    Happy Hour Tacos

I've been here on three occasions. Overall it's a really good addition to the area. A few healthy yet flavorful options goes a long way This particular visit was Mt first lunch experience. I knew I wanted a salad and fhen I was talked I to the tacos. It was a decent list for a mini happy hour menu. I don't eat steak often. Between sharing 3 sides (including salad) and the tacos , I was surprised how quickly I got full. No particular star dish for me, but everything I have ordered food wise (minus the street corn) I have enjoyed. They also had a shareable for $15 mix and match from fries or salad with a sandwich of sorts option that wss also pretty tempting. Clean environment and a good amount of parking in the lot.

Wifey and I met friends here for dinner and this was a great experience! We started out with cocktails which were superbly prepared. Once the friends arrived, we were promptly seated and our server Malaina made everything perfect for the group, she was very attentive with excellent suggestions and made sure we had beverages during the entire dining experience. The location and parking were perfect, and the food was very good. I got the prime rib, and it was one of the best I have had in years! Wifey got the wood grilled salmon and ship which she loved! Highly recommend this establishment and we will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to check this restaurant out for a while, so what better way to do it than celebrating with my girls at our annual Friendsmas party! From the moment we arrived, the greeters were incredibly sweet and even complimented us on our outfits, which set the tone right away. Once most of our party arrived, we were seated in the back at a long table that comfortably accommodated everyone. The restaurant wasn't too crowded at first, but as more people started to flow in, it didn't stop us from having a great time and enjoying ourselves. Now let's talk ambiance. The restaurant itself was nice and appeared clean, however there were no tablecloths on the tables. When we received new silverware, it was placed directly on the bare table with no napkin, which was a bit off-putting. Aside from that, the space was well-kept. As for the food, drinks, and service: the service initially seemed fine, but it became clear that our waitress was overwhelmed. A few orders were forgotten, some checks were mixed up, and the biggest issue was when my card was accidentally charged for my friend's food--even though I handed her my check along with my card. Thankfully, it was only a $0.50 difference. The drinks were just okay. Another waitress even mentioned that the only drink she really recommended was the one with pineapple. I only had one drink, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't anything special either. Now to the food--because this is where things turned around. We started with the chimichurri shrimp, which was a 10/10. My friends enjoyed the steak and eggs, the deviled (angel) eggs were delicious to me (4/5), and the dip was a solid 3.5/5. By the time our entrées arrived, we were so full from the appetizers that most of us took our food home after just one bite. I had the Baja pasta with shrimp, which was a 10/10. Another pasta I tried with goat cheese wasn't good at all, but thankfully my dish made up for it. Most of my friends ordered the Chilean bass and said it was very good, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. We also had the chance to meet the chef, who was very nice and even brought our food out, which was a great personal touch. Overall, despite a few service hiccups, I would definitely go back. The food alone makes it worth another visit.

My mom and I just went to Firebirds yesterday for her birthday, and she had the best time! First of all, many know that this place is fairly new, and my goodnessss! The second you walk in, your eyes go straight to the bar as it is BEAUTIFUL. The way the bottles are arranged, the color section of the bar in totality, and just the stools surrounding it, it all completely makes sense. The staff is also great. Now the food, is also great. My mom and I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and my mom loved them - said she would return to order them alone, but for me - I didn't personally care for the thai chili sauce on the egg rolls. Why? Because if you actually go to Philly for a cheesesteak, they aren't going to have thai chili as a sauce topping lol. I don't think marking it as Philly specifically is correct. But were they good? Absolutely, not greasy or heavy either as I think that's the case for a lot of other restaurants/establishments. Their salads were good, dressing to lettuce ratio was good. And I'm not a crouton fan but I did enjoy them. My mom and I both shared their pick 2 option, 1 being the salad and the other being the chicken sandwich and the cheeseburger, all full of flavor. Firebird also has outside dining, so feel free to sit outside and watch the cars drive by on Riva! I think we'll be back here in the near future. Also forgot to mention earlier, their drinks too! Great.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were promptly greeted and taken to a booth. The dining room atmosphere is casual and there are bar and outdoor seating areas too, along with a few TV screens. Sorry no pics. We started with cocktails and the bacon deviled eggs. They were delicious and pretty filling with half a slice of thick bacon on top of each one and for an extra kick a jalapeno slice. For our entrees we went with the Chilean Seabass and Baby Back Ribs - full rack so I'd have more for later. Both very tasty and left us fully satisfied. Oh and a nice touch from the bartender - a fresh chilled glass was brought over for the martini when it was halfway finished. No room for dessert on this visit. Maybe next time.

Wonderful Easter Sunday brunch at Firebirds. Since it was a holiday, they opened earlier than the posted 11:00 (our reservation was for 10:30, so not sure what of their opening time today. Greeters were very welcoming and quickly found our reservation and wished us away to our seat. We did find it a bit odd that they sat us next to another family while the entire restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived as their second customers of the morning - but by no means did this take away from our experience. Our server was attentive and he ensured our drinks were always half full or more which we appreciated. We stuck to the brunch menu and can't wait to return for dinner one evening. As for the food: The deviled eggs were creamy and reminded me of the flavors of my grandmother's deviled eggs - no frills or unnecessary add-in's to the mixture, just great deviled eggs with a tasty garnish. Next time we will skip the biscuits. The biscuits were the let down of our meal, and were absolutely nothing to "write home about" for their cost. They were somewhat dry, but were warm and there was so much triple berry dipping sauce for only two (2) biscuits. The steak and egg bowl was absolutely delicious. The chimichurri seasoned steak was cooked perfectly as well as the poached. The creaminess of the poached egg mixed with the horseradish created the perfect sauce to dredge your roasted potatoes and mushrooms through. The hot honey chicken biscuit was excellent! I subbed the house potatoes out for cheesy grits and was pleasantly surprised at how good and hot they were. The hot honey sauce perfectly balanced heat and sweet (unlike others in the area) so that you could enjoy the entire sandwich without the heat building in your mouth. Can't wait to return!

The server for my table is tied up with another customer and one of her fellow server stepped in to ensure that we were served quickly which to me says they have really good teamwork and that makes a big difference for the customers. In any case our order was placed quickly and the staff was very friendly and courteous. The bar was well stocked and you have your TVs playing sports so it's akin to most nice steakhouses you might go to. The food was absolutely phenomenal and I was so happy to finally get a really good quality steak. The slow roasted prime rib looked rare but it wasn't bleeding and was remarkably tender and flavorful. The accompanying sauces just punched up the flavor but I really only use them when eating cuts from the center where you get less of the rub. And trust me they could sell that rub as a seasoning at local grocery stores. Very good! The roasted carrots were tender and savory. My partner got the salmon and I had a taste which was good. I wouldn't trade it for that prime rib though, lol! The closest thing to a negative I would say is that the cider slaw could probably use some craisins or another sweet but acidic addition. Great place for a date night or a birthday celebration and I would definitely go again.

A well lighted sports bar atmosphere with good service, a good wine list, lots of free parking. The wait for 7 people was far beyond the reservation. The three course dinner is a pretty good deal the Salmon and Shrimp was just slightly over cooked.

My son and his best friend took us here for Mother's Day. It was a surprise trip! The atmosphere was calm but lively. The food was really good! I was so full though, that I had to save my entree for another day (it was just as tasty). Our server was kind. I would go again, but I would probably look for a closer location as this one was in Annapolis, MD -- pretty far from the Columbia area.

Absolutely loved our time at Firebirds! The entire staff were friendly and engaged. You know a restaurant is going to be when the staff enjoy working there. We started with the lobster queso spinach dip which was delicious and for our main courses we had the seasonal firebird chicken (amazing) and the salmon, which my wife raved about. The interior was a little louder than we like and it was a bit warm inside. Of course, it was super hot outside that day. The restaurant is good for groups or just for two. There is outside seating, though I will wait until the weather cools down before sitting there. Overall, a great experience.

I was told, "it's good, you have to check it out". So I did, and the service from entry to departure was great and that truly made the difference. The food...not impressive, now don't record they are known for steak and we didn't touch the steak, but we tried a lot of everything else and nothing made us say wow! And we were hungry and you know when you're hungry everything taste good...no great...this was not the case. On this one eve we stayed away from the drinks but I have a feeling that's a sweet spot for them so will go back and sit at the bar. For now I'm not going back until it's time for happy hour. Overall nice looking place, crowded, the outdoor patio is small but a good place to sit especially if it's a cool night.

Firebirds is one of my favorite restaurants. So happy this one in Annapolis recently opened. The food doesn't disappoint and service is top tier. For dinner, I typically order from the three course menu. This first course is a soup or salad. I enjoy the chicken tortilla soup. The second course options are sirloin, salmon and shrimp or wood grilled chicken. The third course is the dessert course. I usually select the seasonal bread pudding. There are other tasty dessert options. The drinks are amazing.

Full On Craft Eats. The Toast online ordering system was easy to navigate and adorned with pictures of every menu item. I could not get past the onion rings on the starter menu hoping they would taste as good as they looked. My friend offered to split the Slammin Salmon sandwich and onion rings since she has had it before and never finished the entire thing. I took her up on it and the order was placed. A quick ask for mom to grab it on the way home and the food made its way back quickly. WOW is all I can say. When you order food to go there is a level of expectation that it will not be as good as it is at the restaurant, especially fries and onion rings. But in this instance WOW. Talk about food that travels well. Fourteen minutes away and the food was still warm, the onion rings were so crisp, and the garlic and dill aioli and onion ring sauce were just right. The Slammin Salmon was served on ciabatta bread that was not too soft not too hard, with salmon cooked perfectly. The lemon dill aioli was a game changer so much that my friend's advice to order extra was well received and committed to memory. The onion rings lived up to the hype, cooked perfectly with a crust I cannot even explain. The kind you bite into without losing the entire onion from the breading. Dip it into the sauce and you have a match made in heaven. Half the sandwich was more than enough but the next day I would have loved some leftovers. Now for the extra razzle dazzle. I left to visit a friend in DC and sent him the menu, shared my experience and he was locked in to try. Online ordering was closed since they were closing at 10pm so I called as a last-ditch effort since the anticipation was already there. The nicest most warm individual answered ten minutes before closing and was more than happy to take my order. She even made sandwich recommendations. I quickly arrived at a shopping center that was easy to get in and out of. Walking in you immediately arrive at the counter and takeout area to your left with a nice bar area a short walk past on the right. The cooks and wait staff were having the best time using the 6/7 saying that was all over social media late last year. They were considerate when they noticed I was in the restaurant, but I assured them I loved their energy. I see why the food is so good because the energy shows it was made with great vibes and laughter all around. As I grabbed the bag to leave the hostess stopped me to add another fork and extra napkins since I would need them to add the pickled veggies on my sandwich. Such a nice touch. Thirty plus minutes to DC and the food still did not need to be reheated. The Mai Thai sandwich was a hit with flavors that married well and the onion rings delivered again. The Spicy Thai wings were good for wings but typical. They had a lot to compete with. We ordered a bottle of red wine to share and we were asked if we wanted a decanter to which we replied yes. He poured it in at our table with an aerator. For food, I ordered the City Dock Pizza and my friend ordered the Beef Bolognese. The City Dock Pizza was good - thinner crust but plenty of flavor. The Beef Bolognese was a lighter colored sauce than I anticipated. The pasta was good and the sauce was also good but not what I would consider a traditional Bolognese. We had a really nice dinner here…read more We tried the mushroom appetizer and the old bay pierogies both were really good. The ribeye steak was fantastic and the sauce complimented it really well. For drinks we had the rum and gin. The gin drink was fruity and my favorite out of the two. The desserts I would give probably 3-ish stars. We had the almond cake and it didn't have much of a taste and the whip cream that came on the side must have been accidentally mixed with something that had processed onions because it had a really strong onion aftertaste. Our waiter was really nice and gave really good recommendations. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back to try out their lunch

Bright and open inside with friendly service. We ordered a handful of mimosas and got a couple of small bites to share. Sourdough Foccaccia - this was pretty good, warm and toasted. Pork Bites - I loved the flavor but thought this was pork belly and not ground pork. Overall, flavor was good but the texture wasn't great. Crispy Kale - this is very popular here and we really enjoyed it. The cumin yogurt really brought it together. Pickled Squid - Not what we expected but I actually really liked this dish. We did also order the Coconut Panna Cotta for dessert. The raspberry was pretty prominent here and wasn't as custard like as expected, just a little too soft but the flavor otherwise wasn't bad. Overall, everything was pretty good and I would visit again to try other items on their menu.

GET THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS…read more We also got the lamb chops, which were fabulous, and the charcuterie, which was good, but the Brussels sprouts had the right amount of sweet, salty, crunch, and kick. Get the Brussels sprouts. This is a really nice restaurant in downtown Annapolis. The portions are nice. The servers are friendly. My husband and the people next to us said their cocktails were also good and unique. We're definitely going again. It was 15 degrees outside and I got some hot tea, but soon enough, when the food got there, it was my main focus.

On our most recent visit, we ordered the charcuterie board, pork belly, short ribs, and steamed mussels. The charcuterie board is always nice, and the food overall was very good. The pork belly and short ribs gave the meal some richer, heavier flavors, while the mussels helped round things out. The only downside this time was the service. Normally service here is good, but our waiter was really slow during this visit. It was also louder than usual, possibly because of a party or larger group nearby. That is not usually our experience here, so I'd treat it more as an off night than a reason not to return. Still a good spot, and we'll go back.

Everything tasted great for the most part. Service was great as well. The outdoor buffet cookout was $20 tickets were purchased on eventbrite. They also had holiday drink specials at $2.49 which was a good deal. They also sold smoked oysters at $1.00 each & the server and bartender was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed this event. We would like to go back and check out the other drinks on the menu as well as the food. Definitely bookmarked this spot for a return visit. There is a parking garage about three blocks away. We paid $12.00 for about three hours. Not bad at all.

All housed in the historic Capital Hotel, newly renovated in November of 2022. The atmosphere here is immaculate. It is a must see when enjoying the sights of Annapolis. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon after touring the State House. We each ordered the Monkey Smoke (Penicillin), and she ordered a small plate with avocado and lump crabmeat, which we ordered just in time as the kitchen closed between 3 and 4. The standout of the day for me was the old fashioned, made with plum bitters. One of the best old fashioneds I've ever had. The servers were all very friendly and quick. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town, and definitely recommend this to others.
