without losing the entire onion from the breading. Dip it into the sauce and you have a match made in heaven. Half the sandwich was more than enough but the next day I would have loved some leftovers. Now for the extra razzle dazzle. I left to visit a friend in DC and sent him the menu, shared my experience and he was locked in to try. Online ordering was closed since they were closing at 10pm so I called as a last-ditch effort since the anticipation was already there. The nicest most warm individual answered ten minutes before closing and was more than happy to take my order. She even made sandwich recommendations. I quickly arrived at a shopping center that was easy to get in and out of. Walking in you immediately arrive at the counter and takeout area to your left with a nice bar area a short walk past on the right. The cooks and wait staff were having the best time using the 6/7 saying that was all over social media late last year. They were considerate when they noticed I was in the restaurant, but I assured them I loved their energy. I see why the food is so good because the energy shows it was made with great vibes and laughter all around. As I grabbed the bag to leave the hostess stopped me to add another fork and extra napkins since I would need them to add the pickled veggies on my sandwich. Such a nice touch. Thirty plus minutes to DC and the food still did not need to be reheated. The Mai Thai sandwich was a hit with flavors that married well and the onion rings delivered again. The Spicy Thai wings were good for wings but typical. They had a lot to compete with. I had dined here shortly after the restaurant opened and had mixed impressions then, but I must say there has been significant improvement. The service was excellent. Our waitress was pleasant, responsive, familiar with the menu, and able to answer everyone's questions. The atmosphere was festive yet relaxing, and the owners were present, greeting guests and checking on diners. The level of service was truly outstanding. The food was good overall, with one exception. Five of us ordered the oxtail pappardelle. Two plates had plenty of meat, while the other three had very little. Both vegetable dishes--Everything Green and the charred cauliflower steak--were delicious, and I would definitely order them again with my entrée. The grilled king prawns were well seasoned, but I would skip the beans and rice because they lacked seasoning. The drinks were enjoyable. We ended the meal with two orders of bread pudding for the table. It tasted very good, though the bread could have been more substantial because the texture was quite soggy.
