Posh Pastries is by far our favorite bakery! You name it, everything from filled cupcakes to wedding cakes and delicious breads and pies!! We have used them for 2 very large events with over 300 guests each time and received raves from everyone who attended. The owner Hilary is fun and so knowledgeable and helpful! She truly is an artist. We have been amazed at all of her creations! Just writing this is making my mouth water for some of her banana bread or pumpkin with cream cheese bread! I ordered a birthday cake 48 hours in advance (as required by the store). Went in to pick it up and to my surprise there was no cake. Nada. Apparently they lost my order or something. I was very upset. She told me to come and get a cake the next day...well the birthday party was in an hour, not the next day. Had to do a last minute run to Safeway to get a cake. I was planing on ordering more cakes from them for upcoming birthdays but after that it is not gonna happen. Disappointing. Ok product but bad customer service. read more

I needed to order a cake for my 40th birthday party. I was reluctant to do anything and I wasn't even sure in the cake. I knew I wanted fall flavors and to me that is spice and almond. Owner suggested spice cake w almond flavored icing. I wanted no decorations but she listening to me and suggested chocolate horse shoes. I eventually asked to write "celebrate" in orange across top. I love, love, love Posh. I can't go in too often because I buy/eat too much. My staff is always happy when I bring in their cupcakes. My favorite is carrot cake with Carmel in the middle. Always very moist and not too sweet. Every holiday I order a quiche. Absolutely the best quiche I have ever eaten. read more

I went to this bakery on a suggestion of a friend two years ago for my brothers birthday cake. He loves wedding cake so I thought it would be great to order a white wedding cake with buttercream frosting. I was so excited to present this cake to my brother but upon my family all trying the cake..we could not eat it! The cake tasted like flour, I could not taste any sweetness to it and the frosting was bland and did nothing to help out the horrible cake. I do not know what happened to this cake but I have never been back to Posh Pastries..I would have been better off with a Costco cake...I paid $50 for a cake we threw away...so disappointed!! read more

This us the second time we ordered from posh pastries. The first time was thanksgiving where we ordered a triple berry, apple blackberry, and caramel apple pies. The triple berry and apple blackberry were delicious! The caramel apple was not fully cooked: very crispy apples and doughy center. Fast forward to recently and we decided to drop by early the morning before Easter to get some pies. The only options for Easter available that we liked would have been the carmel apple pies. We figured we would give them a shot again...maybe it was a fluke the caramel apple pie was not cooked all the way. Anyways- long story short these caramel apple pies were also not fully cooked!! So this time we called the bakery and asked for a call back regarding the pies. We had to leave messages twice....AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK!!!! The cupcakes were so-so. They are filled with a Twinkie-like cream that just took up cake space. It wasn't the most moist cupcake but the cream cheese icing was decent. I'd say they are on par with Happy Cakes in the Highlands. read more

Tried this bakery about three weeks ago. Really wanted to like it. Filllings in the cream horns had a greasy flavor as if lard was an ingredient rather than butter. The puff pastry in the cream horns and napoleons had very little flavor--tasted flat and old or stale. Will give them another chance in a few months but at this point it's a definite thumbs down. I was surprised to see they were named as one of the top five bakeries. What a disappointment! read more

Hillary made our wedding cake based on a picture we supplied to her for 75 people. It looked just like the picture except prettier! The bottom and middle layer were chocolate and the top layer was marble... the fillings and butter cream frosting were to die for! Everyone raved about the cake and my granddaughter (7 years old) had a HUGE piece and went back for more! I also like the fact that she will bake us a top layer on our first anniversary instead of having stale, frozen top layer from the original wedding cake. I wanted them to make special cookies w/ a design off of a picture I had. The cost was way too high ($23 dollars a dozen and I got them at Daniels of Paris for $18) and then after ordering they called to cancel because their decorator was out of town when I wanted them. read more

My wife and I used them for my sons 4th birthday recently. It was a basketball theme so we brought in pictures of what we wanted the cupcakes and cookies to look like. They NAILED it!! Best bakery I've ever used. The cupcakes are done fantastically and they're not too sweet to the point of not being able to eat them. They're closed on Sundays, which is kind of a deal breaker for me, but their pastries are delicious and I make the time to go when I can while they're open. Made an appointment with Hillary for a wedding cake consultation. We stood around the bakery for 15 minutes before this young baker brought us our tasting cakes. She then proceeded to tell us that Hillary had to go to birthday party and would not be able to make our appointment. Mind you, this was the second time we had been there, the previous time we just tasted and the young baker tried to "take our order". Sorry, this is a wedding cake, not a dozen pies. It deserves a full on consultation. We expressed our dissatisfaction, and later on Hillary called my phone. She left a nasty voicemail saying she did not understand what the problem was, even though the bottom line is that she made an appointment then did not bother to show up. She clearly does not want my $600 cake business. I will NEVER go there again. The owner is rude and discourteous. read more

I have been going here for years and have done a lot of business here and have dropped some big bucks. On one occasion I ordered a red velvet cake that ended up having several dry sections of it not completely mixed. I didn't say anything and figured human error. Recently I had a special order for a special occasion. The person at the front who took the ordered didn't give me the feeling she was actually listening or caring about what I was saying. She took down my order and had reassured me that the order and some items I asked special to be put aside for me would be waiting for me at pick up. When I picked up my order the extra items weren't put aside, the front cashier (a different girl) started arguing with me implying I hadn't actually asked for some of the GF bakery items to be put aside even though I showed her my request written on the receipt of my order. Both those girls were very young and not knowing the first thing about customer service. I probably would've let this go as well but when this kid started arguing with me, that was it. I dropped almost 100 dollars for cupcakes and pastries that were not how I ordered them. They were not what I asked for and there was a 'I don't really care' attitude about it. I'm sorry they don't value me as a costumer and they've lost me for good! I will never be back! read more

We have had the same special order cake 4 times over the past few years and each time it's been different. The last one ordered for a special birthday was not at all like the description in their menu and when I picked it up and remarked that it wasn't the same cake, the clerk told me that I had ordered whatever was in the case, which was ridiculous. Why would I special order a cake days in advance if I was willing to take anything? Then they blamed it on the new chef. Isn't consistency the mainstay of any good restaurant or food service? Then the owner came out and told me the cake was absolutely the same cake and it would be fine. That night at the birthday party, of course it was not the same cake. I called back to speak with the owner and left an extensive message with the person I spoke with, and requested that the owner call me. No further word from her. The cake was not good as it wasn't what we had ordered, the birthday decorations looked very amateurish, and the customer service was appalling. Don't know how they stay in business. read more

My family and I have lived in Parker for 15 years and have been a devoted fan of "Posh Pastries", I mean we have ordered cakes from them at nearly every birthday, graduation or baby shower. Pretty much anytime we throw a party, a "Posh Pastries" cake is there . Much to my dismay, I will no longer be doing ANY business with them. This past month, me and 2 others went in to order not one, but TWO graduation cakes. The girl working the front desk was INCREDIBLY rude and unwelcoming, she did not offer any help, or basic order information, aside from pulling up a order form and later bringing the baker to the front. When I told the register girl I wanted to order two full size cakes, she looked at me, like I was a complete idiot and said- I kid you not- "Are you REALLY going to feed 200 people?". IF she had offered me ANY information, like cake sizes and how much each cake fed, I would have chosen a half sheet. But instead she continued being rude and I, STILL not knowing if there was ANY other option said "yes." I remember feeling such a sense of relief when the register girl said she'd go grab the baker to discuss designs with me, any second longer an I was afraid I'd snap. UNFORTUNATELY the baker came out and was just as rash and rude as the register girl. I showed her a printed off picture of a design I was hoping for and she looked at me and said she couldn't do that. Which is fine, I'm a baker as well and I understand how stressful orders can be. She then asked me if I had looked at Pinterest which I replied with a calm "No, I haven't" and she just stared at me and said "Well could you." We spoke for a bit longer and she must have checked herself, because as we spoke more her attitude changed. I left with a order for two full size CUSTOM cake sheets with designs, the amount WELL over $250. After I left the store, I realized how rude they were and cancelled the entire thing. The baker called me back and was "confused" How I could think they were anything but helpful. No apology. No explanation. Nothing. Thank's Posh for the AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered two cakes at the behest of my friend for a wedding party. The first cake came out looking pretty, but the "aqua/turquoise" color came out spring green, and did not match the colors of the wedding. The top looked even, but it was all frosting. The cake layers were slippery, and the top of the cake was so uneven, the cake topper fell off multiple times, even after I tried to put dowels in it to keep things from sliding off, and the cake topper broke before photos (thank goodness for super glue). The other cake, a red velvet, was frozen when we tried to serve it 6 hours after we picked it up. Yes, we had it refrigerated, but the inside should not have still been frozen when we picked it up. The taste of the cake is acceptable, but for the cost, go somewhere where you can eat the cake when you buy it! I do like their small pastries and goodies, but the cakes are not worth the price. read more

I recently moved to Parker and decided to go there to get a large custom cake for my son's first birthday, a basic small smash cake, and 24 ordinary, not specialty, cupcakes (i paid over 3 bucks each for a small chocolate cupcake!)I paid 270 dollars for the entire order, which is ridiculously overpriced, but which I was willing to do because the cake I wanted was two tier, for 50 people, and highly decorative. The cake ended up looking great, but not tasting good. Which was still fine with me, except for the day of the party I was unable to pick it up and sent some relatives. She forgot to give them my sons smash cake, and the shop had closed by the time the party started and I realized what had happened. When I went a few days later to address the matter, she had no concept of customer service. She asked me why I didn't just pick it up myself (um, because I was busy with the last min party set-up and I thought, like any other business, what we had ordered and discussed beforehand would be given to whomever I sent to pick it up, go figure), why I didn't call (I did, but they were closed), admitted "it wasn't the first time" they had forgotten to give someone the smash cake (is that supposed to make me feel better??! Just makes them look worse) and that it was easy to forget small boxes of cakes among bigger boxes (but this is your business and what you do!). Hillary was barely apologetic and only offered to refund me 10 bucks, vs. taking 10 dollars worth of pastries from their shop. Of course I took the 10 dollars credit, no matter how minimal, because I am not giving them even 10 more dollars worth of business than I have to now. Be warned, they have no concept of customer service, and their cakes were not very good. I've had grocery store cakes that taste better for one fourth of the price. Would avoid at all costs, or else be ready for it to cost a lot. read more
