I can only tell my story; I have had the great fortune and luck to know the owner of this store, Adrian, for many years. We met under the worst of circumstances. One horrible Saturday morning as my daughter and wife were riding their bicycles on the sidewalk, adjacent to Adrian's store, my daughter was hit by a car. The car took off and fled the scene. A pedestrian had called 911 but there was no response from any operator. Adrian, who apparently was just opening his store that morning, ran over, and immediately sought to help. When Adrian discovered that 911 was not responsive, he told my wife that he will transport my daughter himself. Adrian ran in the other direction, jumped into his vehicle, made a u-turn and came back to retrieve my daughter. He carried her into the backseat of his car, as he and my wife headed for the West Hills Hospital emergency room. Subsequently, my daughter eventually recovered in due time. Her ankle was broken from the impact and she suffered multiple contusions as well. My family is so very thankful for Adrian, who was our hero and always will be! We will always love him for the quick action he took on that morning. If you ask him, he is so incredibly humble and kind. Amazingly, to this day, he even apologizes to us for not staying longer at the hospital, but according to him, he had left the front door of his store unlocked and had no choice but to leave the emergency room after my daughter was admitted.
