I ordered a A-Wreck Turkey Breast, Hickory Smoked Ham, Angus Roast Beef, Salami & Swiss With onions tomatoes, pickles & Hot Peppers with oil & red wine vinegar on a Multi-Grain roll! Solid place to grab dinner - we were wanting a good salad and Potbelly has great salad options. Restaurant was spotless and the menu was very easy to read. We ordered an Uptown and a Powerhouse salad. I subbed the blue cheese for feta on the Uptown. Both salads were good, a little light on the chicken, though. The dressing on mine was a vinaigrette that was not my favorite - it was just ok. The young lady that helped us and made our salads was very sweet and friendly - service was very fast. I told the Sandwich guy it was my first time here so I wasn't quite sure what I wanted and Lady putting my fixings on my sandwich looked impatient, I felt like I was rushed. I got the Italian on Wheat Sub Roll. They are stingy with the meat, it was hardly any on there and the bread was chewy. The Mac & Cheese and Chili were ok. The Lemon Cheesecake Cookie was good. Typically my orders go pretty smoothly but the last few have been pretty dismal to say the least. Stood in line for 15 minutes or so (there's something on the cups about if you have to wait over 8 min you get a free cookie...that turned out to be false...) and when we went to order we were informed that they were out of white bread and it would be about 20 minutes until they had more. The bread was stale, there were two pieces of turkey, maybe a half of slice of provolone, almost no lettuce/onions and only half of my sub have the oil and Italian spices...what in the world?! My husbands sub had stale tasting bread, hardly any meat, the thinnest pickle I think I have EVER seen (no really, you could see the tomato through the pickle...) and the mustard was nowhere to be found. Our son got his usual pizza sub and because his bread was super stale he literally scraped everything off and ate it with a fork. I placed an order for pickup and both subs were made wrong. When I called, I was originally told that because it was a bogo, only one could be replaced. After being told to take pictures, which I did, I was told that both would be replaced and she would make note of it. When I went back for the replacements. I waited as the employee and the manager were trying to find a note about my order. When the manager called her assistant manager (who I had originally spoke with) she evidently "kind of remembered talking to someone" and was told that they would only replace 1. I admit that I lost my temper, and raised my voice. I offered to show them the pictures, but they declined. As my subs were being remade, they were basically calling me a liar, saying "who forgot to put cheese on them" and "I don't know how they could be made that wrong". Don't bring in money. The staff doesn't know how to verify real dollars. They rejected both 20's and a 100 dollar bill and could not verify that they were real. I asked them to verify their marker with one of their own real dollar bills and NONE of the staff on duty had a real bill to check with. This is a great little sandwich shop near the BWI airport. The menu is large with a lot of great sand which options. The bread is fresh, sandwich options were a mix of the classic deli faire and some of their own creations. They have a monster kosher dill pickle which is awesome! I also have to say the staff at this particular establishment went above and beyond for my wife and I. My wife left her purse in their store the night before we left on vacation. The employee noticed it and put it in the safe for us to pick up after we got back. Everything was in place! Very thankful for the honest staff!! Crunched for time we ended up here en route to BWI. We went in with no expectations or knowledge as we've never heard of this sandwich chain before. Pleasantly surprised we were! The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, much more so than any other chain fast food joint we've been to. The restaurant, exposed kitchen, and bathroom were all very clean. Everything appeared new. I especially liked that they had a area with books to borrow while you ate, as well as an area to dine outdoors. Our sandwiches were prepared "Subway style" - walking down the line and customizing as they assembled in front of you, so they were made perfectly. Prices were very affordable as well. Overall we were very impressed and would come here again if we stumbled upon another location. So why only 4 stars and not 5? Two reasons; while the food was fresh, it was missing that extra oomph to really take it to the next level. I would have loved a signature sauce, or unusual ingredient. For example I ordered the chicken BLT....a few slices of granny apple would have really made this pop! Secondly aside from price we didn't see that much difference between the size of the original vs the more expensive biggie. We ordered one of each and couldn't visually see it - in size or stuffings.
