I had cookies and brownies to send to a colleague and his wife. I was sick all of December so when I found out they were sick for an extended period of time, I knew I wanted to send them a little something to brighten their day. I am on campus 4x a week. I parked to walk to my building when I saw this place across the street. Delighted, I walked back to my car to take the baked goods out. The gentleman helped me right away - he boxed them for me, taped it up, and slapped a label on it. Of course FedEx and UPS were more expensive so I stuck w/ USPS. The long transit time had to do w/ USPS and possibly the weather, so I know that isn't on Postal Annex. While waiting he shared the spam app to get rid of spam calls. I get so many throughout the day. I have not looked into it but I will soon when I have a moment to take a breather. I did go to the post office the day before but the line was horrendous. *LIMITED* USPS Services only & shady practices : I send USPS Flat Rate Boxes often to different states, including the one I was shipping to today. Prior to arriving I researched the business to find out if they offered USPS services. Their site confirmed that they did,well as the notices posted on the exterior & interior of the store. The owner weighed my boxes & charged $39 for 1 of the boxes. (This would have been the price by weight. The cost of a Large Flat Rate box: $22.45) The business should advertise LIMITED USPS services if they do not honor or complete all of them such as the price of mailing a flat rate box. Side Note: When leaving the customer trying to complete a different transaction while I was present yelled to me as I walked away that the guy was a *jerk! (*He did not use that word.) He said the owner would not permit to pay w/credit card & would only accept cash from him even though his signage says "Purchase of $5 or More Required for Credit Card Purchase" (His was over $5) Long & short of it... find another place. SCAM ALERT!! This business will SCAM you. Here is my experience: I signed up for a mailbox in 2019 and immediately upon completing signing paperwork and paying for the box I am informed there is a monthly package receiving limit and I'll have to get a bigger box to have a bigger limit. I say well that's not in the paperwork anywhere and am told well that's how it is. So I begrudgingly accepted it even though I've had accounts with other postal annex locations and this has never been a thing. Then when I renew my box (over phone) they are very rude tell me I am late etc. I know that, I'm paying a late fee and I don't have any problem with the late fee because that is my fault and I appreciate them keeping my box open even though I was late. They don't have to be RUDE about it! I was never rude with them. Then I go to pick up a package that has been there for approximately 6 weeks. Again they are rude and tell me that I can not leave package there so long they will charge me a storage fee! (mind you the "package" is a single t-shirt) I inform them that I am out of town frequently and so that's why i have this mailbox in the first place so you hold my mail for me until I get back. They say well there is a storage fee for holding packages. Once again I point out this is not in any contract I signed. Then I look in my box and I find the renewal paperwork & receipt from renewal--They overcharged me $36 for the renewal. I go back inside to point this out and the employee tells me that when I renewed the rate has updated, even though that's not what's on my renewal paperwork. These are scammers. Update I went to the postal annex on el Camino and received great customer service. I explained my situation and the live scan tech there was very patient and made sure she produced the best prints possible. My first fingerprints got approved and it was at a cheaper price than postal annex in San Jose. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed in postal annex in San Jose and it caused a lot of trouble for me since my fingerprints were rejected twice, I had to pay all the fees again, my application needing the fingerprints is delayed, and experienced bad customer service. I highly recommend going to postal annex on el Camino. read more

I called this location to get a quote for a 80+ page training booklet. Kumar assisted me over the phone and the quote was more than reasonable. I agreed to have my item printed there. Kumar asked me to send him the PDF file and he told me that he would have it ready before they closed. I called at 4:42 p.m. he called me back at 4:55 p.m. (SAME DAY) to let me know that it was ready for me to pick up! AMAZING service and so friendly! Terrible service. I used a remote mailbox here for over one year and they raised the rates 200%. This is ludicrous. I can understand if prices go up 10-20% even but 200%?!? That's outrageous. I recently moved from SJ to the East Coast and decided to use PostalAnnex to ship 2 large boxes containing my personal belongings including meemaw's ashes. 1 of 2 of my packages arrived today, however the second has been lost in transit. I just got off the phone with a case investigator from FedEx who said this issue was due to PostalAnnex erroneously placing the shipping labels for BOTH boxes on ONE box, leaving the second box without any shipping labels. So here I am, on the other side of the country, hoping that some poor FedEx employees can find an unlabeled, untrackable box in a huge warehouse of packages. While their in-store customer service was fine, this type of carelessness is unacceptable when dealing people's personal belongings. This experience has become super stressful for me, and I just want my stuff back. read more

I went in for Live Scan fingerprinting and was assisted quickly, professionally, and in an extremely friendly manner by a gentleman (Mahendra?). Although the system was down momentarily, he made sure to call tech service and get it up and running in order to complete the fingerprinting. New owners as of maybe 6 months ago and they raised all prices. Small box is 17$ now vs. 14 monthly. They say if you pay for 1 year you get 2 months free, but u still pay for the full year $204.....you get 2 months AFTER the year. If I could give them zero stars, I would. How incompetent do you have to be to offer passport photos and then not have a clue as to what is an acceptable passport photo? The first time I went, they didn't tell me that you now need to remove your glasses for passport photos, so my renewal was rejected by the passport office. I had to get an appointment and spend a day in San Francisco at the passport agency, only to find that the second set of photos was not good either, because it wasn't head and shoulders enough. These people must be idiots. If you can't trust them to do something as simple as this, what can you trust them for? I managed to get another passport photo--but not from PostalAnnex. read more

I went in to take a passport photo for renewal. The owner Mahendra took my photo and handed them to me in no time. I took the photo home and filled out the renewal form. I noticed the photo was too large per the photo size on the form. I took the photos back. Both Mahendra and Nilam were very accommodating. Mahendra re-took my photo with no charge. As many others have posted, this store overcharged me for my fingerprint live scan. As of this posting, DOJ fee is $25 and the stores rolling fee is $18. Which is a total of $43. They charged me $61; effectively charging me twice for the rolling fee. I called the store the next day and was luckily given a phone number to speak to Certifix Live Scan (800-710-1934). They confirmed it should have cost $43 and are looking into getting me the $18 refund. Wish I read these reviews before doing business with this PostalAnnex. read more

So I just needed to make a photo copy of some paper work and swung by here for that. Well let me tell you I had a horrible experience here. It was mostly the workers and their customer service. I walked in and said what I needed to do and this girl and dude both tell me to help myself to the machines. Basically I had to ask 3 times. 3 times! 1st they tell me to use the machine on the far left. I check both machines on the left side and neither of them worked/turned on. Then the girl comes over to help me and directs me to the machine in the middle. It turns on, but since I don't ever use a photo copier I felt like an idiot because it looked confusing as hell. Like how was I suppose to start this process? What am I suppose to press? These two workers were just leisurely chatting. It doesn't take an expert or professional to know that it's just unprofessional. I see this too often. No boss around, hardly any customers and whomever is working will just y'know chill and lose focus and dilly dally around. And that's exactly what took place here. So finally they see that I'm having a hard time making copies of anything and the male worker finally takes initiative. He comes up to me and offers to do it for me because there's a photo copier machine that works behind the counter. C'mon dude why didn't you just do that from the start and waste our time. Are you actually lazy and don't wanna do your job? At the very least it costed me 33 cents for 3 copies. On top of all that what's funny was, after he made the copies for me he just stared at me for a few seconds until I had to say: 'can I get my paperwork'. This dude literally forgot to give me what I came for. Terrible. If I ever need to make copies of any paperwork I need then I am most certainly going somewhere else. read more

DOES NOT SANITIZE!! I was refused service because I asked for them to wear gloves while conducting my LiveScan. After he told me he didn't have gloves I said ok fine may I just please see you sanitize your hands before touching me to do the live scan. He got so furious and refused to do the live scan. My boyfriend called him after and he told him that "I am busy I do not have time to sanitize." This is flat out disgusting. There was a bottle of sanitizer next to him and he refused to use it. Because of the mask he was wearing, it was really hard to understand what he was saying so I asked again but he didn't even bother to repeat or help me. Instead, he helped people behind me and kept me waiting for several minutes without even telling me what's going on. Came here to print something quick (colored flyers) for school and it was super fast and easy! The place itself is small, but they definitely have the equipment for your basic printing needs. Plus, it's kind of under FedEx, but just as a smaller store so you may need to go through the other branches for your larger prints. I was immediately greeter by the staff who was very friendly. I only had the file off of my email account but he immediately directed me to just download the image and that he would help me from there, which he definitely did! He basically just asked me the number of copies I needed and the quality of paper I needed. It was quick and easy. It was only about $2.50 for six colored pages (on just regular paper).
