NV Kitchen and Bath did a very complete renovation of a condominium for us. This included redoing the entire electrical system, gutting and rebuilding the kitchen, installing all new appliances, gutting and rebuilding two bathrooms, building and installing built-in cupboards, installing all new lighting and hardware, and installing new floors throughout. The job was particularly challenging because the condo is in a 1938 building with concrete walls and ceilings. The team also had to work around the restrictions that come with working in a condo in DC--limited work hours, the need to accommodate neighbors, DC regulations, etc. Our designer, Italo, had excellent ideas and suggestions and helped us find finishings that met our taste and budget. Our day-to-day foreman, Edgar, was a joy to work with and was unfailingly helpful and kind. We are thrilled with the final results. We got the warm, inviting home we were looking for and couldn't be happier. read more

Sink installed wrong back flush installed wrong cabinets installed wrong floor tile installed wrong 30% of project is unfinished we try to contact them to get the rest of job done but we can not find them they took all the money for project in advance now they run away we have to take them to court to push them to get the job done. Worst experience ever. Ten months after I signed a contract for a kitchen remodel, we had to hire a lawyer to cancel the contract and start over with a new company. NV did not come close to delivering on the terms of the contract and what they did complete had to be redone to pass inspection, as well as to make our house safe. The design was flawed, the execution was flawed and they had the nerve to ask for more money to finish the job, even though we had already paid for crews and materials. We are now in the 8th month without a kitchen while we wait for a new cabinet order from another contractor. NV got a LOT of money from us and we got almost nothing in return. Floor improperly installed NV Kitchen installed vinyl plank flooring as part of the kitchen renovation. After 14 months, the flooring started to chip on some of the edges. NV Kitchen said their work had a 12 month warranty. I contacted the floor manufacturer who had an independent inspector examine the floor. The floor should have been a 'free floating' installation, not nailed down and not placed under the cabinets. The floor was nailed and/or screwed in place and installed under the cabinets-it was not installed correctly. I have contacted NV Kitchen and they have ignored my complaint. read more

This business was the worst experience we have had with a remodel business. It seems like a scam. We should have cut our losses and ran after our "designer" called us after signing the contract 2 weeks later that her last 2 paychecks had not been cashed and she quit. Red flag #1. Our "project manager" called multiple times to demand we pay "immediately" they need the money in the bank in 3 hours to pay the subcontractors. I explained it takes a few days to wire money not hours... They did not seem like a flush company. They walked off the job and left my shower not workable for weeks. I had to pay a plumber to come fix it. The project manager and I actually shook hands to agree on a timeline to finish and payments and he did not honor that-he walked off the job. I have used NV Kitchen and Bath (Falls Church, VA location) twice for kitchen remodels - once in 2018 and once in 2023-2024 - totaling over $150K in work. The job in 2018 required significant work, including removal of a previous existing wall, installation of beams, structural engineer work, moving windows, and building a top-notch kitchen with a 10' island. The kitchen is featured prominently on their website and marketing materials. There were headaches along the way requiring multiple meetings with management. However, we crossed the finish line and we were willing to recommend them to our friends and return as customers. Our current job is in flux. Since reaching cabinet installation (just prior to countertop installation) and paying another significant payment per our contract, NV Kitchen and Bath employees have not worked on our project. The last time an NV Kitchen and Bath employee stepped in our home was 18 June 2024 (I will update this post when that changes). Zero stars. This company is a scam; stay away from them. Adam Akpinar, also known as Arif Akpinar, scammed us and left our kitchen in disarray. He hired unlicensed individuals for electrical and plumbing work, producing subpar quality. After we paid more than 33% down, he failed to provide and purchase materials and did not complete the job. He even visited our home to inform us that he was broke and couldn't afford to pay the subcontractors or buy the necessary materials. Our kitchen has been left incomplete since December 27, 2023. NV Kitchen and Bath has been evicted from Burger Road in Columbia, Maryland, because they could not pay their rent. I reported them to the MHIC, and there are other cases against them. We worked with April Hopkins last year to finalize a design for a basement bar (see image of original rendering) she did an amazing job on making sure our plans came to fruition (see image of final product). While she had left the company later in the year, other program managers picked up the project where she left off. While it took a little longer then we would have liked since we faced supply chain issues (not the fault of NV since this was a challenge across the industry), the end product up was exactly how we visioned it. Please note, NV Kitchen and Bath were very accommodating and worked through all our punch list items. We really appreciate how responsive the leadership team was to any issues that arised. First they require 50% down then the cash your check, do not order any of the custom materials as promised and disappear. 6 mos after paying for deposit and 4 mos after our schedule start date - we had to go in person and demand to speak to the manager, who gave us song and dance and new start date, permits had never been pulled and our custom cabinets NEVER ordered. That start date passed, as did the next, and next -- 8 mos after deposit paid, they finally started demolition. we met the contractor for framing, plumbing and electrical.... First, never ask someone you know (who is in the remodeling business) and respect to redo your home. We thought until months into the project and no replies from him, that he was ignoring us. He finally admitted that it wasn't his company, and couldn't help. Second, never use this company. There are 9 different drawings of how we wanted out walk in shower to look. Justin Yildiz even came by for us to discuss it verbally with him. Sadly he put the walk in shower the way he wanted and simply said "mistakes" happen. No offer to make it right. He does not listen to you, the customer, he ignores emails, texts and phone calls. He will tell you that your job is small that he has bigger concerns. He will tell you that persons told him things were done. All of it false. Unless you beg information out of them, you won't know anything. Justin will tell you anything, but correct information. Below is my last email to them. Guess what, Silence! You will get the same. "The rest of you as well. If we did not generate an email, we would have no I idea what was going on. Sadly, (after waiting 5 weeks with no communication) it took me to get real ugly to get anything done! Why? We were your customer, you didn't treat us as such. You broke and entered our home in order to get the windows put in and then left our door unlocked, AFTER we asked Justin to wait! This review needs to be divided into two sections : Management (sales, design, ya toner service and project management ) and the on site work. Allow me further put into perspective . We are in the final week or so of the project.. renovation of our Kitchen and 1st floor. Let me start with the easy: on site work team were fabulous, hardworking, clean, polite and the work was / is outstanding . No complaints . The lead on the project took on the role of PM as the Actual PM , Ox, only showed up once and barely answered calls or emails . The design team well .. my husband was the design team since the design/ sales never wrote anything down causing more issues then solutions . We did architectural drawings , design drawings , etc . He just took them and said ok. Zero input of recommendation or interaction . My favorite part was when everyone at NV thought we would not want permits, they just made that assumption and when we asked for them it turned into a shit storm. As for a timeline or project plan or milestone inspection plan.. forget it that is above their heads. Would never ever recommend and work with NV Bath and kitchen, would not recommend them to any one. However, I would hire their subcontractor independently . I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt despite their 1 star reviews and base it on the 5 star reviews instead because I liked their project gallery. Let me tell you, believe what the people are saying with the 1star reviews! Just making the appt online was cumbersome. They sent me 4-5 emails just to confirm a simple appt. So much back n forth involved. I was lucky enough to see how unprofessional they were on my consultation day so I now know not to proceed with them. The guy arrived 22 mins late (for a 30 min appt). I was limited in time because he was late and the process was rushed because of it. I emailed when he was 10 mins late but didn't get a reply back from his office until 24 hrs later. Though they apologized, it wasn't sincere because it was a "I'm sorry but these things happen" kind of apology. It only takes one phone call to tell your potential customer that you are running late. This is called professionalism and common courtesy something this company clearly lacks and because of this they lost a 5 bathroom remodeling project. In addition to repairing the water damage and restoring the look of the shower, they repaired the drywall behind the shower wall, painted, and installed a ceiling fan. After receiving a recommendation from Angie's List, I reached out to NV Kitchen and Bath to request an estimate to finish my unfinished basement. On April 15, 2021, I signed a contract and paid a 50% down payment, exceeding the 33% allowable legal limit in Maryland. The NV team cashed my check immediately, but did not request permits for 2 months. I followed the permitting process online. The process stalled and after contacting NV a couple of times and still seeing no progress, I reached out to the county and got the process completed. Once the permits were approved, it took a couple more weeks for the NV team to begin work on August 16, 2021. Problems arose almost immediately and the NV team was not responsive and did not resolve issues in a timely manner - for example, they improperly installed the wrong entry door (wrong size, wrong components, wrong style) causing water to come into the basement during heavy rain. This issue, like many others, was never resolved. The onsite crew - not employees of NV, but contracted by the company - was forced to come to my husband and I frequently for instructions due to the inability to get direction from NV. By mid-September, the Owner and CEO of NV, took over as the chief point of contact. An inspection occurred at my home on October 12 and the work performed by NV failed. The county inspector told us he did not believe NV was licensed based on the quality of the work he saw in our basement. Following the inspection, NV sent workers to attempt to correct some of the issues identified by the inspector, but their workers created additional problems by closing the soffit with 2 sprinklers inside. I sent pictures of the enclosed soffit with the sprinklers no longer visible on October 17 and the issue was never resolved. No further work was done in my home by NV. During the period of time when NV was doing work in my home, their team never worked a full week. When they did show up, they were inconsistent on the time and they played loud music in my basement beginning as soon as they arrived while my family attempted to work and conduct school remotely upstairs. After a series of contract breaches by NV including exceeding the timeline for completion, failing to perform work up to code standards (requiring us to pay for someone else to redo the failed components), failing to uphold professional standards, attempts to double charge for work that was previously contracted, and noncompliance with applicable laws - namely, the requirement to be appropriately licensed in the state prior to accepting funds or commencing work, by mid-November, we could not move forward. I attempted to I attempted to come to a resolution through the Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection, but NV was uncooperative On April 13, 2022, the Office initiated criminal charges in District Court against the CEO and two NV Kitchen and Bath employees. To date, none of the funds that were illegally collected from me have been returned. read more

We used NV to remodel our kitchen 2 years ago and then followed up with 2 bathroom remodels (simultaneously). The experience with the kitchen seemed good at first. They were responsive and on time. Enough so that we reengaged for the bathrooms. The bathroom experience was a nightmare, and now we are seeing the product of low quality work across our remodels to include the kitchen that we thought went so well. The bathroom effort was fraught with terrible communication and ridiculous price quotes. Time and again we were told there would be a delay for 1 or 2 weeks due to parts not available. We would order the same components for half the price available for same day pickup or delivery from Amazon within two days for 30-50% less than quoted. I understand they work with suppliers, but not ordering on time for our project and not being proactive to meet the timeline was really a setback. During the project our house was not treated with the professionalism we expect. A faucet was removed and a bucket left. They closed off the space and I discovered it hadn't been emptied for days and had overflowed. I discovered water pool in the basement below leaking through a light fixture. We had repeated leaks throughout and multi-week delays. Our punchlist at the end of the project was extensive. Basic painting was missed, and a mirror was installed without being leveled or the frame joined. After less than a year we are experiencing significant caulking peeling away on wall tiles and on floor tiles. Wrong measurements were also used on a barn door, hung on a wall they initially forgot they were moving. The kicker in all this was the unexpected charge of $5k for an architect consult. The fee was was not discussed before he came out and he was in the house less than 5 minutes. We needed the consult for an HOA approval, but the fact that a $5k unbudgeted cost wasn't discussed simply invoiced shows the level of uncertainty I have in this provider Today I am having my 3rd plumber visit in 60 days, he is attributing unprofessional work to causing major issues to the kitchen faucet install. All told I would not recommend this service unless they have had major changes. The original PM I worked with is someone I would work with again, but the design, install, and business end were not to the professional standard on our second experience. As an update, and response to the 'supply chain issues' excuse that was given, I am pasting a portion of an email that I wrote to the company owner that explains why I feel your company's work on this job has been completely unacceptable. The issues go far beyond supply chain, so that excuse won't cut it. This experience is beyond horrible and rises to the level of a BBB complaint. I'd give you negative stars if I could. Excerpt below: I understand you are the owner of NV Kitchen and Bath. I have been dealing with your company for the better part of 6 weeks for the installation of a master bathroom where nothing has gone right. My primary point of contact has been Adam Akpinar (your brother?) and Rasheed Goyushzade, both of whom have completely mismanaged the project. For example: -We paid your team for a deposit in June, with work starting in September, fully knowing there were supply chain issues that may cause a lag in materials delivery. Your team didn't think to order windows, which were a main component of the job, until at least mid-August (the window vendor confirmed the receipt of the order on September 15, which was one day prior to the start of work). Apparently no one but us understood delays in the supply chain. -At the beginning of work, Rasheed and Adam indicated that your team would be here working on weekdays 'starting sometime between 8-10'. Not only were there numerous no shows, no one bothered to tell us when people would actually be showing up. This project has dragged on so long now that it has interrupted other work I want to get done. -Your people thought it was smart to install a shower that was missing a component and now want to destroy a wall in another room to fix it. The wall they want to destroy just had a closet organizer put into it. Your team previously punched a hole in my ceiling and punched a hole in an adjacent wall doing whatever they were doing. While they fixed the ceiling, it was not timely. They never bothered to fix the wall so I hired another company, on my own dime, to do it because I was sick of waiting. Adam indicated to me that this would be done weeks ago and it just magically never happened. -Our bathroom was supposed to be in working condition weeks ago. The only delays recently have been under the control of your company, making breach of the substantial completion provision in our contract entirely your company's fault. -There are numerous items that we ordered MONTHS ago from your team that they just entirely forgot to purchase (e.g., handles for our cabinets). Delays in us getting these items is not a supply chain issue - it is an issue of incompetence in that they just never were ordered. -Your people somehow rearranged wiring in my house to the point that it killed electricity in at least five other outlets at my house. I hired a handyman for some work around my house and he happened to identify the problem as emanating from the bathroom you all are still redoing. Adam admitted the wiring mistake and it is now fixed, but the question is how can something that stupid happen in the first place with a supposedly professional contractor performing work? -Numerous times this project was represented as requiring 3-4 weeks, max, to finish. We are now approaching week 7 with no end in sight. -Your onsite team has used my garage as their personal dumpster. I cleaned up an empty orange juice container, the safety seal on that container, and a plastic knife (they eat in my garage). I didn't read in the contract where I would be required to perform janitorial services for your team. read more

I highly recommend Sean and his team, I'm super excited to get my kitchen redone and will be doing 2 more bathrooms as well. Sean's team is attentive, polite, and will get you whatever you need between the style you want or budget needs. For my project, since I'm only staying in the place I have now the materials are not high end the but craftmanship and work they do is excellent. Even compared to other competitors their pricing is very good but what separates NV kitchen and bath is the tools they have and the selection of materials with all their vendors. Excellent communication with the whole team, amazing customer service, and very affordable options. My experience with NV Kitchen & Bath was disappointing to say the least. I asked them to order me a replacement kitchen cabinet door, gave them the matching door, the measurements, and the manufacturer's web site. I paid up front. What did I get? A door completely the wrong size--off by two inches in height. So I sent pictures explaining what went wrong and the second time got a door the right exterior dimensions, but a completely different, plain style. Again, I sent pictures showing the differences. Third time, I get a door with the right exterior dimensions, but the style is different. This time NV Kitchen & Bath calls the manufacturer, Decora, and confirms that the right model is ordered, but that their catalog is wrong. I ask for a refund, but what I get instead is the statement that NV Kitchen & Bath is "[a] reputable company and stand behind our work. We don't take all projects. We are honest and 100% transparent with our customers", that they should probably not be taking renovation work at all, and it's not their fault that the manufacturer doesn't follow their own catalog. That would have been nice to know up front. So, NV Kitchen & Bath makes a lot of unnecessary mistakes, doesn't stand behind their work, blames the customer, and keeps their money. read more

We signed the contract for with Northern Virginia Kitchen and Bathrooms in July 2021 to renovate our bathrooms and make small improvements to our kitchen. We live in a one-bedroom apartment so this was not a big job. The contract was finally completed in December. I recognize that some of the delay was due to "supply chain issues" but the whole process was agonizing. The demolition should have started in September but did not begin until October. There were problems with the quantity of materials ordered, or items which were omitted from the original order list, or those which had been damaged and not re-ordered. We were caught in the trap of being too uncomfortable to stay in the apartment yet knowing if we were too far away the work would simply drift. We must have written more than 50 emails about various issues over the work period. There were several walkthroughs during the work period with the project manager and the designer to underline the depth of our frustration and the company even paid for a week in a hotel because the apartment was not habitable by the date we had expected. The quality of the work was fine but I regret that we chose them to do this work given the prolonged level of stress we suffered. We chose to work with the company based on their reviews, photos of their work online, and their quotes, which were much more reasonable than many of their competitors. We had NV Kitchen and Bath do both our small master bathroom and our half bath. Our project manager Oz Huseyin was fantastic, flexible, and reasonable. We went into the show room to choose our materials with their help of one of their designers, and they were ready to begin work just days later. The work went quickly and smoothly, but Oz told the workers to take their time to make sure it was done right, and it was! I have never written a bad review but what happened to me is unacceptable. I made a first order with one of the nice ladies that work at this location and all went well. We ran short on LVT and had to make a second order of the same product. I did it with Mark Yank. The order took a bit longer than expected but that was ok. What was not ok is that the order that came in was not what was ordered. I trusted him, he put it in the back of my SUV and while he is loading up my car he lets me know that he's charging me an extra $100.00 as his fees. I have (proof) the bill that the total would be $100.00 less than what I was about to pay. Mind you I am already paying $99.00 for freight delivery from Dulles, Va. to Falls Church ,VA. My floor guy sees its not even close to the color of our floors. I then bring it back and Mark first tells me that the order is correct and it's not. The flooring company shipped the wrong floors but then at NV they didn't check that what I ordered was specifically Prescott-Bracken Hill (gray in color) and what came in was just Prescott (brown in color). He then goes on to blame me for letting him put it in my car. That I was supposed to verify it myself. I then ask that we cancel that order since it is not what I ordered and get my money back and then we can make another order and that this time we please order only 2 boxes. He was furious and didn't want to do as I requested. He then proceeded to let me know in a strong tone " I will give you your money back and good luck finding where to buy them". I have never in my life been treated like that and I will never give business to this company again. I hope that the ladies that work with him are treated better than how he treated me this week. read more

Do not use NVKB! We contracted them for a complete remodel of the first level of our TH. First off, they required %50 of the project total and it took them over 90 days to get started. They were supposed to be done in 4 - 6 weeks. It took them 9 weeks. They kept coming up with items that we had been assured by the designer and job foreman were included and part of the contract, only to find they were not, either by omission or disregard or contempt for the client! There were times, no one would show up to do anything for days at a time. One work stoppage... I didn't see anything done over a three week period of time. There were many, many days where I was told someone was coming to work. And NO one would show up. Mind you... our entry level was completely gutted, there were materials all over and all the appliances in the dining room. Our lower level was unusable as we had to store the entire contents of our kitchen and bath down there. Let me make a real king story short. We paid for first quality materials and labor. Many, many things were done incorrectly if not just poorly! The cabinets looked like they were pulled from another job as they had extra holes in them. They couldn't even fix a simple leak they had caused in the powder room! We had to call them back for that 4 times! We have many areas that we had to go back over and repaint because poor quality of work and lack of attention to detail by their subs!! I contracted this business to avoid the headaches and hassle of trying to coordinate the subs and services myself! Hah!! The joke is on me. They started out well, but soon the issues started when they informed us how many important items were not ordered, as they should have been, while they were holding my deposit! From day one they never disappointed. They provided excellent design and ideas how to maximize our storage. They were always on time and we're flexible to our schedules. After voicing my many concerns to Sean, the owner of the company, his team worked quickly to address and finalize everything. While it was a bumpy ride (I later found out the initial PM I had was fired due to poor performance) that took quite a bit longer than planned the final project is wonderful. Sean went as far as replacing my carpet and replacing my dryer because of my complaints. Sean will go above and beyond to make his customers happy. The workers hired were excellent, but the project manager(s) were unprofessional. The work stated in the contract was not done, we were charged over the price paid for our selections, a final invoice was not provided and we had to haggle by phone and email.
