    Wisconsin omelet
    Lynn M.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We walked in to a bright, cheery brunch spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was helpful explaining some of the dishes. The Wisconsin omelet was filled with meat and very tasty. The only downfall is that I wish it had more cheese!! It is called the Wisconsin Omelet after all! The key lime and blueberry French toast was a sweet treat! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, great food and nice atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My new favorite meal here: Two eggs scrambled with cheese, great ratios so delicious. Bacon. Fruit as the side, I love that the fruit was strawberries, grapes, blueberries, and kiwi. I feel like most restaurants give melon which I'm not a fan of. Instead of toast I upgraded it to a half order of French toast. It was so delicious! $15 - very reasonable. $6 kids meal included chicken quesadilla, milk, and fruit. My son loved it. I appreciate the affordable kids meal!

Driving by the area after a game and decided to try this place out. They have parking in the back and on the side a bit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outdoor seating or inside as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat inside very clean nice decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The chairs are torn up a bit but no biggie.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a lot of great choices on the menu. Didn't know what to get. We got el padre bowl, 3 leches French toast, biscuits and gravy with over easy egg, and a Cuban sandwich. El padre bowl was so delicious it had the right amount of heat and lot of meat. The onion with the pepper and egg mixed was a great flavor. This is my new go to dish I highly recommend it. The tres leaches French toast was very good my son loved them. The biscuits and gravy with over easy egg was delicious as well the gravy was different and so delicious and the biscuits were very fluffy. I got the Cuban sandwich and I enjoyed it was very tasty and overall this is my new favorite breakfast place. Almost forgot the staff is very attentive and super nice.

One of my favorite breakfast spots. Good friendly service. Food is always great. My favorite is the chilaquelas. This visit, my daughter had the breakfast burrito, which was awesome as well. Portions are generous. Meal isn't fast, but if I have time to go out for breakfast, I don't want it to be. Highly recommend.

    Florentine Benedict
    Kelli A.

I took my husband here for the first time for brunch and we can't wait to come back and work our way through the menu. My Florentine Benedict egg was perfectly poached and the hollandaise spot on; and my husband's biscuits and gravy, rich and flavored with bacon as well as sausage. My grapefruit/hibiscus mimosa--loved it. And the lingonberry pancakes were a taste of my childhood. The environment was casual and friendly with a little cozy-industrial vibe. Can't wait to go back!

First time trying Nosh, and we were pleased. We ordered carry out and were happy with the temperature and portions of our food. Love supporting local and will order from here again. PROS: Local restaurant Fun atmosphere (observed while picking up food) Quick pickup. Ordered at 8am and picked up 10 minutes later. Avocado toast and beignets were unique/tasty and would order again. CONS: Limited menu Garden omelet and brunch burrito were average. Herb potatoes could have been crispier.

Delish food and fast & friendly service. Good location with ample parking. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday around 1pm. Based on other reviews, I thought there'd be a wait, but we must've missed the lunch rush. I had the Cuban sandwich with seasoned fries, and my friend had an omelette with potatoes. Food was out within 10-15 mins, if that. The sandwich had AWESOME flavor, one of the best Cubans I've ever had. The seasoned fries could've used a bit more seasoning.

Did they change the menu since relocating? I no longer see my favorite Puerto Rican breakfast any longer on the menu. 🤔😭

We have made some changes to the menu, but you may be thinking of our Costa Rican breakfast and we still have that! And it’s as delicious as ever!

Do they have chocolate chip pancakes? For kids of all ages?

I informed our server that I have celiac disease, and she was helpful in confirming that the cocktails were gluten-free. I ordered the Pineapple Express sangria, and it was absolutely delicious. When it comes to the food, most items on the menu can actually be made gluten-free, but they aren't marked on the menu and they do not offer a separate gluten-free menu. Our server did let us know right away that they were out of three of their entree items. For my meal, I started with the gluten-free soup which comes with gluten-free noodles, and it was really good. However, I didn't really like any of the remaining entrees they had left available, so I decided to order sides instead. The server mentioned that most of the sides are or can be made gluten-free. I chose the creamy mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts, specifically requesting the sprouts without croutons. When the food arrived, the brussel sprouts unfortunately had croutons on them. I pointed it out to the server, and she immediately said she would have them remade for me. While I am very glad I caught the mistake before eating them, it is something to watch out for. Overall, the experience was mediocre.

They also changed up their cocktail menu, and we were super excited to see they had some new summer drinks. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants in the area. It's perfect for special occasions and date nights. The first two times we came we sat at the bar, but we came right when they opened and were able to be seated at a table. I love the candlesticks they have lit at the tables. There's a a view of the kitchen as well. To drink, I had the Dip in the Backyard Kiddie Pool (very refreshing) and Fresa Fresca (basically a strawberry margarita and it was super refreshing and tasted like strawberry juice). For dessert, we shared the oreo carjillo. It was pretty strong to me, but it definitely tasted like Oreos and milk! To eat as an appetizer, they gave us complimentary bread and butter and we ordered the sundried tomato oil to go along with it (a must). Their bread is so soft and fresh. We also got the bone marrow (forgot to get a photo), and it was some of the best we've had!! For our entrees, we got the two pasta dishes. They called them "small plates" but it was the perfect amount of food for us with our appetizers. I had the spicy carrot rigatoni pasta and it was super fresh. I love that they cooked the pasta al dente.

We loved everything about The Graceful Ordinary from the ambience to the amazing service (thanks Karen!) to the creative cocktails to the delicious food. When we arrived at the table, there was an anniversary card from the staff. Nice touch! We were brought a loaf of the warm housemade bread with whipped butter to begin. Hubby ordered the Having a Moment bourbon cocktail, and I had the Honey Kiss vodka and elderflower cocktail. Love their creative cocktail list. Karen was a fabulous server, so attentive and friendly. The other staff was on top of everything from water being refilled to clearing dirty dishes and even fresh butter brought to the table when it was low. Our needs were met before we even needed to ask. Also, since Karen knew that we were splitting all the courses, she automatically had the food split between two plates. I liked that. We decided to split everything we ordered. We started with the smoked salmon deviled eggs which were creamy delicious, not to mention beautifully presented. Our second starter was the bone marrow with caramelized shallots. This dish was absolutely amazing. My only critique would be to put four pieces of bread on the plate went two people are sharing. Our next course was a salad and we went with the roasted beet salad with blue cheese and sunflower shoots dressed in a warm bacon vinaigrette. Bacon - need I say more? Our main course was the walleye with ricotta gnudi, fava beans, peas and wild mushrooms. So many flavors and textures going on. The fish was perfectly seared and moist. Delectable. We thought about dessert but we were so full from dinner that we passed. Karen wouldn't let us go without a complimentary dessert in honor of our anniversary to enjoy at home, their signature butterscotch pot de crème with sea salt caramel. The Graceful Ordinary certainly made our anniversary special with the anniversary card at the table, and the complementary dessert. If you're in the western Chicago burbs, I highly recommend checking this restaurant out.

The Birria egg rolls were a bit on the smaller side but made a big impression with its preparation. I've never had birria wrapped in anything as crispy as the wonton wrapper this was wrapped in. The birria was flavorful while being tender and not being too salty. The white cheddar and chihuahua cheese added a small amount of extra saltiness and a bit more fat, which matched well with the chipotle aiola. The duck poutine was incredibly flavorful, while sitting on the edge of potentially being too bold. The fries were incredibly crispy though there was quite a bit of gravy on the dish and the white cheddar cheese curds did a great job of keeping the entire dish hot throughout the meal, while adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bacon and onion added some umami though it almost made the dish a bit too salty and the duck confit added a nice protein element. Overall a little pricey, but given the more unique menu and quality of both the flavors and textures, it's worth the premium. The food here is definitely memorable and in line with excellent options available in Geneva.

Our waitress was so wonderful to start, she was attentive and offered some suggestions. We were taking some time to catch up, but we did order a few appetizers. This is when things took a strange turn... Our entrees started coming out, but the guys running the food didn't make any effort to clear our table or get boxes for our appetizer leftovers. So we had no choice but to put our empty plates on the table next to us - there truly wasn't any room and one guy giggled when I asked if he would take our appetizer plates. Our waitress came by shortly after and I said we asked for boxes and our plates to be cleared so we had room. She said she'd take care of it, which she did. After that, she was much less attentive. Finally, when it came to dessert... I asked for a recommendation, but unfortunately I was the only one who wanted a dessert at my table. I asked about taking it home, she told me the mason jar dessert couldn't be taken home and the others wouldn't last. I said okay forget it then. So no dessert was had and we were all VERY confused why our dinner went from stellar service to straight down the toilet. At least the food was good... I might stick to Hardware.
