I've come to Post Pack & ship for several years now and I will continue to do so. What can I say, Tom won me over and I like supporting the "mom & pops" As a customer and a small business owner, I have to tell you how Tom went out of his way for me. I had a shipping rush emergency for court documents. Not only did he notarize my documents, he packaged them, and had them ready for Fedex pick up. When I was on the road I got a call from my attorney who stated that he needed a faxed copy of the documents NOW!!! There seemed to be a court mishap to say the least. However, I called Tom to see if he could help me out. Tom was able to scan the documents, and fax them to the number I needed. He then placed them back in a new package and got them out on time via fedex. Post Pack & ship in Pasadena is where Ill continue to go to for notary, shipping, and possibly a mail box. DO NOT go here! The workers are horribly rude and unhelpful. I was told I could drop off my cable receivers at any UPS place, but when I went in they turned up their noses and said they wouldn't help me. When I asked if they could tell me where the nearest UPS Store was, they refused and told me to look it up myself. How rude is that? I was being super polite and sweet when I walked in, but they completely ruined my sunny disposition. I hope they get closed down! All I needed was to get live scan fingerprints for In Home Health Services...I called to check on the price, I was told it starts at $40 and goes up from there...he couldn't give me an answer, then when I said I would come over I was told "you have to make an appointment on our web site..." ***UGH*** REALLY?? I go to the web site, start to book an appointment UNTIL they want my credit card info to 'hold my appointment'...You have GOT to be kidding me! Their policy is if you are 5 min late they will consider you late and charge you a NON REFUNDABLE $20. fee for not being there on time. No 'effing way! I have a special needs kid...if he is having seizures - which I have no control over, I am not paying a FEE for being more than 5 min late. Doctors, lawyers, and every other professional I deal with on a daily basis don't operate like this. Good luck if they can get people to give them their credit card # and pay late fees if they are more than 5 min late...but I won't be using Post, Pack & Ship...EVER! (FOR ANYTHING!) They are certainly not the only game in town. I find the whole thing ridiculous! read more

Do not do not do not go here! Zero dependability with your packages, rude service and overcharging. Seriously, you will regret it. I made the mistake of stumbling into here to ship some packages because it was near the other places I was shopping -- clearly, I should have done a little more research and gone elsewhere. First of all, the markup on a FedEx package is *considerably* greater than any other shipping places I have used -- I understand that there's a matter of supply and demand, and that this guy is running a business -- but when presented with the option of paying over 2x above the going price of other places, I was obliged to choose a different means of shipping. When I asked for a tracking number, I was told to "call back later in the day." Two days later, I did call back, just to confirm the shipment and finally get my tracking number. I was told that my package still had not gone out, and that I would have to call back later THAT day and get a tracking number. Needless to say, this was infuriating. When I asked (politely, still) how come I couldn't get a tracking number then, I was told "I have too many packages, there are over 80 of them waiting to go!" I'm not sure what kind of podunk operation gets swamped under 80 packages, and still hadn't sent shipments several days later -- but they're apparently still open and accepting your packages to be swallowed up into the great void. It is truly amazing that this place it still in business. I guess it is only because of people like me who wander in by accident. In the unlikely event that my niece and nephew ever receive their Christmas presents, I might consider adding one-eighth of a star -- in the meantime, though, I can only say that shipping things from here is roughly the equivalent of flushing them down a poorly-managed turlet. read more

The only reason this rating has one star is because Yelp made me choose a rating - would not give it any stars. Worst customer service I have ever encountered!!! OMG these people are beyond RUDE. Seriously don't know how they are even in business. I asked the Asian man at the counter to tell me how much it would cost to ship three small items / post office next door was closed, it would have cost $4.95 and the packaging would have been FREE / he proceeded to pack and tape my goodies in a box in the back where I could not see what he was doing then told me that it was $4.95 for the packing and another $12.50 for shipping. I had not even given him the shipping address yet so I'm not sure how he could calculate. When I told him no thank you, I don't want to pay that and I do not want your box either as I did not ask you to pack it, but to tell me what it would cost, he semi-pretended not to speak English and yelled at me to pay him for the box. I just walked in to this business to buy stamps and drop off some packages to be shipped. Wow- this shipping place does not accept drop odd packages that are prepaid. Bad business people. I'll buy marked up stamps from an establishment that offers courtesy service to its customers. It sort of smelled awful too in there. You are a business that sells product for a mark up- all things that usps and businesses like fed ex and ups offer. These places offer the courtesy of drop off service. You choose not to. I came in here to send a care package to a friend. I waited at least 5 minutes for someone to even come to the front of the store. I needed advice on choosing a padded envelope vs a box and which shipping method to use as I needed the package there as quickly as possible. The man who helped me just said, "I don't know." So after packing the envelope myself, he put it on a scale and said it would be $15.75 without specifying how long it would take to arrive. After having to ask him for the specifics of the price, he told me it would take 5 business days. That is when I decided to take my items and told him I would go to the Post Office instead. He had the nerve to tell me to return the envelopes to their place at which point I told him it was not my store. He said, "you people are always complaining." so not sure if he meant women or short people or what. Will never return there. read more

WARNING!!! THE MAN who runs this store (may be the owner) IS A CON!!! He added an extra $32.00 to my debit card and REFUSED to give me a refund. He started yelling "This is my store, I can do what I want!". I have filed a claim with my bank Wells Fargo) and reported him to The Better Business Bureau. Also, I will be calling my local police station and the FCC to file a report. I just read numerous Yelp reviews and everyone had been either over-charged, treated rudely or both. Recommend Post Pack & Ship only to people you hate. Easily the rudest man in customer service works here. If you want to be treated like an animal, by all mean do your business here. I asked to have a package shipped USPS priority mail with tracking. He told me they did not do tracking on USPS mail and then charged me approx. $8.65 to ship a ladies watch. He said if I wanted tracking, I would have to ship UPS for $16.00. Seriously? He then rudely told me to just go and that he would handle everything. He said it angrily which ticked me off. I only came to this place because my girlfriend said there was an actual U.S. Post Office in the same shopping center which I didn't initially see - its only a few doors down from this shop in the same shopping center. Stupid me. I then marched back into the store and asked for my package back and a refund. He charged me $1.00 to use his shipping label. Come on. At least I got the refund though. I then went to the actual post office a few doors down and they charged me only $6.55 for USPS mail with tracking included for the exact same package saving me $2.10 on a small item like a watch. I can only imagine how much customers could be getting gouged on other services. Speaking of rudeness. The lady in front of me left in a huff cussing and muttering to herself after dealing with this rude man. Then after me, a lady said good morning to him and he literally glared at her and said nothing back. I was floored. Who behaves like this, especially with their customers? Definitely recommend this location if you have any fragile items that need to be carefully packed. We came in a few months ago with an extremely fragile and large porcelain sculpture and Tom was very helpful and knowledgeable from the start. The sculpture arrived safely to its destination. Needed notary services completed and it was completed extremely quickly and knowledgeably by Tom. Great location, efficient service, and expected pricing for a non-franchise ship center. Tom is working extremely hard to make the business run and he does so at lightning speed on par with a busy New Yorker. Californians might not be used to his speed, but there's nothing rude about it. I rather respected his hard work. It was faster and better than any UPS Store I've been to. It was also much better than the last notary I went to in Beverly Hills which was tiny and uncomfortable, plus the owner/notary public in BH was foreign with an accent and seemed less knowledgeable than Tom about notary services. Tom is perfectly American with no accent and perfect communication skills. He did seem stressed, possibly overworked, but it could have been from the season or from the transition from the old management. read more
