Best company I could have called! They came to me, was punctual, and did an amazing job! Mike turned my car around, it looks new! I have a white haired dog that sheds like crazy, also slobbers, and made my car smell less than lovely. After Mike was done, there was no evidence of any dog, or any human for that matter! Email sent to owner below. He didn't even respond. Before the email, he had a nerve to call me the next day after a POOR job to say I owed $25 more because of the type of vehicle which should have been charged by the person taking the appointment call before the job because he knew what my vehicle was. I told him that he needed to put the tip I gave towards it and suck it up. How do you try to go back and charge someone for something you should have in the beginning?! "I just want to convey again that I am highly disappointed with the services rendered from your company.  There were several aspects of the service that did not meet my satisfaction, however I maintained my composer until I received a call today indicating that there is an additional $25 charge for the type of vehicle.  Please note the previous email sent to me which does not outline that charge.  Please also note that should my credit card be charged the $25 fee, that it will be disputed. To provide feedback for the job itself, I'm also attaching a few pictures of my vehicle that depict the quality of the work that was done.  I only took a few pictures but there were also other issues that were pointed out when the techs were here, i.e. dirt streaks left on the vehicle, dirty door jams, debris under rear car seat, polish residue left behind, no gloss on tires.  This is the worse detail job I've ever had and will not be repeating the business or recommending to anyone I know.  Please don't misconstrue the fact that I didn't spend the entire evening constantly pointing out what wasn't up to parr (there were too many) or even the fact that I gave a tip (in hindsight I shouldn't have). Quit frankly, I was perturbed and just wanted to be done with it so that I could enjoy the rest of the Sunday with my family." read more

Disappointed with this service. If you are going to offer a deal online, please have the integrity to provide the same quality of service. Otherwise it's not a "deal", but a "bait-and-switch". These guys were really unprofessional , especially with the way they talked to my mother, who bought be the deal, over the phone. She had called them to inquire about their charges but the person on the other end was just rude. Clearly they do not value good customer service at all. She had to book out pretty far in advance, even though I suspect if we hadn't had the deal and were paying regular prices, they would have fit us into the schedule much sooner. They got to my place quite late, traffic was their excuse.. The job they did was on the edge of being poorly done, I would expect the "Premium" level package to be almost perfectly done. Also, the upcharges for dog hair is another way to get around offering a "deal." Guys stay away from this place. They really don't take their customers seriously. I've never seen had such a bad service before on a detail. They are unreliable in my opinion. I'm never wasting my money here again. I definitely won't recommend them to anyone. read more

I called Positivity because I saw their deal on a Groupon/LivingSocial website and wanted to see how soon they could come out. They agreed to take $5 off the Groupon price if I bought directly through them, so I did. They were able to come out the next day, which was great. On the phone, I was told to complete their form online, and they would call me back in a few minutes to confirm the appointment. It was a bit odd that I couldn't just provide the information on the phone, but not a big hassle. The gentleman called about 20 minutes past the time he was supposed to arrive and said he would be there in 5. In another 10 he arrived, but then he told me he forgot bags and he had to run back out and get them. Another 15 minutes later and he started. This delay wasn't a big deal for me because I was home all day, but if I was on a tighter timeline it would have been. The form online asked about dog hair - I selected no, because there was barely any. We had a seat cover over the entire backseat, and the dog only rode in it a few times. I removed the seat cover before the detailer came, and there was barely any hair on the seat. However, the gentleman told me that there was a fee for pet hair. When I asked how much, he told me $15-$20. I asked if it was prorated given the minimal amount and he then said it was a flat fee of $20, regardless. However, when he was done with the car, he told me it was $25. When I said he told me originally $15-$20, he said, "Well, it's $25. It's always been $25. You can see it on our website." Again, not a big issue, just frustrating. The work quality was great for most of the car, except for a few areas (between the side of the seat and the floor, between the seat and the center console, and high up on the driver's floor) that remained just as dirty as before. Between the seat side and the door is one of the first areas you see when you open the car and it just gave off a bad look. When I asked about the spots, he said, "Yeah, that's just an area we can't get with the vacuum hose." I told him that I'd gotten my cars detailed before and never had this issue, and he said, "Well, I can try with the brush." He got a brush and brushed the dirt out onto the floor. It was better, but still not great, and he left the dirt on the floor. He also didn't even clean out the sections on the other 4 seats with the brush. I feel like if this is what you do for a living, all day every day, you should have something small enough to get into the areas that every car has, between the seats and the floorboard. After he left, I ended up getting an old toothbrush and easily got that dirt out. The outside of the car was very well done, and everything was wiped down well inside, including most compartments. Everything inside was bagged up and put in the trunk, which was convenient. The only other issue is the most significant one - we had some dollar bills (between $5-$10) that we keep in a small compartment near the steering wheel for tolls and emergencies. This compartment was the only one in the entire car that wasn't completely emptied and wiped down (there were still coins and dust in it), but the dollar bills were missing. It wasn't much money, but it's the ethics of the issue. I paid a lot of money for this service (we're a student and military family), but (1) the narrow areas that weren't cleaned (2) the additional cost for the few pet hairs (and higher than I was quoted) (3) the missing dollar bills and (4) starting and finishing over half an hour late, all add up to a dissatisfied customer. Overall the car looks good, but I won't be hiring Positivity Detailing again. read more

I wish I could write a review about this company's services, but nobody showed up for my appointment the day it was scheduled. I originally made an appointment, and a few days later rescheduled it for a different date. I received a confirmation for the new date and took the day off from work in order to be home for my auto detailing. Granted, it was raining the day of my appointment, but I expected at least a phone call or email about the status of my appointment. I waited all day, and NO ONE showed up. I called, left voicemails, emailed and even went through their website to get someone in touch with me to discuss why nobody showed up. I still have yet to hear from someone. I purchased this service via Groupon, along with a home cleaning service via Groupon. I scheduled both services for the same day, and took off from work to be home that day. BOTH services failed to show up to my home on the scheduled day. And neither service has returned my phone calls. I called Groupon to file a complaint and request a refund, which they obliged to do. I won't be purchasing any more deals like this via Groupon anymore, and I was very disappointed in Positivity's lack of response to my no-show appointment, considering the "positive" reviews this place has. read more

I recommend that no one uses this service. I used this company through Groupon and purchased the inside outside clean. Positivity Mobile Detailing is nothing but a scam. I saw all the pictures and reviews and was impressed. But They promise the sun and the moon for everything that will be done to your vehicle. To shampoo my car Mike the owner was the one servicing my truck. He came to my house in a Honda Accord with the bare minimum of equipment. Tells me his vacuum is loud and doesn't work well. I had to allow him to use my personal vacuum. What type of detailing company comes to do a job with broken equipment?? To shampoo the interior Mike used two dirty rags and 2 spray bottles with out labels on them. On stains the brush he used looked as if he washes every car inside and out with it. After he finished the inside he unprofessionally claimed he ran out of time and had to pick his girlfriend up from work. He also told me he would reschedule the outside for another day. 2 days later my debt card was charged an additional $125. When I called him he acted as though he didn't know who I was and said they already refunded me the money. This never happened. So now I'm out of $250 and a dirty truck. Nothing positive will come from choosing this company. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER BUSINESS. THIS IS A SCAM. POOR UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE. read more

after a hiccup during our first appt where no one called to tell me they had to cancel due to their vehicle broken down, i went ahead and asked for a refund from both the company and LS. A week after the incident, they called me back to apologize and asked if they could reschedule my appt to come back out, which i allowed them to but had to wait a month for a saturday appt :( CONS: had to pay an additional $20 because I lived in VA PROS: the gentleman gave me a 45 min courtesy call, was very professional, and did an amazing job cleaning all the dog hair! Took him 4 hrs to complete the interior, exterior and engine. If they didn't charge the travel fee, I would prefer to have the same guy come back and clean every time i need detailing. the convenience that they come to your home gives you the mobility to continue with your daily activities. i hope they continue to keep up the good job and offer another appt to those on here that had a bad experience. read more

The fellow arrived pretty close to on time. He was incredibly detailed and went over places I would not have thought about. Took 4 hours and left me a car looking like new. Like others I bought a Living Social voucher, waited and no one showed up. I had 4-5 telephone conversations with a gentleman named Andre who is in Florida. He was a nice enough guy but I kept getting the "someone will be there in a few minutes" speech. I called back again about 2:45 and was told "they are almost there". At 3:15 they called back and said they could have someone here at 5. Really? It's dark here at 5. I asked if they could come tomorrow or over the weekend to my home. They said they were booked for the next month. At this point, just give me my money back. Five minutes later, phone rings again and they said guy would be here in 5 minutes. Again, it will be dark before he's done and what kind of job will I get in the dark? Wish I had read the Yelp reviews before even going down the road with this outfit. I can hardly wait to see how much fun it will be to get my money back from Living Social as well as the additional $20 I had to pay for them to come to Virginia. Sigh. I will update this review if they do end up rescheduling me in the next few days, otherwise I'm going elsewhere. I normally do not post on here, because typically don't have a reason too. Service usually isn't amazing or terrible expect this company! I will never use them again!! I absolutely didn't receive positivity. The guy Mike is rude and extremely unprofessional. After he finished detailing my truck, I took a quick look to see how he did. Immediately it was apparent that he missed some areas. I found lots of places that weren't 'even touched and he totally didn't clean the top of the truck or the engine. When I pointed these out to him. He immediately says to me "We give you 3 hours that's it, I did what I could do in that time, even if I didn't get everything done its better then it was." You can imagine how shocked I was. So I said Mike, I can't have my car not totally cleaned. If I need to pay more so that it can be fully clean let's do that but this isn't making since. I thought you were going to clean the whole vehicle?? He voiced to me "that he was frustrated because he was over his time and had something personal to take care of and i'm spilling over into that time." I said, you can come back if you want I totally understand, how can we take care of the areas that you missed. The engine is like filled with leaves..and the mats aren't even clean. This is when it gets crazy, he starts going off!!! Saying that i'm not respecting his time! At this point I had to calmly ask him to just leave. I had guest in my pool they started checking on me to make sure I was ok. Then he says that if he was in Bethesda he wouldn't be having this problem. Which really throw me for a loop. I said ok sir, please just get your things before I call the cops. The mayor of my town lives a couple doors down from me. She text me asking is everything ok because this guy was in my driveway yelling. I'm like no this guy is crazy. I'm in the customer service business and this was the worst I have ever experienced. He already had my credit card info so that is probably why he didn't care of the quality of his work or whether I was a happy client. The owner came by to inspect the car, agreed that a terrible job had been done, and promised to re-do the work. I really needed it because my car was a mess and I was only about a 2 weeks away from having my first child and needed a clear car for her to ride in. They made my car spotless! Worst detailing company I have ever felt with!!! Beware !!!!! They will rob you...I called Positivity to arrange an appointment to have my girlfriends car done in early December of 2015. I am from MA and she lives in MD. So I asked if she decided she did not want the gift if I would be able to get a refund. Being that it was $200.00 I wanted to be sure. The person I spoke with said yes I would be able to get a refund and I even asked a second time to be sure. I then went ahead and purchased the detailing and my girlfriend unfortunately decided she did not want it. When I called back they told me I could not get my money refunded. And I am still fighting to have the charges taken off my account. Completely dishonest. Wouldn't even give me the correct number for someone higher up to speak to. NEVER AGAIN!!! And I will tell everyone I know in that area about their crooked business practices. read more

I confirmed an appointment with Mike for Saturday morning at 11am (7/2/16) and gave the deposit as requested. Saturday morning at 10:30 I called Mike because I hadn't heard from him. When I called he said he was still on a job and would be a little late so I said fine...11:30 rolled around and still no Mike and still no call, so I called him and he said that he booked an appointment at 9am and forgot that he booked my appointment, so unfortunately he was not going to be able to keep my appointment. I told him that it was nearly impossible for me to find another detail shop at the last minute to service my car, so he said he would be at my house at 2pm. At 1:40 he calls and says he's not coming. He cited scheduling issues and manpower issues none of which are my fault. Instead of sucking it up and being a man of words he opts not to deliver as promised. Integrity and customer service are the cornerstone of every business and Positivity Mobile Detailing failed. When I told him I would be writing a review, he called me back and asked that I reconsidering writing the review and tried to play the race card by saying I'm a brother just like you...a person's color/race is irrelevant to me. A business owner must possess integrity and a will do attitude. I WOULD NOT recommend this company under any circumstance. I have never encountered such an experience. If I could leave zero stars I would. I made a reservation online for an ultimate inside and outside mobile detailing. The company emailed me the morning of the reservation one hour before the scheduled time, to reschedule my service to one week later but did not call me to let me know they were not showing up. When I called to find out why the service had been rescheduled with no real advanced notice, the owner, Mike Winter let me know that they outsource their services to contractors, and that the contractor who'd "tentatively confirmed" his availability with them had called that morning to cancel. He said, "we normally reschedule to the same time the next week assuming that people will be available." Bad assumption. However I accepted the new time and asked that if he had to cancel next week, could he let me know more than an hour in advance so that I could make other work accommodations. The following Tuesday, today, I called at 9:15 am prior to my 9:30 service to confirm that a detailer was coming. The same gentleman answered the phone and when I stated that I was calling to confirm his response was "you're going to be mad at me. I'm the same guy you talked to last week." He then said that today his car broke down, and he was waiting at a friend's rental car company for a rental car but the friend was not picking up. I asked if he still planned to perform the service today, and he said "yes but I'm unable to promise you a time at the moment." I told him that was fine and asked if he could please give me a call when he knew his expected ETA, and that I would wait. I just received a phone call, now two hours later, stating that the rental car owner had been their earlier than him so he missed him, and he wouldn't be able to service my car because he had another appointment this afternoon that he can't be late to. When I asked how he planned to rectify the situation, he said that he already rescheduled me for another Friday and would be able to perform the service then. When I asked if he planned to accommodate me for cancelling on me twice without advanced notice, he said that performing the service was the accommodation, and he recognized that this was "my inconvenience" but he has high volume and frequently has to reschedule. I then asked if this is how his business is usually conducted and he said "no, well, sometimes." He finally offered me a 10% discount on the service; however, after two wasted days with no regard for my time, I will most definitely not be patronizing this unprofessional "business." read more

These guys showed up right on time and did exactly what I was hoping they would be able to. I'd had my vehicle in storage during my deployment and it smelled like moth balls from at least ten meters away. They cleared that up and also removed older stains -- even a few that had been there when I bought the car three years ago. After showing up late, and only one person, Mike only completed the inside of the cars before he said he had to travel to the east coast. He said he would return in early October to complete the job we paid for. Well, after he didn't show up on the assigned day, and not getting a return call after many tries, I posted a negative FB comment on his page. I finally got a call from him. He goes through his problems and says how sorry he is and says he promises to come a finish on Nov. 15th. We get a call on that day from him saying he has more problems, and if he can come and do the cars on Dec. 15th. I control my anger and say OK, but he must show up on Dec. 15th. Well yesterday was the 15th, and no Positively Mobile Detailing. I made several calls to the company with no response back! Please DO NOT PURCHASE ANY GROUPONS FOR THIS COMPANY AND AVOID USING THEM AT ANY COST. Mike the Owner actually showed up and spent almost FOUR hours washing, waxing, detailing my baby, '06 BMW 5-series. I was somewhat annoyed that the original appointment was rescheduled, but now I could see why - he's so damn busy! He called a few hours earlier on the day of the appointment to let me know he was on his way, and that he'd be a few minutes late, which was cool, at least he called and let me know. I was busy working at my home office while he sweated away in the hot weather, and after I got the call and went down to see my car, I was blown away by how awesome of a job Mike did; my car is like-new again. All the nooks and crannies under seat were vacuumed and cleaned, the mats and plastic liners were cleaned, everything was as I expected and more. I was really, really impressed with his quality work and attention to detail. My baby is glistening and shining like the day I brought it out of the lot! Mike was such a gentleman as well, and treated me with respect and professionalism. I gave him a large tip, and he certainly earned it, the way he spent more time than is stated on his website, to make sure that I was satisfied and completely happy. If you want your dirty, smelly, dingy looking car to at least LOOK new, shiny, and bright, then Mike and Positiviy Mobile Detailing is the WAY to GO!!! read more

Buyer Beware. Bought 2 car details from them. Initially got the offer from Amazon local. When I called them to buy 2 details instead of one - they ran the deal under the Living Social coupon.. Cannot get a live person to talk to. When they call you back its from a Cell phone - with a 240 area code. They send a receipt (which I plan to take to the police and my lawyers), didn't show up for the job. They called 2 days after the appointment to reschedule - as he said they ran late. I said No Thank you - I need my money back - this happened on the 8th of September 2014. Every since then I cannot get through - left them voice mails and reminder emails - no correspondence. The person who detailed my car must not have known what detailing means. I could've taken my car to a $7 car wash and gotten a better result. The windows were smeared and the wax job was smeared. The floor mats must've been vacuumed with a dirty vacuum because they looked worse after he was finished with them. The product he used to wax the car attracted dirt and dust. I actually had to wash my car again the next day. Also it appeared that he didn't use any amour all on the interiror. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Please choose another company. After 4hrs of work, my truck was still not clean. The owner is very unprofessional and apparently has a problem with working in particular areas, primary black - I live in Landover. The cops had to be called because the owner and employee had problems. Instead of the owner correcting the problem, he went on to insult me, the customer. Like a previous customer, I could have gotten better service at a $7 car wash. I will be cancelling my other appointments that was scheduled for my family members. read more

Michael, as indicated in my review, I had an appointment on December 15, 2014. It was for an Ultimate inside and outside detail. The fact that you do not recognize my name does not mean that I do not exist. It is not uncommon that people have and use multiple names. I used my first name to book with Positivity and my middle name is on my review. If Yelp showed surnames, then you would see the same surname in your records. I also have saved voicemails from the woman from your company who makes reservations from December 14, 2014 about scheduling the service for the next day, and from December 16, 2014 acknowledging that the detailing appointment was not kept. Regardless, all of this is a ridiculous distraction from Positivity's horrendous customer service, which the company should be apologizing for rather than accusing a paying customer of not existing. I paid for a Living Social voucher for your services. Because those services were never rendered, I requested and received my refund from Living Social within a matter of days. Rather than trying to discredit paying customers who have been screwed over by your company, perhaps Positivity should work on actually getting the job done. read more

I totally agree with the recent posts..STAY AWAY... COMPLETE RIP OFF !!! I bought a coupon from Living Social and gave these guys 6 months to come and detail my car. I paid $100 for living social coupon and then these guys asked for another $25 as they charge more for a SUV (which they charged on my credit card). Then they provided me an apt. date 2 months away and since then they kept on changing my apts. letting me know that they have a schedule change. After 6 months of continuous schedule change, I got an e-mail from them saying that they have stopped serving the Dallas market and refunded my $25 on to my credit card. But left it on me to get the refund from living social. When I contacted living social they mentioned that they can only give me a living social credit that I can use for future purchases. Now I am left with $100 living social credit and a dirty car.. Frustrated with their service. read more
