After hearing about my dissatisfaction, the manager kindly got back to me and offered to get my hair redone. I was kind of hesitant to go back since I was worried that (1) they would make it worse instead of better, which I have heard horror stories about other hair places and (2) that I might be met with a cold attitude because of an honest review. I am happy to say that those worries were completely unnecessary. I was greeted with a smile at the door despite being 15 minutes late because of getting out of work late. Palma did my hair this time. She explained why certain colors may not work with my hair, even if they might have in the past. She showed me some swatches of colors so that we were both on the same page. She told me what she would try to do and what she could work with at this point. The whole process (more lightening, adding color, etc) took over 4 hours. It felt like it went by fairly quickly because Palma was very friendly and easy to talk to. I believe she was supposed to have left at 6, but my appointment went on until well after 7. Despite that, I didn't feel rushed at all. Palma made sure that I was comfortable and kept checking on me while I was waiting for the processes to finish. She offered to trim the ends of my hair after because of what lightening hair does, but I think we both forgot about it since we finished pretty late. I was just happy for her to offer and I love my purple hair! (Palma wanted to be sure how I felt about it too and told me to be honest. I honestly love it.) I'm probably going to let my hair heal for a bit or maybe let it go blonde for a while. Posh uses Aveda products, but I'm thinking of exploring other brands for coloring. If something else works better for coloring, then I'd come back for a cut or to get my brows done. They have tons of great brow reviews, so there's probably a reason for that. read more

Wow! So happy I stopped in to this great little find, right on Main. Thought it was just a day spa kind of place but it's also a very classy boutique filled with the most lovely clothes! Simple, beautiful, elegant fashions , many of Italian design, great style, gorgeous flowing silks and just really different from most American designs that tend to be trendy, poorly made, unflattering. Now here's the best part... the prices were very reasonable, quite affordable for a moderate budget. Ask for Jasmin (I think that was her name)she was friendly, charming & helpful. I've been getting my hair and eyebrows done at Posh for almost a year. Ada does my eyebrows and is a true perfectionist. I only have to go every two months and they have grown so much from years of waxing. Yesterday I got my hair done by Kelsey. I always see her but I keep forgetting to rave about how my hair comes out. I'm pretty basic with my color and stick to bayalage. I show her some pictures and let her take charge. Every time she does my hair I get so many compliments that even my friends who don't live local are starting to drive to see her. All of her pictures on Instagram don't even do it justice as to how talented she is. From start to finish the service, ambiance and finished product are all top notch. I always feel like a queen when getting my hair done between the mimosas, cappuccinos and snacks being served. I also love their chairs at the sink because they recline and massage, so your neck doesn't hurt like most salons. Not to mention they have a great selection of headbands. One of my favorite things is that they use aveda which is natural and smells amazing. I love going to Posh and then exploring the quaint village of Northport. First off, thanks to Posh, my eyebrows always look great! It is amazing to me how much having beautifully trimmed eyebrows enhances how I look and how I feel about myself. I have been going to Posh for many years and both Jasmine and Ada do an excellent job. I recently decided to try microblading and I am SO glad I did!! The process was super-relaxing and I LOVE how my eyebrows look good - morning, noon and night. Second, I want to say how uplifting a visit to the salon is. This shop has so much potential ..but management is MONEY driven NOT customer driven. Services are ok. But I'd rather drive somewhere else to pay $20-25 for threading rather than be met with with attitude and disregard. The owner is short sighted and dollar driven. Customer beware. No kindness here. Ada and jasmine do amazing eyebrows! I really needed mine shaped after letting them grow out for a while to get more thickness and change the shape from a bad waxing job. The staff is very nice and they communicate with you very well. The esthetician explained proper treatments for my skin and told me what she recommends. She also asked many questions on how my skin reacts and what treatments I've had before. Very knowledgeable and informative! The location is soon opening a block down with blow outs which I can't wait to try. I know many people that go here and also recommend an appointment. read more

Just came back from Spa Posh after getting my hair done by Morgan and all I can say is WOW! I got a cut, color and blow out. My hair looks amazing. The color is rich (it's a beautiful chocolate brown) and very high quality. My hair looks shiny and feels incredibly healthy! The cut is beautiful and the blow out is amazing. All the ladies who work here are wonderful and so kind. The espresso during my treatment was great too! Spa Posh has really become my go to place for all of my beauty needs. I will never go anywhere else! Ladies, if your looking for a place, I highly recommend Spa Posh. 5/14/16 - The hairstylist was very nice. She wanted to cut my hair dry because it is curly and wavy. Then she washed it and left it wet. Then I paid and waited for my hair to dry to see the results. Hours later I saw it was uneven like a city skyline, and the layers were not gradual. I wish she cut it wet. The cut looks like it has potential. I will stop by tomorrow to see if someone could fix it. Hopefully! 5/17/16 - Another hairstylist did a fantastic job. I love the cut now. It is more gradual and even. She blew it out, so I don't know what it looks like curly. It doesn't matter. I am happy. TIP: I love that they offer mimosas, water, and coffee. read more

Had a horrible experience getting a waxing. First I canceled my brow tint cuz they lady was so rude and made a face when I said my brows were perfect in response to her selling me on threading THEN when we started my waxing I could tell the wax wasn't hot enough when first applied. She pulled at edges of the wax over and over trying to life it, giving me an excruciating pain, when I told her I wasn't comfortable she told me it was just me and my pain tolerance because all her clients have no problem and continued to pull on the wax giving me horrible pain. I've been getting waxed for 10 years and have never experienced this level of discomfort. She didn't even tighten the skin to prevent pain. I had to stop her mid way and book an appointment at U2 nail and spa which never disappoints. Upon stopping the experience she didn't even take all the wax off of me !! I arrived to U2 with the hardened wax still on me!! So gross. Also when asking for information about the wax product posh uses, she tried to tell me everyone uses the same wax !!! So not true.... when I asked what the wax was so I could avoid it like the plague. She didn't even know... So unprofessional and to leave the wax on me when I left was gross. I'm never going back there, they are horrible and tried to say that it was because of my pain tolerance even tho I'm typing this right now totally fine while U2 waxes me LOL I am told now by This amazing technician here at U2 that the technician (if u can even call her that) at Posh used too much wax and that they need to use just a little at a time. I reccomend U2 they are amazing and make the experience so pleasant knowing this type of skin is soooo sensitive! Still not convinced the woman at posh is even credible. Don't go here for waxing. They are pretty but rude, messy and unnecessarily painful. read more

I went to Posh today to get my eyebrows done and hair blown out. Teddy did my blow out and put a gloss in my hair and did an incredible job. She was kind and professional and gave me one of the best blow outs I have had in a long time. I got my eyebrows threaded by Annie and she did an amazing job as well. Overpriced, but I had been going there for years until I needed to make a cancellation and was told I had cancelled in the past and "if i cancel they dont make money" because they work on commission. I started coming to Posh almost 7 years ago because I heard Jasmine was the best at eyebrows. And yes she is. I was so happy for her when she decided to expand to a beautiful new spa that owned its name and more. The service is amazing from start to finish but my unexpected favorite part is Nicolette whom I met by accident. It is no accident that I go to her now. She is a color genius. Jasmine is a true artist. My eyebrows have never looked so good. She offers both waxing and threading, but I am never going back to waxing. Threading is better for your skin and Jasmine does an amazing job. Her salon is on Main Street in downtown Northport, you couldn't ask for a better location. I am a busy Mom of 2 with another one on the way and my half hour at Jasmine's is like a mini vacation. Aside from great work the salon is a friendly and warm environment. In all my years of waxing I've learned it is truly a challenge to: (A) find someone who truly knows how to do waxing technique properly, (B) have this talent locally, and (C) enjoy the experience of a proprietor who actually cares about her client experience. Disappointed in service. Went to have my eyebrows shaped, was given the choice of waxing or threading. Picked threading. It was unusually painful, my prior experiences with threading elsewhere had been completely painless. But the real pain started when she stopped threading and got out her twizzers. I tried to signal that i am in pain, but all the lady did was to say Sorry! Every time then proceeded just the same. No attempt to reduce the pain by, say, holding the skin down while plucking hairs with the other. Just "sorry". This is no "posh" treatment. Not going back. read more

If I could give 1,000 stars I would. I can't even begin to express my feelings for my new favorite place... posh! I've been coming to get my eye brows done by Ada and Jasmine for months now. They are both amazing!!! They know exactly what looks good for your face structure. I get them threaded and tinted. I recently went in to get my hair ugly orange brassy hair fixed. Franca, aka hair goddness, knew exactly what to do. She darkened back to my original color and painted blonde back in (semi balayage). She made my hair dreams come true. I am a very picky blonde ( I'm sure I was a bit annoying haha) and she nailed it 100%. I can't say enough about Franca!! Plus, the salon is chic, beautiful, comfortable and fun! I went to Posh for the first time recently to get my hair colored and cut. I had an appointment with Palma for coloring and she ended up cutting my hair as well. She did an amazing job honing in on what I wanted-- she reviewed a ton of color swatches and pictures with me and was a lot of fun to talk to throughout the process. The end result was so much better than I could have imagined!! I have gotten a TON of compliments, especially about the color and how healthy it looks. Someone even creepily took a picture of my hair when they thought I wasn't looking (thanks stranger!). Because I initially made an apt for a cut with a junior stylist, it did end up being slightly more expensive-- but I also received a complementary blow-dry and the cut is absolutely beautiful. Aside from the stellar staff, the salon has massage chairs at their hair-washing station which recline and they offer you espresso, champagne, etc. when you first get there. Bottom line, I had a great experience at Posh and I am really excited to go back! read more

I've witnessed her belittling her front desk employee on several occasions, but I never thought she'd be capable of humiliating customers in front of other customers. I should have known better. Posh offers THE BEST eyebrow threading ANYWHERE, and the best blow outs anywhere for a reasonable price, and with the best staff you will ever find, 7 days a week. I have lived in Northport Village for 5 and a half years, and I always liked it, but Posh gave me a reason to love it. Not kidding, Posh is one to the top 3 reasons I live here these days, and if you think that's a ridiculous statement then clearly you have not given them a try. I am so thankful I live close to the eyebrow queen (believe me, I tried them all, Jasmine is AMAZING, and so is Ada) and her blow out fairies. I would not go anywhere else for these services, and even if I moved to the moon I would make sure I came back to Northport just to have them done here (and it would be worth the trip).
