We were pleasantly greeted by Dolce who in noticing the bussers were behind, personally cleared a table for us. We were seated in Gracie's section and were treated as royalty. Gracie needs to TEACH customer service! She patiently answered my guests' (broken English) questions without missing a beat. I go in expecting for a cool place during the summer to relax and eat my food instead I'm greeted by a disgusting heat making me sweat while I eat if I could give this horrendous place a zero I definitely would. Nice atmosphere, great waiter (James D), gave us some menu suggestions and they were delicious! My husband ordered the chicken pot pie and I had the salmon over sautéd veggies and mashed potatoes which had wasabi in them to give a little kick! Hot fresh coffee served with a little jug of cream. We also tried a soft pretzel for an appetizer that came with kicking mustard (opened our sinuses) and pimento cheese. First time here. We had a party of 4. Food in general was good except that I ordered a burger medium well and it definitely came out very pink the whole way though so they gave me a medium burger. I also ordered a side of ranch that was oddly flavorless. Don't know what it was but it tasted nothing like ranch and more like sour cream - just kinda blah. My SO loved his burger and the sweet potato fries. Other members in the party enjoyed their burger and jambalaya. One very odd things that the booths are a tight fit for 4 large adults. Our legs and feet were hitting one another under the table and the support stands for the table take up most of the space underneath. It's very poorly designed if you are sitting 4 grown adults to a booth. Purses had to go on floor or window sill to squeeze out a smidgen more room. Unsure why it's so tight ‍ We will come back as there are a few other items on the menu we want to try but plan to ask for a table and not a booth next time. read more

My wife and I had dinner there on 11/24/2025. My wife had a burger, it was perfectly cooked but not seasoned very well. Fries were decent. She also had the French onion soup which she really liked. I had the Jambalaya. It wasn't the worst the Jambalaya I've ever had. Overall I would say it was just average. Sauce was ok. The sauce needed some pop. The dish had plenty of meat. The shrimp was overcooked. The chicken was rubbery. The cod was overcooked. Overall the dish wasn't horrible but the shrimp, chicken and the cod were a little disappointing. Our server was not very attentive. The restaurant was not overly busy. Our server was also tending bar. The bar was not very busy. During the meal, the server looked at me from the bar, I raised my glass of ginger ale to indicate it was empty. She stood around for 3 - 5 minutes before coming to our table. My gf and I have eaten here a couple of times after church and it's a solid spot. We love to start with the giant pretzel. It's a solid pretzel that's nice and soft. I personally like the mustard with it. I ordered the blueberry compote pancakes on this most recent visit and I loved it! The pancakes were huge and fluffy and the blueberry compote on top was a perfect addition. They also had a solid bacon here. My gf ordered the steak Cobb salad and I would definitely come back for that. It was the perfect balance of flavors. The service here is friendly and quick. We selected LPH based on good Yelp reviews and convenience on this particular Sunday. It was a great experience! We arrived for an early lunch and received excellent service from "James!" We especially appreciated him sharing personal recommendations and allowing us to taste a couple of beers before ordering. I had the shrimp tacos, which were phenomenal! Fresh shrimp with a hearty pico/guacamole mix. Three tacos was a good lunch for me. For my side, I got the maple roasted vegetables which were as delicious as James promised. Not bad! The pretzel wasn't as fluffy as expected. It was very crispy and had more thin parts to it. The pimento cheese was delicious! But the spicy mustard I wasn't a fan of. It was strong in the vinegar and smelled like maybe horseradish. For our entrees we ordered the burger of the week it was an Italian inspired version. I got the Cobb salad but instead of shrimp I substituted salmon. Lastly, we got the soufflé chocolate cake. Similar to a lava cake, but just super fluffy bread. The ice cream has to be added to it, it doesn't come with. The service was good! The food didn't take forever to come out. Overall, it wasn't bad but wasn't anything special. It was my first time at the Leesburg Public House, the service was more than exceptional, it was great. I would come back just for that alone. It was a quiet Sunday night but I think the rain was part of it. Overall it was not loud and the overall atmosphere was warm and spaced out well you could have a conversation with those around you. Leesburg Public House came to my attention when Yelp friend Heather R. wrote a review of it. I then bookmarked the place. We got there on a Saturday around 4:30 and were surprised, considering the hour of the day, just how many people were there---not only at the bar but in the dining room. Still, we were greeted and seated as there were still a good number of available tables. Our server was prompt getting to us. Having looked at the menu online before coming here, we both knew what we wanted for an appetizer and our main courses. It was just a matter of figuring out what we wanted to drink. For my drink, the "LPH espresso martini" caught my eye. It consists of: "Van Gogh double espresso vodka, Frangelico, Kahlua, vanilla vodka, Bailey's Irish cream and coffee". This was a decent drink even though the coffee was the dominant flavor. My husband had a Coors Light. For our appetizer, my husband had his eye on the "warm jumbo pretzel". I would have preferred to try the popcorn but...that's for next time. The pretzel was huge---plenty for the two of us. It came with "homemade pimento cheese" and "spicy beer mustard". The pretzel was nicely salted and chewy. The homemade pimento cheese was mildly flavored and creamy while the spicy beer mustard had some tanginess and kick to it. My main course choice was "Lacquered Salmon" which consists of: "Wasabi whipped potatoes, stir fry vegetables, sweet soy glaze, pickled ginger". I enjoyed this dish. The salmon was moist and flaky and the sweet soy glaze was mild. I would have liked to have had a little more of it on the salmon. The wasabi whipped potatoes weren't very strongly flavored, which was a good thing. Had it been too strong, it would have taken over the entire meal. Yet, after having a forkful of it, I noticed that it left behind a lingering taste of wasabi. My husband tasted them and he, unlike me, thought there should have been more wasabi. The stir fry veggies were a mix of red and yellow peppers, red onions and pea pods. They all had some crunch to them, which I liked. The pickled ginger portion was generous and a nice touch. My husband's main course choice was "Seared blackened scallops". This dish consists of: "Aged cheddar stone ground grits, French beans and smoked maple glazed pork belly, Burgundy balsamic reduction". He liked the crunchiness of the green beans but he found the grits to be odd---only because he never had coarsely ground grits. I tasted some of his and noted that the aged cheddar was judiciously used so it didn't overpower the other ingredients. He said that the scallops were cooked to perfection and the blackened flavoring was there but, again judiciously used. The balsamic reduction gave some moisture to the scallops and the grits. The pork belly pieces were very small as in blink and you will miss them. I tried some and, yes, you could pick up on the flavor but they were a bit on the tough side. Overall, he did enjoy his dish. One thing to note --- they apparently change up the menu from time to time and from what I can see, they do keep their online menu updated to reflect any changes The ambience in the place gives off the vibe of a neighborhood hangout. Service from start to finish was excellent. Glad to see that Leesburg Public has hung in there as this building housed other restaurants in the past that didn't make it. You know I always enjoy this place but the other night I watched the bartender clean the floor with a bar rag and then put it on top of the dishwasher and then wipe off the countertops they didn't wash their hands and proceeded to make drinks and squeeze lemons and limes into drinks. Totally filthy someone needs to school staff on hygienic practices. disgusting no brains, Sunship prevail and Management should be aware what happens in the kitchen. I can't tell. I'm sure there are issues but at least I don't see it. read more

We've lived in the area for years but only recently decided to try this restaurant after our friends raved about it. It was just my husband and I on a rare Friday night date night. The outside of the restaurant is nothing spectacular. In fact, the curb appeal is definitely lacking. However, inside is a different story! The atmosphere was great with a bar area that has seating/tables around and then more booths and tables around the outside walls. One of the bartenders was our server (even though we were not seated AT the bar) and he was great, pleasant, personable, and attentive. We were only drinking water but he made sure to fill them regularly. We were impressed that he could be so attentive considering the bar also had all the seats full. We ordered the bacon popcorn to start and I also had the LPH salad (side salad) to start. The popcorn was hot and fresh and the bacon crumbles and bacon grease gave it a nice flavor. The serving could easily feed four or more people. It was good. But it's still just popcorn. So not really a huge wow factor. The salad with the white balsamic vinaigrette that comes on it was really good. And a good size for a starter salad. For our meals my husband got the fish and chips and I had the Carpenti Chicken Alfredo. It was all fantastic! Homemade fettuccini noodles and the chicken on the pasta was sliced thinly so you could enjoy a perfect sized bite. The fish and chips were hot and flavorful and the fries were tasty. My husband turned down the malt vinegar but they would have been the bomb with some vinegar on them! What really stood out to us at this visit was the service. There was as an issue with my food and high I did not discover until after I'd eaten a bit. When we told the bartender, he was immediately apologetic and said he would take care of it right away. The manager then came over and he was so very apologetic. You could tell he was genuinely sorry it had happened. He asked if I would like something else or anything. I told him the pasta had tasted awesome so far, so I'd like just another one of those. He had it out to me in maybe five minutes. Hot and fresh. And again, so apologetic. I think it also helped that we weren't jerks about it and understand that sometimes things happen. He then came back and told us that he had taken the pasta off our bill and offered us dessert. I had the pretzel chocolate chip bread pudding and my husband had blueberry cheesecake. Both were awesome. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. We ate here two nights in a row. The first night was with a group of 12 from our community. Didn't get to order an entree as we got there during happy hour and everyone filled up on appetizers. As far as the large group goes, I have the highest praise for the manager and her staff. We were welcomed and treated like royalty. Food was delivered to everyone at nearly the same time so there was no awkward waiting for others to be served before digging in. Our second visit, the following evening, was just for the two of us to have a regular dinner. We split the cottage pie and chicken pot pie - both perfectly prepared and tasty. The chicken pot pie has an usual crust - very thin and on top of the filling. Lots of chicken chunks! The cottage pie was more traditional and layered with enough mashed potatoes to feed a small army. Both were so large that we had no room for dessert. The restaurant is large but not as noisy as one would expect. Service is fast and friendly. While the menu is not that extensive, there are still plenty of options to suit anyone's taste. I want to update my review of this place because we've been back in here twice this year since our very underwhelming experience six years ago. I have to say the place has improved dramatically. I was in town for the Harry Potter Experience but wanted to have a good sit down meal with my friend before the event. We started with the Chesapeake crab dip, and my goodness. We didn't let any of it go to waste. Paired with warm pita bread, this was amazing. The Brie in it really made it a delicious creamy dip. The Baja shrimp tacos were also fabulous. They had pico, guac, and cilantro slaw along with the shrimp, making it very filling. I ended up taking a taco back to the hotel. It came with thin crispy chips that I also dipped in the crab dip. Soooo good. For a last minute decision, this was a fabulous choice. If I'm ever in the area again I will gladly try more of their menu. read more

The service was friendly but refills took longer than expected. Could be there was only one waiter covering 7 or so tables or approximately 17 guests. The pricing is similar to Cooper's Hawk but not on that level of presentation or options. I didn't feel like spending $28 on a lunch entree, so my options were limited. We ended up sharing most of them as a group and here are my opinions. - Crispy Thai Chili Cauliflower: Did not try them so nothing to contribute. - Crispy Smokestack Chicken Wings: Tasted like old pre-made wings been refried. It's dry and too crispy to the point where difficult to eat. - Chips & Dip: Chips are not crispy at all which is odd and the French onion dip had a weird sour tasting. Not a fan. - Warm Jumbo Pretzel: One of the best out of all appetizers. Soft and well seasoned. For entrees, my husband ordered Southern Man Burger, and I ordered Fish N Chips. - Southern Man Burger: It was average. Nothing special. - Fish N Chips: Oddly very fresh and very good.
