Showed up around 9:30 on a Saturday and waited maybe 20 minutes which honestly wasn't bad at all considering how popular this place has become. I was also shocked they still had almost everything available by the time I got inside. I'm not going to pretend I know the names of every pastry I grabbed, but every single thing was excellent. The first thing you notice is the lamination. You can immediately tell these people know what they're doing. Beautiful layers, super buttery, crisp without becoming dry or messy. Just really well made pastries. Flavor wise everything felt balanced too. Rich but not heavy. Sweet without feeling overwhelming. You can absolutely understand why this place keeps getting national attention. Definitely worth making the drive to Parker for.

I like really lemony cake so for the baby shower I asked her to bump up the lemon flavor even before I tried the sample cupcake and it was perfect. For the cake decorating class I asked for the entire cake to be in cream cheese frosting instead of buttercream, she did that for us and a few of the other girls ended up doing the same! The class was a lot of fun and her instructions were very easy to follow.

We even fly cakes home with us to Chicago for our friends who do not have a Bundt Shoppe like ours in their neighborhood. We got to sample the red velvet which wasn't my first choice but she likes it. The cake was dry. At frost taste I was like okay I give it a chance and see if it's the entire sample or just the first bite. Nope it was the whole sample was dry. Not sure if it was an old one or sitting for awhile. Either way needless to say she chose a different cake for her wedding. Although the location of this shop is close to where she lives. I'm glad we had a chance to try sample first before deciding. The cake and buttercream that she chose was a lot better tasting as well.
