    Sardi's Peruvian Chicken. | great packaging to-go!

It glees me to know that Sardi's is a delicious meal for many. My mentee and his little sister requested Sardi's and this location was closest to their home. The service here by Jackie and her team during our visit was delightful. The line on a random weekday was almost out the door and traffic for to-go orders went non stop at this location as I waited in line to order, nearly all the booths and tables taken. Wow. As whole chickens roast over charcoal in view, trays of the side offerings are constantly replenished. The menu board flexes many options with variety of combinations, including family meals. My mentee and his little sister annihilated their meals! Not a brussel sprout was spared and sauces were wiped clean with yucca. I'll need to come back and try out the chicken.

10.17.24 Hubby ordered takeout which consisted of 1/2 chicken with fries and rice and beans as sides. I eat dark and he likes white meat so it works out perfectly for us. Everything was delish although it sucks that dark meat always has less meat. Wish there were a Sardi's closer to us in Columbia. Hubby noted price has gone up since the last time he made a purchase here which has been awhile.

The Half Chicken, green beans, and white rice were fantastic.

I odered my food for delivery thru Door dash. The Half Chicken, green beans, and white rice were fantastic. The chicken was very flavorful, and filling, the greenbeans and onions were very fresh, and the white rice was a great accompaniment to both. I will definately be back again soon.

I believe this is a local maryland chain. This is a Peruvian brassiere. The meat are all cooked on a grill stick over fire. You choose your meat and then the sides. Very chipotle style. I went for a lunch special and chose broccoli and fried plantains with a half a chicken. Chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. The broccoli was steamed all the way through. The plantains were caramelized and sticky. Yum! They also had other desserts but this filled me up! Would come back again!

As good as it was before! It's been weird readjusting to places and how they might have changed during the pandemic. Some have changed to only focus on take out, and have changed their menu completely to go with that; some places have changed their hours; some places have changed nothing; and some places are no longer with us (RIP so many good places). Sardi's is the third category: They really haven't changed anything. There's glass around the counter, and they have social distancing enforced with minimal seating inside, but you still get the same great Sardi's experience: rotisserie chickens, great sides, delicious sauce, and very friendly employees. I got the same as last time, to really be able to compare the experience: half chicken, Brussels sprouts, fried rice. The chicken was still juicy with a delicious herb and spice blend on the skin (all of which was mmmm when dipped into the yellow sauce). The fried rice was pretty normal fried rice, but cooked well. And the Brussels sprouts were soft in the middle with a little bit of crunch on the outside. If you are reading this and haven't gone here yet, I have to ask...why?

The family and I ate at Sardi's in College Park couple years ago and we loved the foods. We finally made it back to Sardi's but at the Glen Burnie location. We went there straight from the airport. We ordered pork chop plate, lamb chop plate, and steak plate. All the meats were juicy, flavourful, and tender. The sides of black beans, white rice, fried rice, plantains, and roasted veggies were excellent. Counter serviceuce was friendly, helpful, and efficient. We enjoyed the lunch so such, we ordered the 1 and half chicken combo meal to go for dinner. The only downer was the prices had gone up significantly since out last visit. We will be back because Sandi's has the best Peruvian chicken and sides that we have ever eaten.

Food is just great. Love the grilled chicken, fried rice, rice pudding, and platanos. Taste of home made in a fast food.

Food is good. Portions are decent. Quick unless you are ordering something other than the charbroiled chicken, then there may be a wait.

You have to be buzzed in and the dining room is literally the size of my living room. Very intimate. The food was superb. Stellar. Outstanding. Truly, each course was delicious, with layers of flavor and unexpected combinations. The ceviche in an intensely limey coconut broth started off the meal and I thought that if everything else sucked I would still be happy. But the dishes kept getting better. I did not anticipate enjoying veal heart skewers, but they were smoky and very reminiscent of good carne asada. The purple corn tamale was a very interesting mix of heavier corn with light ahi tuna. And even the little bowl of plantain chips they bring out first was excellent. This is a set menu, 5 courses on the weekdays and 6 on the weekends, and is a bring your own alcohol set up. As a result, there is almost no interaction with the waitress, and the food just arrives, but it is timed very well, with reasonable periods between courses.

I did not feel rushed until the desert course was served with the check. The variety of the dishes was fun to experience; each course was very different. Puerto 511 does really well with seafood. My favorites courses were the Ceviche Amazonico and the Tamalito Verde. The flavors were incredible. The Pulpo en su Causa was also a very interesting dish. The combination of ingredients and the inclusion of a cold mashed potato component were both innovative. I was disappointed with the other courses, though. The veal was tough, the lamp chop was tough, and the desert was not very flavorful. The quinoa flan and the passionfruit ice cream did not match very well in flavor or texture. The restaurant building itself was ok. The ambiance did not indicate fine dining to me. The service was not very personable. I would like to come back sometime in a different season, when there is a new menu. But overall, I would say Puerto 511 is definitely a dining experience worth trying.
