This location never seems very busy, so there's always plenty of available seating. Well-staffed and very quick when it comes to ordering. Food always tastes great!! My only issue here is how often the menu seems to change lately. Lunchtime- they can not provide four bowls of chili. The manager argues with me that next time I should call in Advance, this is after I attempted to order online and their website kept spinning. When I asked if they prepared backup batches she argued that they were not going to make more and essentially waist it if no customers ordered. This is a restaurant! A place of food service! I went there for lunch and was astounded by how the the shift lead in charge spoke to her employees. When it came time to order my food, the shift lead made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted there. For reference, I ordered a "regular sandwich" and the shift lead basically yelled at me saying "original sandwich". As for the rest of the employees were very kind and hardworking. read more

Vegetable Garden soup was overly mushy--with what seemed like bread cubes in it, which also were pure mush--and little flavor. BLTA came with bacon so peppery that one in our group couldn't finish it. A chocolate shake had almost no chocolate flavor. Even though the food was barely mediocre, I'm even more disappointed with the way Potbellys continue to operate. You give your order verbally to someone who shouts it out to someone else who prepares it. But because no one is actually logging what you're ordering, the preparers keep having to ask follow-up question while you stand there waiting. And then the cashier has to ask you to repeat every detail so they can ring it up accurately. It's inefficient, prone to errors, and questionable customer service. read more

My family and I typically enjoy PB at least twice a week and really walk away satisfied. On this latest visit we were not so lucky. We arrived for dinner there was only one employee behind the counter. He took my brothers order first and sent through followed by my order and then my moms. He then took the order of 3 additional guest behind us all the meanwhile are sandwich's were greeting cold. He then made our orders but didn't make the salads we ordered. At this time 2 more employees came out from the back as there was a line of customers now. Once we tried to pay my bother ask to use his bday treat on PB app. This included any item up to $5. The cashier said this could only be used on a cookie and not any item up to $5 value. We found this odd and confusing. We had to stand and wait for our 3 salads which have yet to be made while others behind us were served. Long story short our sandwich's were awful, cold and bArely edible. The salads finally arrived with no apology and we left. This experience was not worth the $35+ dollars we spent. We still support the brand but will not be visting this particular location again due to poor customer service and lack of proper management. Just wanted to let you know that Potbelly will "respond" to your review by asking you to email them at customerservice@potbelly.com but when you do, no one will actually respond to you. I've emailed them twice and have not received any reply to discuss my concerns. Potbelly doesn't really care about you. So, my advice is to avoid the Geneva location as they are now a "pilot store" trying new things, none of which are good for the customer. Say goodbye to the dream bar and the Clubby. read more

I stayed away from Potbelly because they did not have a skinny version of their sandwiches. The other day I discovered their new app and how easy it is to use it. On the way home from church, we decided to try out the app. We were ten minutes out and placed the order. As I walked in I went to the pick up window and the food was ready and the sandwiches and soup were warm. The staff was welcoming and extremely helpful. I had the order with zero waiting time. I noticed that when I order they have it all set up to use the QR on the app. No credit cards are needed to pay the bill as long as you store the information on the app. The app is protected with a PIN. Gone are the lines when you use the app. They are now more user friendly and conscious of calories. My thanks to you Potbelly. read more

Grabbed the half Mediterranean chicken sandwich with half salad for lunch, made it to my office 15 minutes away and realized they forgot all of the ingredients with flavor! I had asked for all ingredients to be on the sandwich. (Forgot red pepper, cucumber, artichokes, and the oil I requested). I called and they immediately took my phone call, kindly apologized, then delivered me a full size sandwich at no cost! I like Potbelly, but one time I found a bug in my sandwich and it kind of grossed me out. I think it just flew in there, it wasn't a roach or anything, but I wish the help would have seen it before wrapping up my sandwich. I kind of don't like that most of the sandwiches are the same price. The pizza sub is just like sauce, a couple slices of peperoni, and cheese (not very much of it at that) on bread and it was the same price as my bf's meaty sandwich. I've never been a fan of Potbelly in general it doesn't matter the location they all are the same when it comes to quality, service and cleanliness (atmosphere). When I lived in the city it was the same thing. As for the comments I'll keep to my glorious visit to the Geneva location 1. Dirty...very dirty. Where I was sitting in a booth there was garbage and crumbs in nooks and crannies and all over the floor. And just to top it off the tables are extra sticky for your pleasure. 2. Customer service is horrible. Instead of cleaning the restaurant more of the associates were socializing...with thier friends coming in or to each other. 3. The bathroom is disgusting. Nothing further. 4. The quality of the sandwich is Ok nothing to write home about...these are sandwiches I can make at home. In a cleaner enviornement. 5. Did I mention how dirty the place is.... I would pass on this location there are better options nearby to go to. read more

Pot Belly sent me a notice on e-mail that they had a buy one, get one free promotion. We went to the restaurant, waited in a long line to have them tell us they didn't know anything about a promotion. As a matter of fact they were rude and embarrassed my wife and I in front of other customers. I've been a good customer at this store. We loved the sandwiches. But not anymore. I tried contacting the owner and no one returned my call. I sent a e-mail to the main office without hearing anything back from them in over three weeks. I'm done with Pot Belly. We stopped into this Potbelly's on Saturday (10/3/09) and had no idea that they now do salads. My mom & dad had the Italian salads which were greens topped with cut up meats that they use on their normal Italian Sub sandwiches. They had the buttermilk ranch dressing and were happy bunnies. MK had the 'wreck' and I the regular Italian. What does lack is a wider selection for kids. We did get the PB&J for Aidan but it comes on normal sub-sandwich bread, which he wasn't too hot about. The employees here are amazing. I came in for lunch, having a really awful day at work and the smiling faces and kindness extended left me smiling. I like Potbellys and generally this location but went today close to closing time. Don't do that. I know how employees feel about that so ordered take out. Didn't check the sandwiches before leaving. I was just reading the reviews and Liz's review in February could easily have been mine!!! We like Potbelly! We usually frequent a different location, but stopped in here as it was in The Commons. We arrived about 1:40...so after the Saturday lunch rush. We waited a few minutes to be asked what sort of sandwich we wanted, as the teens behind the counter were too busy deciding who was going to go "get a drink". I noticed that the soup container has so much caked on spillage on the outside, I was a little worried about what was on the inside. We paid, again having to wait, as the teens were too busy chit chatting in front of us. tried to find a table that wasn't littered with crumbs, paper or lettuce. Upon our departure, could only find one trash container (by the door) and it was literally spilling out and onto the floor. It was nasty. As for the washroom, my 10 year old high tailed it back and claimed "she didn't have to go". Potbelly....take a day off and deep clean that place. I always come here because it is close To my work. I am always satisfied. Today I forgot my wallet and I ran back to work to grab my card. The nice gentleman at the register ran after me to tell me that it was a complimentary sandwich. I was surprised and I could not believe the excellent customer service.
