But…read morethis time I needed a hairdresser, mine that I had for many years, decided to go into another business. I wear a non common hair color called Light Plum that is only available at Sally's. Before making my appointment, I went in person to the salon & spoke to the owner, showed him what I wanted & he called Yadria, one of the colorist/ stylist & asked her if she can do my hair, she said yes! I came prepared with the box of the hair color tube that has the brand's name, name of color & color #. Told her that I get it from Sally's, she said yes, so I proceeded to make an appointment for the following week, giving her time to purchase the color. My appointment date came, & was greeted by receptionist & Cary that was waiting for me, she did my nails first & as always, I was very pleased with her work! Then went to Yandra that after greeting me told me that she went to Sally's near her, but they didn't have the color. Instead, she purchased another brand & different color from the hair supply next door on the same day that I was scheduled, she told me that later on. She gave an option; wait for her to get the color or take a chance with the one that she purchased. I had lots of gray showing, & by looking at the hair color box, it kind of resembled to mine. The procedure started, just by looking at the color I knew it was NOT similar to my color at all, she told to wait until the process is completed & my hair is washed. Another lady washed my hair & when I went I looked in the mirror I knew that was NOT what I wanted, it turned out way to light, plus part of my gray wasn't covered! I expressed my dissatisfaction & a coworker came to me with the hair color chart, she showed me several colors & pointed to one that she thought will resembled to my color. At this point, I was very upset, couldn't stay with the color that Yandra applied, so once more I agreed to have a 2nd color put on my hair. While Yandra was putting the color I noticed shades of red, I definitely didn't want that , I have been wearing red for a long time. My hair was washed & blow dried a bit, & I realized that again, it WAS NOT my color & NOT what I wanted, I previously shower a pic of my hair right after colored. I also told her that I needed a trim, she hardly cut any hair & apologized saying that she's not confortable working with brands that she doesn't know. I just let her blow dry my hair, I just wanted lo leave! I went to pay my bill, for Cary was the usual & left a $10.00 tip that receptionist promised to give to her tomorrow. My bill for the color fiasco was $115.00, my hair is short & very thin. I left her a$20.09 tip anyway & $5.00 for the girl that washed my hair, then I waked out almost in tears. Needles to say that I won't be coming back. I felt kind of disrespected, I was a new customer, Yandra could have been more attentive to my request in order to satisfy me by purchasing the right color! If the Sally's that she went didn't have the color, there are plenty of Sally's that she could have gone, even easier, order the color from the store she went, but apparently she didn't take the time to do so for her new customer. There, Sandra, the nail tech proceeded with my manicure, trying to upsell me the Russian manicure, which I denied. She cut my finger during the cuticle removal. I asked for shiny buff, no color on nails. When I checked out, she told the receptionist to charge me $35. It's disturbing how a salon smack in the middle of coral gables does not adhere to its advertised prices and instead makes prices for their services after the service has been rendered, without any explanation.

Last week, I had my birthday brow appointment and asked her if the salon also did blow outs. She replied, of course so off I went to just get glam in the same place. I believe Jaime was my stylist and I loved him. My hair is on the thinner side, but the way he did my hair looked so great that I am considering adding it to my monthly rotation. The price for a blow out is great too at $50 and it is better quality than one of those chain blow dry bars. The salon is super clean and everyone has always been so friendly when I have visited. Parking nearby is usually pretty easy, as its street parking.

I called them when I realized my mistake and they said come in anyway. She claimed no time for highlights, but I guess wanted to make money of some sort so instead of rescheduling, she did roots (made them red) and put a toner on my hair (which washed out!) Why not wait and do it right then? I should have NEVER been told to come on in. So instead of highlights, we decided to try to fix the yellow hair and she wanted to do color on my roots claiming she could tone down the red. Within one week, bright red roots and bright yellow hair- worse than before I came in. I even showed her a photo AND told her NO red and I wanted white blonde. After spending almost $200 - and no I didn't tip the owner.... in the sun my roots were on fire - bright red when I specifically said NO RED and the rest my blonde hair was back to being yellow.. When the leaving the salor the temporary toner had worked - TEMPORARILY! She didn't color correct, but rather put a temporary toner that washed out (I could have done that myself for $20.00) and I could have made my own roots bright red for about $10.00. For me a total waste of my money. She claims if I had just done highlights the red and yellow would have been handled. So why tell me to come in??? Unfortunately, I don't trust her, so I won't be going back. Basically spent almost $200 and a week later worse than what I came in with. I never did my own hair, only touched up roots. Sadly, I could have given myself red roots and kept my yellow hair.- which was given to me by a great hairdresser, who did a beautiful job for about 4 years and then one day, being too busy, he made it all yellow. Anyway, I've had great hairdressers, but this was not one of them. She is probably best for brown hair not blonde on non-latinas. For me a total waste of money. I did have a much better experience with the Miami beauty school. They matched my roots perfectly to my hair. No need to spend hundreds of dollars on hairdressers.

My haircut, blow dry and ironwork was flawless. I found my new salon and it's so close to my home. Can't wait to come back again for my next night out. Parking is easier to find in the mall and if it's raining like it rains in Miami, they will provide a head cap for an umbrella so that you don't get wet. Luckily I left when they had stopped raining. And overall, it is a great price for wonderful service .

The result was too much weight and bulk where she cut the facial layers. Although I brought Ruby the Aveda color formula from my prior out-of-state salon, she was confident in her 30 years experience and decided to mix a color. Unfortunately her hair color was brassy and red. I called Ruby asking if she could please fix the color. She said that more color would not work now. I needed to wait until my next root touch up. I tried but could not tolerate the brassy color. I took matters into my own hands and bought a permanent color and 10 volume lift. I mixed it and let the color deposit for 10 minutes in the most visible front part of my hair. The color is now a pretty light blond. I am a software engineer without any beauty training. Ruby's before and my after color is shown. I would not recommend Ruby for blond hair color or a cut.
