While our server was nice and friendly, he didn't come around often, and seemed stretched. He may have just gotten sat a lot, so I think closer to 4.5 starts for him. The food was pretty good, but I would say it was better at their flagship location. But Wahlburgers at its worse is still better than a lot of places. I was coming from a winery and spotted a Wahlburgers. I was hungry so I turned into the parking lot and walked inside. OMG the decor of this place is magnificent. When you walk inside there is a wall of shirts and other merchandise to purchase. Great place to dine and take cool photos. I was greeted by a nice young gentleman. I was giving a menu to look over. I ordered the crispy ranch chicken sandwich with fries. The food was freshly cooked and well seasoned. Good quality taste and prices are very reasonable. There is a bar that serves cocktails. A great chill dine in spot. Nice selection of music playing. The service is top notch. Everyone was friendly. A nice place to come and visit if your passing through St. Charles IL. It's been a while since I last dined at this Wahlburgers, and honestly, my previous experience was pleasant, but I think the reason why was because it was pricey. This was my husband's first time at Wahlburgers, and unfortunately, he didn't find it as pleasant as I did. He found his burger way too greasy and overpriced. As for me, I enjoyed my burger--and my puppy enjoyed his side of whipped cream that my server so kindly brought to my dog. Yes, prices were on the higher side, but my experience was positive overall. So my lovely wife owns a New Kids on the Block t-shirt, and she has pals who are huge fans of NKOTB. She told me months ago to mark down in my calendar an excursion to Wahlburgers in suburban St. Charles. That day finally arrived this past Saturday. Wahlburgers is part of the empire led by the Wahlbergs of acting-music-entrepreneurship fame. My love's friend was celebrating a milestone event with her husband and invited us to a VIP dinner outing. All participants at our table received fun swag, and the host of our party received a free dessert and special t-shirt as well. I was surprised that the restaurant was relatively sedate for a Saturday evening, but that allowed us free rein to capture the multitude of photo opportunities. The service was spot on throughout the evening - we sure felt like VIP's! Hey the food was good too. My love enjoyed the Our Burger, and I likewise enjoyed the Double Decker (basically the Our Burger but with two patties rather than one). Each of these burgers featured "government cheese" (that's an odd designation) but the burgers were certainly yummy. Burgers include a side - we shared tater tots and onion strings. Wahlburgers has been on my list to try and what a fun, fast casual dining spot. The main entrance has a mix of photo opportunities, merch, and host stand to be seated at a table. The entire restaurant has Wahlberg memorabilia and even Mark & Donnie booths showing some of their highlighted accomplishments. Our server Cowan was an absolutely hoot! We loved his uplifting spirit, hearing the fun stories, and he egged us on to experience the whole restaurant. We started with the Tot Flight (cheesy bacon, chili cheese, southwest bbq) which was so delicious. We enjoyed how crispy the tots were and we both enjoyed a different flavor most. Our mains were the Our Burger but shared one side of fries and one side of bacon mac and cheese. Everything was cooked perfectly; we loved that you could request your burger cook/preparation preference. Prices overall were fair compared to others in the area. Our server was the only thing that was good about this place. We should've just looked at the empty place and left, what a waste of money. We had chicken tenders w some kind of chili sauce and they were ok, menu said they came w ranch and we had to ask for it. The presentation was sloppy at best. We had a double cheeseburger and truffle fries. The burger was meh at the very best. No seasoning on the patties, tomatoes were over a half inch thick... the bun, however, was nicely toasted. The truffle fries were a disaster. I know they're tossed in truffle oil after being fried... but these were bathed in it. They were wet and dripping with oil... I ate one fry (just... in case?) and my partner took a bite of one. They were soooo oily and gross. Our server never came to see if we were happy (which... whatever, it happens), but at the end she noticed we had only eaten most of the burger (we were hungry), but only a little chicken and basically no fries. The service at Wahlburgers was excellent. Our server was such a sweetie. She was patient and attentive the whole time. They had an issue pouring a draft beer I selected, so I decided on a different one, but the server eventually brought me a small free sample of the one I originally wanted, which was thoughtful. We were in a group for a party at the VIP table reserved by a friend who lives in another state and really looked forward to the experience to celebrate a special occasion. Since there was seemingly not a reservation for the table after our allotted 90 minutes, we were not rushed out, which was appreciated by our chatty group. My husband and I did burgers with the thin crispy onion rings (me) and tots (my husband). The food was all really great. The decor is definitely attractive to a NKOTB fan to look over. There are some fun photo backdrops as well. On the Saturday night we were there, it was not busy at all, so we could look around without bothering other patrons. The whole restaurant is exceptionally clean and organized. I think anyone can appreciate the pub fare here, even if they are not a NKOTB fan. One note I have is that I think the value of doing the VIP table is going to be worth it to some and not worth it to others. I mean no shade to the establishment, but the swag is not all that exciting, although I think our host did get an autographed shirt. The guests got plain beads, a VIP pass lanyard, a small logo pin and a plastic cup. The dessert to share is not for the table, which I was surprised by, given a host pays for the VIP table for a party for up to 8 people. Worth noting, I did appreciate we could easily split checks. My sister and I were running errands on a Saturday afternoon. It was around 1:30pm. And we stopped in Wahlburgers. Neither of us had never been. There was our table of two, a small family in the booth in front and in back of us and one other couple at a table. Pros: had gluten free option for my sister Food was okay -we both ordered burgers. They really lacked flavor but they were not awful. OUR waitress seemed to be the only one working that day and she did well. Con: bathroom dirty, papers on floor, overall grimy. Other employees including the manager just milled about doing nothing. The mains floors needed sweeping and picking up. The employees were just gathered doing nothing but talking. I've worked in a restaurant- there is always something to be done and there was definitely cleaning that could have been happening. Terrible experience with my pickup order. Won't be returning. I placed an order at Wahlburgers for pickup and was extremely disappointed with how everything was handled. I ordered a Double Decker with fries, 3 kids' mac and cheese meals (each with fries), and the Salmon Street Corn Salad. When I picked up my order, all of the fries were missing--4 orders total. I had to wait an extra 20 minutes just to get the fries. While I waited, I checked the rest of my order and realized they also shorted me one of the kids' mac and cheese meals. They eventually brought out the fries, and I had to remind them again about the missing mac and cheese. When I finally got everything and headed home, I discovered they hadn't included the dressing for the salad either. At that point, everything was cold from all the waiting and back-and-forth--and it still wasn't fully right. I called the restaurant to share my frustration, and the manager, Mike, said the order had been handled by one of the owners (someone named Sue) and that he'd call her and get back to me. Surprise: no one ever called me back. Just a frustrating, poorly handled experience from start to finish. If you choose to eat here, double check your order before you leave. If you're a fan of any of the Wahlburgs or grew up with New Kids on the Block as your first favorite boyband like me, you'll have fun reminiscing and looking at all the memorabilia here. After being opened for a while,I finally got to try Wahlburgers. Located at a busy intersection in St.Charles,went on a Tuesday night. Not very crowded and they close at 800pm. Lots of memorabilia thru out but was surprised they were just playing New Kids on the Block music. Wanted to try their house beer Wahlbrewski but they were out of it.Maybe next time Ordered the famous Our Burger which was a beef burger with cheddar cheese,lettuce,tomotaie and onion on a fantastic bun. I skipped the secret sauce. Comes with either fries,tots,onion straws or a salad. Fries were cooked to perfection but a little too salty. I've only been to the Wahlburgers in Vegas, so I was excited to finally make it out to this location. I met a couple of friends who were first-timers, and they enjoyed the experience as well. I had the Our burger which was good. I forgot what kind of burger my friend had. I do recall that he liked the food. Another friend of ours joined us later and only had a corona. I also ordered the brownie sundae which was huge!! Unfortunately, it wasn't very good, though. Skip the dessert. The ambiance was warm and comfortable. It was quiet, and there was a nice mix of people of all ages. I believe our waitress was named Deb. She was friendly and polite. She gave us a warm welcome when she learned that we were all first-timers. I had wanted to try a cocktail that I'd seen on the Wahlburgers website, but Deb said they didn't have it. That was a bummer, but I got over it. As a longtime NKOTB fan, it was cool to look at all the memorabilia adorning the walls. When their app and website both don't allow placing an order in advance, it's extremely frustrating to have to place the order in person and have them under quote how long it will take for the food to be ready (quote: 10-15 minutes; actual: 18 minutes). Came on a Monday at around 11:30 , the restaurant was not busy. We were seated immediately.. I had never been to a Wahlburgers before and I had thought it was place where you go to the counter ,order , get your food and find a spot. It was clean and comfortable in side .. had a special going an 'our Burger' and fries for $7 basically 1/2 off .. it was very good ... Fresh toppings and well seasoned beef the fries were alright. Well worth the Cost got some fried pickles that were excellent as well and a couple sides of Slaw which was pretty good as well. The staff was attentive and friendly. After a few years of my first review, I decided to return to Wahlburger and try the food as fresh as possible. I arrived for lunch. The location was easy to find with plenty of parking spots. The place was clean and was introduced right away upon entering the door. For an appetizer, I ordered the Cheese curds. They arrived fairly quickly and were very good. Golden brown and crispy with melty cheese. It arrived with a side of ranch and another small serving of possible BBQ sauce. The other sauce was a little odd as if it was accidently poured out but realized their mistake. However, they still gave it away. Either way, it looked freshly portioned so I happily ate it For my meal, I ordered the Fiesta burger with a side of tots. The tots were also golden brown and crispy. The burger was delicious with almost zero spice. However, I can't dock for that since my tolerance is high. It was very messy which is what makes a good burger. Our server was amazing and attentive. He was friendly and gave top-notch service. Wahlburger does get one negative... their main website shows a menu of truffle fries which we did not see here. Overall, the food was delicious. This was my first time here and I had amazing experience. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I believe it was Lisa who was our server (I hope I got her name right) but she made the best milkshake for us. I've never finished a milkshake so fast lol. The skrewball gave it a hint of peanut butter taste which made it even better. The salmon salad with street corn was amazing and i don't know anywhere else you can get a salad like that but they paired so well together. Sliders were so good too! It's a good choice when you wanna try everything. All the sliders tasted amazing, but my favorite was the meatball slider cuz of how soft and a little sweet it tasted. I hope they can put a meatball sandwich on the menu cuz I would get that. Definitely worth the drive, affordable, and will love to come back! The Missus and I shared a fried pickle app. Crispy, yes, but rather salty, and beneath the disks was a pool of oil. The "Our Burger" was much smaller than I anticipated and blatantly overpriced. Whatever flavor the beef patty might have had apart from saltiness was overpowered by a bitter/sour combination of pickle+raw onion+Wahl Sauce (the latter's ingredients read like a witches' brew). We much prefer the thick, juicy pub-style burgers at Kuma's or Lucky Monk. Like the fried pickles, the accompanying side of onion straws was crisp but salty and oily. We were in the area delivering an Avon order and we were so excited to see Wahlburgers pop up as a Yelp suggestion! This is our first time here! We have always been fans of the Wahlberg family, so I was very excited to see all the fun decor (NKOTB dolls awards and more!!) The restaurant is very clean and our waiter Sebastian was very professional and answered all our questions! We split the Chili as an appetizer and it was so yummy! I love Wahl sauce, it is not too sweet and really elevates the taste of the chili (you can buy a bottle to take home) My husband ordered the Bacon BBQ burger (Donnie's pick) and a side of Tots. He was very impressed with it. We both like our burgers prepared medium rare and both of our burgers were cooked to perfection! I ordered the double burger and even though it was messy and drippy, it stayed together! I did not put it down because it was so juicy (I was afraid I would not be able to pick it up again.) The bun held up great and everything stayed in place (the bun never got soggy either)! The texture and flavor were perfect! There is a cute little gift shop area where you enter and exit the restaurant and a cute area with wallpaper to take photos. I love that the bathrooms are named Jenny and Donnie so cute! There is a fold down baby changing station in the handicapped stall in the bathroom and lots of high chairs available, so this is a family friendly restaurant. This St. C. location is definitely a Blockhead mecca! (Blockheads are NKOTB fans, if you don't know.) So happy I was finally able to experience this! As a fan, I've dined at several Wahlburgers locations. HANDS-DOWN, this location is THE absolute best when it comes to food quality. I had the Donnie's choice burger and holy crap! The thickness, how to was coated in cheese, that perfectly toasted bun! So fab! George C. tried the fried haddock fish sandwich. And wow! It's a stunner! And that balsamic tarter sauce is amaze. BEWARE!!!! SCREW FOUND IN PATTY MELT! This was my 2nd visit to the St. Charles location and my friend's first time. I ordered the patty melt and when it arrived, both halves of the sandwich were closed towards each other making a square. I turned half of the sandwich open so that I could take a picture because I always take pictures of food and upload them on my social media. After I finished taking my photos, I grabbed the half on the left side and was about to take a bite until I saw a huge, silver screw in the middle of the patty melt with cheese covering it. I immediately brought it to the manager and she was shocked and said that she would make a new one and take care of it. The new one came and I was hesitant to eat it and was carefully inspecting each bite as I was scared something else was going to be in there. The manager apologized and comped our meals but it was still very unsettling to find that in there. I asked her if the patties were made in house and she said they were made elsewhere but she didn't know where and would find out. If I wouldn't have turned the half of the sandwich open to take my photos, I wouldn't have seen it and would've found it while taking a bite and could've broken a tooth or choked on it!!!!!! read more
