The employees need training in how to interact with customers. Sloppy, slovenly appearance. Poor posture. Rude. Arrogant.

I only use UPS for returning Amazon orders and dropping off packages with prepaid labels, so I can't speak on their shipping services. The staff are always polite whenever I visit; every time I'm short on packaging tape, they offer to seal my packages for free. During a slow hour with no line, I'm in and out of the store within one minute. However, on any given afternoon, the line wraps around the entire room due to inefficient servicing. UPS management, if you're reading this, I'm begging you -- save one spot at the counter for drop-offs only. You all probably know by now that the bottleneck in wait time is due to the customers that require more extensive shipping services (i.e. packing, creating a shipping label), which leaves many of us waiting for 5-10 minutes just to hand you a package fully ready to be shipped out. read more

Since escalating this matter to the corporate office, I have been contacted by two UPS representatives. Despite that, I am still waiting on the reimbursement that is currently being tracked. I expect this to be fully resolved, no later than tomorrow. Let me be absolutely clear: I will not step foot in that store again. The service I received was unacceptable, and I will not tolerate being treated or feel threatened by anyone. Treat people how you want to be treated! I appreciate the corporate office's intervention and expect this issue to be handled with the urgency and accountability it demands. Please make sure that when you're dealing with people, there are cameras or recordings to help you because sometimes your life or situation will possibly depend on it. I usually make the drive from the Shadow Creek location to this location because the customer service reps are usually very nice & very helpful plus they have a kiosk here. However, today, the gentleman (AA with a hat) that checked me out couldn't have been more rude. This is the first time I've ever experienced this here at this location. 1000.00 and the guy threw them in a box along with other peoples things. So, how is he going to know what goes with what at the end of the day. When I asked about it going in a box he told me yeah we do that later. I also paid a huge amount for shipping. I used the UPS in Webster last time and literally had school clothes, supplies, and toys that weighed 30 pounds and paid less than charged today for the same delivery rate. I am willing to be late to work just to get my stuff back because I do not believe it will get where it is supposed to go. I've been coming to this location for the past 4-years since relocating to Houston and moving to the Shadowcreek area. I typically go on Sundays to shipped items. I went on 4/2/22 & the customer service was horrible! The young man was at the register was looking at his phone viewing whatever. I was the only customer and he never acknowledged me. Finally I approached the counter with no "hello or how may I help you" I asked where is the older lady black who use to be here on Sundays? He was so dismissive and his response was I don't know. Then 2 employees a black female with a gray spaghetti strap body suit (very inappropriate for the workplace) and a black male came from the back. The employees were laughing, loud and the conversation was also not for the workplace. (Too much to even want to share). This UPS is independently owned and I've met the owners in the past and seem very nice. Now the store current employee's are unprofessional and poor customer service. read more

Perhaps this was my fault. Maybe I should have ASKED how much they were going to charge me for the box, bubble wrap (despite me bringing in my own air "pillows" which they didn't use) and the tape. OR, maybe I didn't realize they would use such a large box to pack my item... which then increases the cost to ship it... nonetheless, to say I was SHOCKED when I was told my total was $40 would be an understatement. What? $40 to send these 2 pictures which cost me maybe $10? Needless to say, I didn't go through with the deal. I'm sure the guy was pissed I didn't even buy the materials which ran about $14 alone. He had to unwrap all his hard work... probably grumbling profanities about me along the way. Sorry. A plus for this place was that there was NO LINE when I came in! A big difference from the USPS. By far the worst service, need to hire better staff. Stay away from this location. Go to the other location on ShadowCreek or just go to the postal store next to Costco. I had my label on my phone and Unhelpful staff said if I want them to print I have to email it to them and that cost money for them to receive the email and then on top of that to print it there is a charge. Paid for 12 months box service to receive mail and packages. I'm more than one occasion my packages were lost. The first incident the young man was willing to help me and I did get my package the next day second package lost with no help in trying to locate the package. Gentleman said that he never spoke to me when I specifically spoke to him on a Friday and told him I would come back the next day because I knew that he was busy. Getting packages seem to bother them when that's the service that I paid for so I have submitted my keys and will get my mail elsewhere. read more

Weirdest ups experience ever. I went to do a drop off(which I have extreme experience in it because I was an assistant manager at a ups store not too long ago). I was greeted by an associate that was carrying a PISTOL on his waist. (I didn't know ups stores had open carry wow.) I know recycled materials/peanuts is not 100% complimentary but over time of working and going to ups stores if they have them then they have them. The guy with the gun told me they don't recycle anything and that I would have to buy peanuts. After that I was skeptical but I said cool. 2nd I had a label on my phone. I've never been charged to print a UPS label for a drop off or witnessed anybody get charged for it. Well I guess this store charges. Lastly, after I paid for a few peanuts and the label I wanted to make sure the associate taped my package because I was selling shoes. She then gave me an attitude, so I asked to see the tape gun. I went it today a forwarded a mailing label to be printed and was told that a new charge of $3 has been implemented to "walk to the back to print" is utterly ridiculous. This is the closest UPS store to me so I usually use it for Amazon returns. I'm not a customer service guy generally but it's very hit-or-miss at this place. One of the guys is always micro aggressive to some customers but not others that I've observed while waiting in the long lines but that's part of dealing with unskilled laborers sometimes so it's not that big of a deal to me. Something kind of off-putting is how immature, combative, and argumentative the company responses are on Yelp. I find that these are a reflection of how they feel about their customer base and is somewhat consistent with some employee behavior. They do work pretty fast to handle the long lines that can accrue at this place which is great. Their normal hours make it accessible during the week. Will continue to use but really only because of the location. read more

This is my favorite UPS store and the only one I use. The staff are always professional and courteous everytime I have something I need to deliver or pick up. They always are friendly and eager to help. Great customer service goes a long way and they do it right at this location. The only thing I wish is that they had Sunday hours or slightly later Saturday pickup hours. I walked in, package in hand, two younger guys were talking amongst themselves, and gave me no acknowledgment. As I got closer, I said "Hi!" One of the guys started asking rapid questions regarding my package, "Is that a return? Do you have that addressed? What do you need?" I paused, and smiled again and said, "Hi! I'll need a ground shipping slip." So that I would be able to ship using my account. This guy tells me that they don't have the slips and they cannot ship my package with my account. If I want to ship it, I will need to have the label already. But on the other side of Pearland, I can ship this was with no problem. As well as if you have an account with FedEx, FedEx will ship your items with no problems. Needless to say I was extremely upset with the way I was treated. I had a return for Amazon I showed her the wrong scan code by accident, she told me "that's kohls" and walked off, she was no help and just brushed me off! My first time doing this, so I needed help! I was able to locate the correct email and showed her "oh that's better" with an attitude, she handed me my receipt, I walked out but noticed it only said qty 1 and I had 2 items, so I walked back in and mentioned that I have 2 items not 1 and with an attitude she stated "I asked you that ma'am" which she did not, while still doing what she was doing, she didn't stop, didn't walk up to greet me or help me, just straight up rude!
