I called earlier in the day for a double mani/pedi (two people) but must have been unclear because we certainly surprised the very nice lady working. But she was willing to stay late and get both of us done even despite the surprise. She was lovely, did not skimp at all on services, and provided great massages and nail work. The lo-fi playing to the YouTube vids of quaint German towns was definitely a vibe. Will absolutely be back!

I don't get my nails done all the time, but on the few occasions I've had weddings to attend, I've been able to call them up and get same day service. I just get regular polish done, and the staff is very sweet and friendly. This most recent time, I brought in a few pictures of outfits I was planning to wear for the wedding week and they helped me choose between three colors to get the perfect shade. Another thing I liked is that they confirmed I liked the color once they had painted a nail in it...I'm guilty of not always speaking up if I don't so it was nice they confirmed. I was the only customer in the shop when I went in, so they asked if they could tag-team to get my service done, one doing my pedicure and the other my manicure, both at the same time. With drying time (and a decently long drying time at that!) I was out within an hour. As I was finishing up, they had a few folks come in that seemed to be regulars. I enjoyed my experience and think that it was fairly priced! My toes haven't chipped yet, but my nails started chipping around the 1-week mark, which feels pretty good for basic polish! When a call comes in requesting 3 pedicures & manicures, the first thing to do is not say sure just because you can get them in, but to inform the caller that there are only TWO people working so it's going to take longer. I sure would have gone elsewhere to get the group services at the same time. Because of this, everything was rushed. Massage wasn't anything to write home about but definitely disappointing as we all wanted delux with extra massage, hot stone, etc. Stones were luke warm, mask was on & off in no time. My heels aren't as smooth as they could be. My mani was beyond crap. I know the garbage files used only shred my thin nails & cause damage. So I come filed which she fought me over & I should have just refused service. But I wanted my cuticles taken care of & massage after too much chopping & kitchen work from Thanksgiving. Again, barley any massage. Nail polish left on cuticles & surrounding areas. And hey, I am well aware that standard nail polish doesn't last & chips quickly. But here we are, 15hr post services and my nail is ripped from the file & chipped polish from rushed service. Most disappointing is this was a treat to my mom for her bday. She couldn't enjoy anything as she was pulled in every direction from being the last serviced & having both done at the same time. She's 5'1" so she barley fits in the chair. 2 mani, 3 pedi, out in 90min. Not worth $206

I've been getting dip manicures with Hai Le for almost 9 months now, and she is incredible. She is very skilled and really takes the time to make sure your manicure is done right. I told her that I wanted to grow out my natural nails, and she gave me tips on how to grow them out and a bottle of oil to keep my cuticles moisturized. My nails are now long and look amazing! I've gone to other local salons for manicures, and while they were okay, I never walked out as happy as I do after a manicure with Hai Le. She is a dip manicure master! I only trust Hai Le with my dip manicures from now on.

It's been a month since I walked in and my nails are completely ruined. She cut my thumb when trimming my nails, cut into my nail bed, and made my cuticles bleed. Gel polish turned out bumpy and started chipping after a week. My fingers hurt for days after. After two weeks I took the polish off and find out that they wayy over filled my nails. They break really easily now and I have to completely regrow my nails. Like I cant even open stuff without my nails breaking off. Went and tried this place out after the other place I was going to started to not treat their customers nicely. This place was amazing hai le was so sweet and checked with me throughout the whole process to make sure I liked my nails. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. Nice little shop. The gal who did my nails was sweet. They've got a good selection of nail colours. This is my first visit, I got the classic pedicure which I'm pleased to say comes with a paraffin wax treatment. It's been less than 24 hrs and I've already got a bit of a chip on my big toe... Most of the time since my pedicure has been in slippers or sleeping so I'm not sure how that happened. read more

This place has a very cute interior design and it is very clean! There is a huge variety of colors to choose from and Sarah is great at what she does. She is also very friendly! I stopped by on a Friday evening not really knowing what I wanted. It was my first time getting my nails professionally done, and I only had a few reference pictures I found on Google to show Sarah and that was all she needed. She made my first nail salon experience wonderful and gave me beautiful nails! I've gotten so many compliments on them! read more

The service at At Nails is consistently stellar. My mani and pedi always looks fabulous and lasts for weeks. Stephen is still my guy. He is meticulous. Kris took my shoulder length hair and cut it into an AMAZING shag. (And provided fantastic conversation while doing it, really they're super cool.) I love it so much! I've gone from a girl who only wore her hair in a ponytail or braids to keeping it unbound. I've gotten so many compliments and I just love the cut -- I can wear it straightened and curly and it looks just as good both ways. She responded very quickly to my message quickly when I expressed dissatisfaction with my hair afterward, and offered to redo the color but I'd rather wait for my hair to grow out as it's several inches too short and already has layers of color in it. I arrived at 11am for an appointment that my confirmation said would last until 1:30pm and we didn't finish until 4pm. She did my cut first and then did the baby lights- they added nice color and dimension to the hair as desired. But she then did my roots and combed the color through. While my color was processing, someone arrived for a haircut and had their haircut done while my color sat. Around 45 minutes later, my color was washed out and was darker than I expected- most of the baby lights were no longer visible. She mentioned the color will fade to be lighter as expected, but the result was surprising. I also asked for 2 inches or so to be cut, and mentioned I wanted to be able to put my hair in a ponytail still. When facing the mirror, the length was going great and she showed me it could still go in a ponytail. When turned around, I lost several inches for some reason and there was no going back. She took off even more in the back, and I left unable to put my hair in a ponytail. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication and she thought I wanted the grow out to be able to be in a ponytail, but I don't think so since she initially showed me she could put it in a ponytail. By 4pm I was tired and hungry and ready to get home- she asked if I wanted to see the hair blown out and styled which I did but just wasn't up for given the 5 hours I'd been there so I said no. There was also another person waiting for their 4pm appointment to start. When I did straighten it at home, I was surprised by my hair. I've gotten cuts that suit curly hair on many occasions and have always been able to wear the cuts straight too. This cut when straight appears uneven and choppy. The transition to the short back is awkward. She'd mentioned that at the end she'd go through and do any evening, cutting of long pieces etc needed but by then, as I'd mentioned, someone had shown up for another appointment at 4 and no additional cutting was done. I'm not sure if it was an off day, if my hair just took a few hours longer than expected or if she typically stacks appointments but things seemed rushed between the clients. I've never had someone try to do a whole haircut while dye sits on and I felt like my dye was likely left on too long due to it which resulted in the darker hair and missing baby lights. I've included pictures of my hair before the appointment length wise, what I asked for, and what I got. Given the many positive reviews, I'd say this could be chalked up to an off experience but given the starkly different results I thought it was worth sharing.

I was so excited to come to this Posh Nails Salon boutique in the charming Sellwood neighborhood. The Salon is so bright, cheerful, and very comfortable inside. I really appreciate the safety precautions that the owner, Sarah Nguyen, installed in her cute shop, tall, clear barriers between the pedicure chairs and manicure counter to provide safe social distancing. I'm a fan of Sarah when she has worked at other locations. I'm extremely proud of her latest accomplishment as she opened her new business, especially during this challenging time for all of us. I have been going to Sarah for 2 years. She is fabulous, and truly the only reason why I have justified getting my nails done every 2 weeks consistently. I always get shellac nails and she does an amazing job. She takes her time to do it well every time, cutting down my cuticles, putting multiple layers on and it always lasts so long (2+ weeks without peeling/chipping). Sarah just opened up her own shop, and I now make the much longer commute to still get my nails done by her because she is worth it! read more
