We had a great experience using LiveScan at this location! They were operating on summer hours, so I called ahead to see if they would still be open when we came in. The owner said that he would stay open until we came in so that we could get our adoption LiveScans in quickly. We came with a two year old and a thirteen year old (both squirmy!) and the owner didn't mind the extra company. We didn't have to wait at all to be fingerprinted - unlike the police stations I've been to with almost hour long waits. read more

This store does provide an extra touch for us that need to mail something. Also, since Kinko's closes and charges a mint for copying, complete with your credit card first - the Annex does give an option. On the dark side, I noted the Notary, took the time to read half my document when I was there. That was unkind and lacked professionalism - I really did not know what to say to him. In addition, as we were doing the transaction - my documents out, my wallet, cash on the counter, a 23 year-old man came over and reached across all my stuff and took a stapler. I asked the manger if that was necessary: he says -some cultures - are more aggressive than others. I looked at him and said: what compared to Americans?!! Hell we work the hardest, and we are in 3 wars as we speak. He shrugged his shoulders, and before I could finish my transaction- left to help the kid down the counter form me who just a minute before barged into money transaction. On different transaction: Also, I have noted a since of competition with the US postal service. I simply mentioned to a Starving student that the Post office charges half of what he was paying at the Annex and for no better service. That he could save a 100.00. This was a personal conversation. The store manger yelled at me about how this was business, and I could not talk about other business in his store and gave me a hard stare. I told him that in the USA a man can have an opinion - speak his mind on such issues and he snarled at me and became difficult to deal with through the transaction. This is way we have a US postal service. 1) It is impartial, all are welcome and no discrimination or forms of rebuke well be carried out. 2) it is cheaper and better run - historical truth. 3) The employees actually have benefits, a living wage and a retirement - not some guy making 8.50 an hour with nothing but a dig type cave to go to when done. Such place invite nefarious going ons.....and allow for men like this manger to carry on with less than professional grace. For profit Boxes and services really don't add up when we have a fine postal service the best in world and has served us since the start of this land. I would be careful when dealing with Postal Annex, if not all of them, they simple do not do fair, good business. Note: $70.00 A year for a US Postal Service Box Postal Annex charges 140.00 Same box same Hours and you can get 24 hour boxes in the US Postal service US Postal Service Employee gets a living wage and pension Annex Employee gets 8.50 maybe 9.00 an hour - with no benefits and not hope: it is a from of slave labor - that is in charge of your mail and life - not worth the risk - all high level documents better go to the US mail in my view read more

This PostalAnnex is amazing...the person who was there today has been such an amazing help...we can't be thankful enough. The person was very helpful, stayed beyond hours to assist me with a notary which I needed to ship out by FedEx urgently today. As I went back to the FedEx office I realized I had lost my notarized page and then I went back and the gentleman stayed even longer beyond office hours to assist me with doing the entire notary process again. Great service! Not sure of the name of the clerk who assisted me, but she was fantastic. Helped me with an urgent delivery and processed my transaction smoothly. My package ended up being sent out later than USPS would take it but arrived quicker and for less cost. Turned a stressful situation into a pleasant customer service experience. Do NOT go here! The new owners tried to rip me off by not honoring the contract I purchased with the previous owner. They tried to cut it short by 6 months! Now they claim that your monthly fee only entitles you to 10 packages a month; anything over 10 packages a month requires you to DOUBLE your monthly fee! If you don't pick up your packages within 24 hours they charge you a late fee per package, per day! Only go to this location if you like getting ripped off. read more

Today was a day dedicated to getting errands competed and passport productivity for my upcoming vacation to the Bahama's in the next month. Since being on a major time crunch I had seen this place offers passport services, but little did I know I hadn't anticipated the type of services exactly. In my head I assumed I could bypass the Post Office and get the same progress here, but it turns out they specialize in the photos for passport along with the expedited servicing! It was a bit of a setback for me, but the man at the register explained the situation entirely to me and handed me the service number for the expedited service they are partnered with. I really appreciated his time, although it wasn't what I was looking for- he saved me a lot of time and wasn't looking to upcharge me for a service I wasn't prepared for. :) They're also located next to parking meters, pizza my heart, and the new cinnaholic. I only visited Postal Annex because I was new to the city. They are slow as molasses. Not very friendly. They don't even crack a smile. As Joon Y. mentioned this place does look like a hoarder's place. There is stuff everywhere. They need some organization. I shipped a package with tracking from this place. I just remembered to review this place. I went to try to print some bigger then expected paper there hoping to find some help. Some asian girl was at the cashier and i asked if she could print this or not? She was like just use the color printer and print it. I went to the printer, it was a sheet fed printer and there was no way it would print what i needed. I was expecting help but she did not help me at all. So i walked out and walked a block back to my car. I will NEVER go back there again. Wasted my time there and seems like she doesn't like working there. read more

Clerk very friendly they have a variety of services wich is good u don't have to be driving around.the downside is most of the time there is only 1 clerk and if customers are being difficult I have to wait for them to get everything soarted and that can take a very long time read more

first few times i came here it was great! I got my stuff shipped very quickly, and it took less than 3 minutes, this time around however, there was a problem with the wiring, and the mexican woman employee didn't know which printer was which. So i spent like 15 minutes trying to print a one-sided 8.5 x 11. Then, oh my freaking god, she was having conversations with the people who arrived after me, could not figure out how to type in stuff into the computer for the shipping label, and I don't know what the hell she did about the shipping rate, I asked for a certain one but she replied with another, and at this point I didn't care, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Next time, I'll peek in to see who's working, props to that young lady working on the other occasions I've been there - friendly, capable and quick. read more

I needed a Live Scan on Memorial Day when every other place I called (and I called a ton)o was closed for the Holiday. Nilam answered and said they were open and could take care of me but they were closing soon. It took me longer to get there than I thought it would, but they stayed open past their closing time and waited for me to get there. She and Mahendra were super nice and super fast. When I spoke to Certifix Live Scan they directed me to this Postal Annex location. The worker quoted me between $54-$70, and then charged me $69. They charged a $20 "office" or "rolling" fee for the fingerprinting service. I'm not sure if this is common, but it seems a little overpriced. I'd prefer next time to go to a business with set prices. The employees are nice enough. Im not sure I would recommend this business to anyone, the post office is usually 3x cheaper. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Would give 0 stars if I could. The post office was closed for lunch so I came here for a simple USPS drop off- the clerk told me their policy is to charge $1 for drop offs. Upon telling her I've dropped off at various other locations before and never been charged she said it was their corporate policy. Lies!! While I was annoyed, for expediency sake, I agreed to pay their $1... but then was told it was a $5 minimum charge for credit cards and I didn't have cash. WHAT? I'm obviously not going to pay $5 to ship a prepaid package. Waste of time!! I went to the other Postal Annex location in Santa Clara (which is out of my way) and they did not charge me any fees!! It is clearly not corporate policy- it is a scam the owners of this franchise seem to be running. If you want to run your private franchise charging customers unnecessary fees then at least be honest and admit YOU personally have decided to add fees, do not LIE and say it's corporate policy. My son and I were in town for an event. He needed a document notarized. We pulled up Yelp and searched notaries. Once again the Yelp community steered us to a great location. No need for an appointment, the notary was available. The clerk was polite, efficient and thorough. We were able to fax the document right from PostalAnnex+. Parking can be tough downtown. This location has parking meters located directly in front of the business. We were in and out within 10 minutes. What I thought was going to take up half of our day, turned out to be a quick, super easy errand thanks to PostalAnnex+. read more

Not professional at all. So much inconvenience I experienced today. 1.When I asked where the post office is, they said they are it. I realized they charge the double for their service. 2. I had to put some coins in the meter for parking. 3. The person at the shipping service kept receiving phone calls while he was taking care of my package(that made me wait for about 5 extra min.) 4. He forgot to give me a receipt, so I had to ask for it. 5. He didn't put any postage on my package until I left and when I came back to check if he took it in, it was still on the scale without any postage on it. I asked for canceling the shipment since I couldn't trust their service by that time. He miscalculated the amount he needed to refund and I told him that it wasn't right(he made me pay $9.50 for nothing). He kept insisting he was right for a long time as mentioning my math ability. He wasn't trying to calculate to see if he was wrong but kept saying "I can't believe this" or "you are not doing this to me, right". I felt very embarrassed and angry at his attitude. When I explained why I was right, he apologized and gave me the money back. I won't ever go back there ever. read more
