Used to be my favorite spot! So sad I'll never be back. I called and made an appointment for 1130 for a mani pedi. They had me sitting in the pedicure chair for an hour before even touching my toes. And to top it off when we started the manicure, I have a thin spot on my nail that I let them know beforehand hey this really hurts and it's a really thin spot. Please try to avoid it. Update: I haven't been able to make it back to TT Nails because of personal reasons but, I had to literally soak them off. Normally after 2 weeks I'm in need of a fill after getting a full set of nails. But, it had been 7 going on 8 weeks and, my husband was very impressed on how great they still looked. The fact my husband noticed enough to ask me was If I was getting my nails done for graduation I told him (w/a smile), yes that's the plan! The racism against Black customers and mistreatment of Black customers in nails salon has been going long enough. Please stop. Yesterday was another instance at this salon. It is not too hard to notice when people don't like you or are insulting you behind your back even in another language. Body language, roughness and dismissive comments can tell the story. I don't like how some nail salons owned by Asian women or men are racist to the Black community. I don't like how they talk behind your back when you don't get the most expensive service ever they want or you have a request to not use the nail drill on your natural nails. It makes me want to create nail salon tailored for Black women that are more welcoming and with an accepting and respectful vibe. I love myself and I will protect myself with the strength of God. I will hold people to the standard of how a human being should be treated and respected. I used to gloss over them and let it slide. I refuse to put myself in situations where I experience micro aggression based on my skin color. I first didn't want to write a review and be quiet about what happens and how they made me feel. However I want the little Black girl in me to know that I will protect her, love her, heal her, shield her from future aggression, pour sweetness and kindness in her life. I love you little Black girl with your beautiful nails you want to protect; I love you strong Black woman with the way you care for your inner child. This negative experience at TT Hawthorne nails taught me a lot. First that I will not be returning there, that I will continue to speak up when something is wrong and that I ought to pour love in myself to heal and grow. Thank you. read more

Give this salon a try if you're in the mood for OUTSTANDING nail art and quality. Qynn and Annalee are my two personal favorites (I haven't tried anyone else) and they get it right every time. I love the outcome and shape, most especially how long my nails last. I continually come back to them (even though it's more than an hour drive for me now) because loyalty over everything, and nails are worth it when you want to spend the $$$. read more

My friend and I scheduled pedicures together. I chose the most expensive pedicure, my friend the least expensive. A difference of around $30. My pedicure lasted less than 10 minutes longer than hers. A total of 40 minutes for a pedicure that cost close to $80. The tech did not do all of the steps, there was no foot massage at all. She tried to finish with only one coat of polish. We sat and chatted while our polish dried and when we were ready to leave I noticed my polish was very bumpy and textured looking. I pointed it out to the tech and she just put another top coat on. I didn't want to argue, so I paid (plus tip, total of $86) and left. When I got home, my polish was still gooey and never did dry completely. I had to remove it hours later. So disappointing. I wish I had read all the way through the reviews, there is a review from a while back with a screenshot of the owner making incredibly ugly and racists comments on Facebook which is why I decided to actually leave this review at all. The manicure was beautiful, but it didn't last a week. They overcharged me $180, plus tips, because it took her 3 hours to do the design. I had to keep coming back for repairs. Additionally, the girl was really rude and kept complaining about how hard the design was instead of telling me directly that she didn't want to do it, probably to get more tips. It was not a good experience, and I lost money. I came back to ask for a refund, and she didn't want to make any gesture except offering 10% off my next manicure. When they took cash app as a form of payment I cashed apped Anna lee for my nails and she followed me to my car to make sure the cash app would go through. The time before that a disabled lady (who had one hand) through a fit after finding out that this establishment had been charging her full price to get her nails done. Another time I had to wait two and a half hours before being serviced even though I had an appointment. I literally had to ask if I could at least soak my feet while I waited. WARNING! I got a finger infection from this salon! I have gone here a few times and have really liked their work and customer service. But I did notice that they were using already used nail files on me and drill bits that were used as well and not sanitized. So shame on me for not questioning it or saying something. The first few times I got my nails done went fine so I just kept going. Well a few days after my fill about a week and a half ago, my finger started to hurt and the pain got progressively worse throughout the day. So I determined it was probably infected so I went to urgent care. They put me antibiotics and I started them and over the next few days it got worse and worse. I went to urgent care again because my finger was intensely swollen and hot to the touch. It also was starting to look green. The doctor said it was good that I came in when I did cause it coulda have turned way worse if I waited an extra day. She lanced my finger and all this foul smelling puss came out! And there was a lot of it! They started me on a stronger 10 day antibiotic and after a few days it finally got better! But the swelling and infection lifted my real nail so bad that now most of it is lifted from the nail bed. Also, I dealt with this for a week before it started getting better and it sucks because I had family in town that I haven't seen in over a year. So this definitely ruined some of my quality time with them. At this point I just wanted a refund for my fill (I got a fill and pedi) and to caution them to use sterilized bits and new files on me and other customers from now on. I reached out to qynn (my nail artist) and although she was apologetic she said she couldn't refund me for my fill because I'd have to ask her manager. I reached out to the manager Annalee and she refused to give me a refund and said they only use clean products on people. I told her i know that's not true because I've seen it myself and regrettably took the chances with it because I like Qynns work. She then sent me a picture of a sign in the salon that says "no refunds".. I'm extremely saddened and disappointed with this experience. I'm spending hundreds of dollars with my urgent car visits and I would definitely still be a customer if the situation was corrected. But the owner would rather keep my little $80 than have a happy loyal customer. I will never come here again, and I want to warn anyone that does because this was a very painful lesson I don't want anyone else to experience. Hopefully they will actually start using clean products! Def keep a lookout for your own safety! read more

This place is horrible! The absolute worst customer service I have received in a place where customers should be treated with at least respect! Theses folks rush to do work because they are running it like a factory so by the time you are pushed out of the door and have the time to realize your nails are crooked, not all the way painted over and uneven, you have to turn around to come back. I have had this happen twice and I tried to give them grace the first time they were a little rude about what I was asking to be fixed but now this time, the owner, yes, Anna Lee, who sits right behind the register, begins to wave me off and tell me it's essentially not her problem because she did a fill and me nails being uneven were form the person before. She would not even let me get a word out. THEN proceeds to tell me I would need to pay $10 for one nail to be fixed even though I just had her do them not even 12 hours before. Don't be fooled, the folks here may be able to do designs and add rhinestones but they can do that other places. The work is rushed and Inconsistent. The people here are EXTREMELY rude and when you hear the owner talking bad about you to other customers in front of you, well folks, that just shows you how much they care. No more chances for this below par establishment and I would not recommend them to any person I know. read more

I called to see if there happened to be any appointments today or tomorrow. I know it was last minute, but if they said no, they're fully booked, I would have made an appointment for another week. I was told I could be seen at the moment, which surprised me. I asked again if they had someone free to see me and they told me yes. When I showed up, all the chairs were full. I asked how long it would take to be seen and was told to just sign in. I once again asked and did not receive an answer, was told to sign in. After asking again, the man told 5 minutes and finally signed in. I looked around and there wasn't anyone whose nails were finished. I then went to the waiting area and saw another girl who was waiting. No employee told me that someone was ahead of me. I don't care if you're busy and booked, I understand, but it's disrespectful to tell people you can do their nails when you don't have open seats. If you're busy, just tell the customer to come a different day or time. Don't tell them to go to the salon and wait an unknown period of time. I've gone another time, as I messaged the talented Anna Lee if she could see me and give me a gel manicure on my natural nails.
