I tried the limited-time Fiery Island Chicken sandwich and thought it was very good overall. It had plenty of spice and great flavor. I'm not someone who likes a lot of sauce on a sandwich, sub, or hoagie, and this one was a little over-sauced for me--almost enough to make you wonder what they were trying to cover up. A lighter hand with the sauce would have made it even better. My bigger issue was the mobile-order pickup process. The order was ready when we arrived, but the designated pickup area was completely empty because all the mobile orders were being kept behind the counter. That meant I couldn't simply grab my order and go; I had to wait for a break in the regular line, give an employee my name, and have him retrieve it. I understand they may be dealing with people taking the wrong orders or stealing them, but that defeats much of the purpose of ordering ahead. If the pickup shelves are no longer going to be used, they should move the furniture out of the doorway. Right now, it provides no benefit and is simply an obstacle. Otherwise, the restaurant was clean, the sandwich was good, and the staff had the order ready. Leesburg was unusually busy for a Friday, so that may have contributed. I would eat here again--I'd just ask for less sauce and hope they improve the mobile-pickup setup. read more

Not sure why all the negative reviews; but it does appear that they've cleaned up their mistakes and improved their efficiency. This is evidenced through the online/app ordering as I've ordered from this location that way a few times and was pleased to see my order ready and accurate. The Turkey Sandwich is my go to with all the fixings/trimmings. Sometimes a potbelly's can get the order inaccurate but this location did it just right. The wreck is also a popular sandwich and very filling. I've got to try their newer ones (corned beef, cubano, etc.) which I will someday. I have been going to Potbelly for as long as I can remember. I'm excited this one opened, because it's much closer than the other ones. We went shortly after it opened, and no surprise it was very crowded, and the wait was quite long. Of course it was still worth it. My personal favorite is the toasted, chicken, cheddar, on flat bread. Also just so you know, the mustard is honey mustard not the American Yellow mustard. Even though they're known for sandwiches, Potbelly is a fantastic place for a treat. I highly recommend the Oreo milkshake or a delicious, soft, or a fresh Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Ordered lunch from this location with a coworker. 2 half soups, a half sandwich, and a half salad between the two of us and we were happy with it all-around. However, I have a complaint about Potbelly's menu/pricing in general. Is this passed on to corporate, and/or can it be? One of my items was a "Loaded baked potato soup". What makes a baked potato "loaded"? A reasonable person would likely conclude that bacon bits, shredded cheddar cheese, and onions are staples on a loaded baked potato, much like how bacon, lettuce, and tomato would come standard on a "BLT". This is not the case with Potbelly's loaded baked potato soup. The customer is *charged* for each topping as if they aren't standard on a loaded baked potato. I see two logical options to address this: 1. Change the name to "baked potato soup" and continue nickel & diming customers for toppings, or 2. Stop nickel-and-diming customers - for the portions of these toppings are so minimal that it is pitiful to charge as such. read more

I was so excited that this location opened up so I didn't have to drive to Ashburn for my potbelly craving. Unfortunately, it was not up to par with the ashburn location. Normally it's a quick stop if I'm taking something to go but what should have taken "8 minutes" like they have posted behind their cash wrap, it took about 20 minutes. A nice girl asked how I was doing and what I would like to order. I ordered a big pizza sandwich on white bread and a big Italian on white bread. She shared with me that they ran out of the big white bread. HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF BREAD, you're a sandwich shop!? I told the girl that I was going to wait and call my husband to see if he wanted wheat instead but a few minutes later a nice young man stepped out and shared that he found a box of the white big and that he can defrost it. I asked how long and he said five minutes. Ten minutes later I go back up to place my order and the bread is still frozen. I thanked him for trying and that I would just order the regular size white. Long story short, my order was made wrong and another woman had to make the correct one. After this long experience I don't think I will return to this location.
