From the moment I was seated salsa and chips arrived followed by a drink order. I recommend the queso with beef. It was great! Warm tortillas too! Sheesh this place rocks. Even though we arrived at 6 pm we were quickly seated in a comfortable booth that we requested. The table was sticky but the restaurant looked clean otherwise. We were served hot chips that were crunchy but rather delicate so they didn't hold up to a good dip of salsa. The salsa was excellent- not too spicy. We ordered house dressing to dip chips into, also. Towards the end of the basket it was mostly crumbs. Our server brought extra salsa, but did not refresh the basket of chips. Our server was attentive and quickly took our order. While waiting, she brought complimentary piping hot flour tortillas that are made on premises. One can even watch as they are cooking. The only downside is they are served with liquid margarine instead of butter. Before we filled up on chips, our food was served. I ordered chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce which were just average. I prefer the chicken to be more shredded with more spices. The sour cream sauce was minimal. The enchiladas were plain to me. Refried Beans and rice were served with the enchiladas. This entree was plentiful! My date ordered one cheese and one one beef enchilada with chili on top. His food was much tastier. Perfectly seasoned and plentiful! After our meal we were offered complimentary piping hot sopapillas. I prefer mine well done so our server cooked ours herself. I've been eating here for nearly 25 years, and never have I been disappointed, until yesterday. I placed a To-Go order consisting of Chips, salsa, a bowl of WHITE queso, and two cheese enchiladas with ranchero sauce, no refried beans, double rice. When I got home, NOTHING was correct. The enchiladas were smothered in nasty yellow queso, they gave me REFRIED BEANS, and a single order of rice. They didn't give me the separate order of white queso that I paid for. The salsa, that I normally LOVE, was disgusting. It has a really strong bell pepper taste. The only thing in the entire order that was edible was the chips. If the waitress can't get the orders right when they enter your orders, then why aren't they writing them down? I tried reaching out to the manager...I left a voicemail for them, but they have not responded, and it's now 24 hours later. I am so disgusted and angry that they wasted my hard earned money and don't even have the common courtesy to respond. I will NOT be back, and that makes me incredibly sad. read more

From the arrival to the finish it was a less than festive experience. The entry needs some love or at least some power washing and The hostesses out front acted like we were a bother - No smile, no welcome. Watered down margaritas but - salsa and chips were good. We ordered queso and guacamole it was good but we had to ask for small plates. The beef in the taco I had was not good. Black beans and lime rice was good. My dad said his chicken was good. But man, 2 chicken enchiladas with double rice and topped with queso is something i could for real live off of for the rest of my life if i had to. Seriously delicious, only good things to say about Posados. However, the Bossier location is always better than the Shreveport one in my opinion, not sure why but it's just a known fact at this point. We had a party of seven. This disaster started with bland tasteless salsa that appeared to be straight diced tomatoes. It never got better from there. We ordered our food and waited 45 minutes for my wife's food to come out in a to go box. We waited another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. I had the shrimp tacos. They were totally over the top with citrus. I could not eat them. My wife did not like her casadilla. She said it tasted weird like It was old or spoiled. She ended up sick last night. We are sure it was from the casadilla. On the positive side the beef burrito that I ordered after I returned the Pledge tasting tacos was pretty good. The manager and waitress were very good. Just not good enough to compensate for tacos that tasted like lemon furniture polish or food poisoning from casadillas. read more

We stopped by Posados on a Thursday night at 9pm. They close at 10pm. There were very few patrons in the restaurant - a couple guys at the bar, and ONE other table with 3 people. We ordered our drinks (two Teas and a Coke) and waited to place our order. I asked the waitress what kind of cheese they put in their cheese enchiladas - she didn't know, said she would have to ask. By the time she finally came back, she had forgotten to ask - so I erred on the side of caution, and ordered the tacos. My son ordered quesadillas and my husband had a combination plate. We finally received our food at 9:36pm. My husband's food was cold to the touch. The fajitas - cold. The cheese enchilada - cold and solid (see picture). We were never offered any tortillas - in fact, it looked as if the tortilla machine had been shut down for the night. When we asked about sopapillas , we were told that they would have to be cooked. Well, duh! Don't they always? But apparently, since it was so close to closing, that was not an option either. Also, the ice cream machine was emptied and turned off as well. Restaurant was very cold (it was cold outside) and bathrooms were near freezing. I do LOVE their chips, but we received shards and crumbs (bottom of the barrel, I guess). I really like the location and ate here before my son was born. He is 17 now. Anyway, the Mexican butter still steals the show. I have never found another place that serves Mexican butter with the fajitas and when they do it had no flavor. Pasados has a one of a kind approach with that. I have to say the chips were warm but a little stale and the second fill up of salsa lacked flavor almost like there was more water added. The fajitas were good and normal lunch portion but the rice and beans had a flavor that I wasn't digging. I am not bashing this institution because I like them to begin with. They do need a refresh of things now tired and work on some of the food taste and freshness but it's still a good reasonable eating spot. Good luck. read more

They brought 10 tortillas to the table for 7 pieces of fajita meat. I guess I am used to the Mexican food restaurants in Houston. Always take some with me for breakfast. We had been looking all over Shreveport for great Mexican food. We found it today at Posados! While $28.99 is still a bit steep for chicken fajitas, they were delicious and the servings were huge. The salsa and queso were delicious. In all its very similar to Superior Grill. However the wait staff here was better and I will definitely be returning. read more

I use to love this place, but it's gotten sorely rundown since I first started going there 18 years ago. We were driving back from a small family get together in Woodville, TX, on the way home to El Dorado, and we decided to stop and grab dinner, because pretty much when you get east of Shreveport, there is absolutely NOTHING between here and home. It's was 7:15pm, and there was no waiting....I guess that should've been our first clue. We were seated immediately, which was nice. Our waitress was pleasant and got all of our orders correct, and the food was brought out in a timely manner. The food was yucky. Th charra beans were EXTREMELY salty and the cilantro lime rice was sour tasting....more like the lime, less like the cilantro. My husband and I split a plate....tamales. They were also pretty salty. I've had far better tamales. We thought about saying something to the manager, but when we saw him standing over the tortilla station, coughing over the tortillas that were being handmade, we figured he would care one way or another. The meal, to us, was subpar....but when we were wrapping my up, my dad, my son and myself went to the restroom, as we were about to get back in the car for two more hours. The bathroom was awful. The toilet seat in the stall I chose was loose and half hanging off the bowl. There was a nasty urine smell coming from the toilets, and there was wet water all over the floor in the toilets area. The trash can was overflowing onto the floor and there was no hand soap in the dispensers. My dad and my son said the men's room was pretty bad as well....trash overflowing and a heavy urine smell also. Me personally, I can't stand public restrooms and a restaurant restroom needs to be spic and span all the time, because there are folks clean and unclean using these them, which means germs like crazy....and strong urine smells. Needless to say, we won't be going back anymore. We've given this place plenty of time in the last 18 years....not an longer. It's not worth it! There are a total of three locations in Shreveport.....I've been to all three and none of them live up to the name it had built for its self. read more

Wow, we LOVE Posado's. Granted we've only been to the one in Shreveport(on Bert Koon's). I did hear a lot of people say that the one is Bossier was NOT good. Anyways. The one in Shreveport is a favorite of ours. Their fajita tacos are some of the best tacos that I've EVER had! I also LOVE that everyone seated at the table get's their own bowl of salsa. Posados Bossier used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants but they've consistently disappointed us for the past year and a half. They've jacked up their prices and skimp on quantity of food. I was only in the area for about a week and I came here twice with my coworkers after rough days at work! We had one delightful and friendly waitress the first time and we had to come back to see her again because she was FANTASTIC and totally made our nights! She made sure we always had chips and salsa and drinks filled up. I told her I was a vegetarian and she recommended that I order the vegetable fajitas even though they are not listed on the menu AND DANG they did not disappoint!! I highly recommend getting the veggie fajitas even if you're a carnivore! Good size and lots of veggies including carrots, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, squash which made the plate very colorful and flavorful. It comes with melted butter mixed with some spices which I did not really care for, HOWEVER, I may have been the odd one out because my coworkers believed that the butter was the best part. Oh well, to each his own, right? We also decided to get sopapillas but I was not very impressed with this dessert. Mine was still a little raw in the middle which was kind of disheartening since out waitress hyped it up, lol. Don't forget to eat it with some syrup/honey that's already located on the table!!! Our waitress was the best (I am reiterating this again for emphasis!!!) First off, I'm from Texas so I wasn't sure about Mexican food in LO.... but this place was bomb!!! We got the fajitas for two (combo) and strawberry margarita and ooof. The meat was tender and not chewy. It came with this garlic sauce and omg.... so good. The veggies were cooked perfect. The CHIPS. So delicate and warm. The salsa was A+. A little sweet but also spicy?? It was great. We asked to be sat outside on a Friday night, and even though we were the only ones out there our server was SO fast and super nice.
