We initially stopped in just to look at bedroom furniture for our son and were immediately greeted by Leilani, who was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. She took the time to walk us through the different options, offered great recommendations, and never made us feel pressured to purchase. Since we still needed to go home and take measurements, she gave us her card and told us to reach out whenever we were ready. One suggestion we especially loved was to show our son the different bedding and sheet options and let him be part of choosing everything for his new room. It was such a thoughtful idea, and he was SO excited to be involved in the process! When we were ready to order, I emailed Leilani without realizing it was actually her day off. Not only did she see my message, but she went out of her way to connect us with another manager (Deeon) at the store so we could get everything taken care of without having to wait. That level of dedication and customer service really impressed us! The ordering process was completely seamless, everything arrived promptly, and today we had the final step: white-glove delivery of the bedroom furniture. The delivery service was impeccable as well. I came here with my family excited to be here because my son was going to be choosing his backpack for school-first time ever. Already walking in they never welcomed us. But as we were looking around more people would come and right away they welcomed them with great greeting and asking them right away if they needed help. While we were just ignored. Why of course we're Hispanic. They think how would we ever afford anything here. I regret buying his backpack because why buy from a business when they treated us such way. Our experience with Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn was nothing but trouble--a complete hassle. Note: PB Kids and PB are apparently not the same store. So, if you need to return something to PB Kids, the PB system cannot (or will not) process it, even if they sell the exact same item. Our tale begins with us purchasing a Christmas stocking in November at PB Kids in Costa Mesa. Fast forward a week to Black Friday, when we found the same stocking on the PB website at a bigger discount--including embroidery! We called the nearest PB store to ask how embroidery works, and they informed us that embroidery is only available via the website. They suggested we return the stocking bought in-store. Since I live an hour away from the PB Kids in Costa Mesa, I went to the closest PB store to handle the return after ordering an embroidered stocking online. However, the clerk there told me they couldn't process the return because it was purchased from PB Kids. I was told I'd have to go all the way back to Costa Mesa. Fast forward another month--I finally had a reason to be in the area and decided to return the item to the Costa Mesa store. When I got there, the clerk informed me that I was one day past the 30-day return window. With an attitude, they said, "You should REALLY try to return this within 30 days." Seriously? ONE day? It's not like I didn't try. Also, shouldn't stores have extended return windows for the holidays? In the end, I got the refund, but somehow I left even more annoyed. Don't shop in-store. read more

Though they were pleasant in the store, they failed to offer me the option of an extended warranty on my Dream Deluxe Power Swivel Recliner. I didn't even know you could have an extended warranty until I went online to see the chair that I purchased just to see what the warranty was. Once I saw the Allstate extended warranty, I went through my emails to see if it was added to my purchase, after all, I was very pregnant at the time. My husband was with me and also didn't recall anyone asking because he knows if they had it we would've purchased it because of how I am!!!! I am an extended warranty person when it comes to any purchase that I make especially expensive purchases like this one. Since I did not see any evidence that I had insurance, I called customer service. The issue I was having with my chair after only a year is that one of the welded legs on the circular base came detached, which caused my chair to rock unevenly and lean all the way back when not in use. It's no longer safe for me to sit in , however, my daughter is 10 months and I am nursing her in it every day. Everything else still works, but it's this one piece that needs to be repaired or replaced. I spoke with a customer service representative named Danielle Cook, instructed me to send her a picture of what was broken so that she could then send it to the next level of service to see what they would say. After waiting on the line about 10 minutes, I learned that because I am out of warranty there's nothing that they can do. So now I am a first time, mom who nurses her daughter and her chair that cost over $2000 with white glove service to deliver it to my home and there's nothing they can do all because the store never offered me an extended warranty! This one forgotten and extremely important part of my purchase is now an unsafe nursing chair and no fault of my own a year later. Please train your staff to offer everything and if we are dumb enough to decline the warranty then that's on us and you can put that in the system that customer declined the warranty, but I was never offered it and if I could purchase it now I would, but because of that I would discourage anyone from buying anything from a store that sells items that expensive meant for long-term usage and multiple children, but doesn't even remember to offer an extended warranty!!! Also, I am 6 feet tall as well as my husband and we are not overweight or obese for the bottom of a chair that expensive to break! You can Google our names and see that for yourself! I ordered a Christmas gift for my baby well in advance, expecting it to arrive on time. Instead, after 5 days, my order was refunded without any notice, explanation, or communication whatsoever. Customer service did nothing to inform me, offer an alternative, or even apologize. I only found out because I checked my account myself. This completely ruined my plans and caused unnecessary stress during the holidays. If an item is unavailable, the bare minimum is to notify the customer and provide options -- not silently cancel an order for a baby's Christmas gift. We were concerned going into the store after reading poor reviews. There were plenty of employees to help us. I can't remember the name of the employee now, but he was great. He went over everything about the Nuna travel system, and the carrier. My son in law is very tall so we wanted to make sure the carrier fit the both of them. Huge shout out to the PBK & West Elm team for helping me find the perfect nursery furniture for my little one. We had originally purchased BabyLetto through PBK and the quality was so horrible that we returned it with no hassle a few days after receiving it. We went back in June to look at other options and we decided to purchase the entire set & nursery chair through PBK. We spent hours with the associates going back and fourth on options for the chair because we wanted the glider, rocker and recliner combination but a lot of options were back ordered for months and my sweet girl was due in September. We ended up getting exactly what I wanted in the most beautiful olive crushed velvet with a date of Sept 15-20. We opted for white glove on all our furniture which was just amazing and so convenient! Our PBK dresser, crib and side table were all in stock and the white glove service delivered and assembled it within a week. It was such a hassle free convenience! The furniture is top quality, sturdy and not made of cheap materials. If you are on the fence on the white glove service, I would tell you to go for it! Every interaction we had with the PBK team was always exceptional and professional. My chair was delivered within the timeframe indicated and it's so beautiful and so comfortable and looks amazing in my sweet girls nursery. Also, the reason they don't have BabyLetto on display is because of how crappy the quality is. Stay away from that brand, super cheap materials are used and the furniture looks like it will fall apart in months! I have considerably mixed feelings about Pottery Barn Kids (and the Pottery Barn company in general). First, the pro: when my MIL picked up my order form this location, it was an easy and simple transaction. She was able to get my order with the order confirmation email that I received and forwarded to my MIL. Most importantly, my MIL raved about the salesperson who helped her with my pick up order. The salesperson was personable, nice, and helpful, especially during the holidays which I can only imagine can be challenging because customers are in a rush to get their holiday shopping competed. So, to have a friendly face to help with one's holiday shopping is an A+ in my book. Kudos to that salesperson. I wish I knew her name because I would totally give her a shout out! (If it was just for the pickup, I would give 5 stars) Now, to cons: it is terribly ridiculous how the Pottery Barn company functions. I purchased stockings for the holidays. A couple days later, the stocking were discounted by a lot. I called to see if I could get a price adjustment. I spent over 1 hour on the phone only to be told that they are unable to do a price adjustment. The policy is price adjustments within 24 or 48 hours from the time you placed your order and before it ships out. So, I was left in the position of purchasing the stocking at the discounted price and returning the other stocking from my original order--pretty much a waste of time on my end and cost on their end because I was shipping the stockings back. Well, guess what? It happened again--the stockings got discounted by a significant amount; an amount that was worth my time and energy to go through the process of returning the second order of stockings. Thankfully, third time was a charm and the stockings didn't get reduced any further but it could have been easily resolved with a simple price adjustment. It wasn't like the time between the original purchase and my final one were months--it was basically a week, no more than two weeks. Other companies give at least a 30 day window for price adjustments; not Pottery Barn. Also, heads up: the return window is only 30 days from date you received the order and sometimes there is a return shipping fee. Due to the hoops I had to go through in order to get the stockings for the lower price, I am less likely to purchase from the Pottery Barn company in the future. It's just not worth the hassle. I am a-okay with spending a little more for items, but the lack of customer support makes it not worth my time or money. read more

Bought the best and most expensive rocking chair. Electric for our new born daughter. The motor failed in the 1st 90days. When pottery barn came out to look at the warranty they informed us it cannot be fixed and they needed to take the chair back for repair or replacement. Like I said we have a newborn and we use it every night. We can't be without a chair. So our options are to buy a 2nd chair or deal with the broken chair. I am so disappointed with my whole experience with this store. From the start my husband and went to make a baby registry and they had trouble with everything, with the iPad, with finding anything and with just helping at all. We left with the thought that we had a registry come to find out after calling for a whole week there was no registry made. All they said after was that you just have to re do it yourself. I wish that was all ... We registered for a stroller and received it on our baby shower, after our shower the stroller we actually wanted came back in stock, we called the store and asked what the easiest way on doing this exchange was. They said bring it in and you'll get credit. We brought it in on 11/20, after the return was made they told us it might take 24hours to get the credit and we weren't able to get the other stroller without that credit, knowing that we asked and that they happily took my stroller to the back. They gave a business card and said give us a call when you have that credit. We left and the next day we received an email, called them immediately. They said open the email, email was not working, then they said, YOU'RE going to have to call the 800 number. I called the 800 number explained everything and they said you should receive a new gift card in 24-48 hours. WE RECEIVED NOTHING!!!! Called back on 11/24 and told them the whole story, they tried helping but the only thing she was offering was the same 25-48 gift card that never comes, I asked if I can just get the stroller back or ask the store to give me a store card, she then proceeded to call the store with me on the line. She first asked the store about the stroller and they said they no longer have it in the store (I think they sold it), then she asked about the gift card and the said "honestly we don't really want to deal with this issue anymore" They took my stroller and lied to me about some fake credit!!!! I had no choice then to try that 24-48hour window gift card again. Now it's 11/27and I'm calling back and one more time they said 24-48 waiting window and that was all they could do. Now it's 12/1 and I'm calling the store and they said you have to call the 800 number and that they didn't know what to tell me, no one wants to help and at least get me in touch with the correct person. It's 12/4 now and I am calling again and finally they let me speak with a supervisor he offer a physical card with no tracking number and a 2 week wait. I said absolutely not, then he said only only thing he can offer is another 24-48hour wait on a new gift card. I said fine because I had no other choice. 12/5 I finally received this gift card and was able to order the stroller. Each phone call I did was 1-2 hours, it was a complete waste of time and still no actual apology. I am 8 months pregnant and it was so stressful dealing with everything. They don't care at that store, and something is always wrong, the blame the iPad is not working, the WiFi, the service, the system always something and they just don't care! I absolutely loved my experience at PBK. I had never been to the store but was interested in the Nuna car seat and stroller items. Marika helped me and was a godsend! She helped through the entire process. She was so patient and literally had to hold my hand. For every answer I had ten more follow up questions. I'm a first time mom and I have been overwhelmed with all the baby options. Absolutely the worst experience. I'm going to try to make this short since I've been dealing with PB for the last month. April - ordered a sofa and ottoman. Charged for shipping but was supposed to be waived. They promised to refund it when it delivers in 12 weeks. June - 15 weeks has passed on no phone call or follow up about the furniture that was supposed to deliver in under 12 weeks. Called customer service line - transfers after transfers and long holds upon long holds. No one seems to know what is going on with the furniture that at this has been paid for already. Excuse upon excuse and still no resolve after hounding customer service for 2 weeks. Finally an escalated specialist takes over - she still didn't know what was going on either. But promised we'd be refunded shipping. July - contact the store. Was helped by Assistant Manager. She called me back after researching and said that the furniture actually is in the hub. That I had to call the hub to schedule delivery. Called delivery and they said it's been waiting in the hub for two weeks!!??? A few days later I finally get the furniture delivered. Emailed the assistant store manager and asked about my shipping refund which is clearly notated on my file. She says she'd get back to me. Of course I don't hear anything so I have to email her several times for an answer to which she said that corporate was supposed to handle it but she'd continue to research. Several days later - still no follow up from assistant store manager. I call the store again. Asked to speak to a manager. They said he's busy and if I wanted to hold. I said I would hold. I had been out on hold for more than a half an hour I finally hung up and called again. They apologized and said they were swamped and that I'd get a call back. Do not waste your time ordering from Pottery Barn. I ordered an Uppa Baby vista V2 stroller back on October 16th from this location. I went into the store and ordered it in person to confirm that they had it in stock. I also ordered an Uppa Baby Mesa Max infant car seat. Total for my order about 1500 which they were quick to charge... I told the employee that I needed it asap since my expected due date is beginning of December if not sooner. I was given a delivery window of Oct 30-Nov 1 for the stroller and October 19-23 for the car seat. It is now NOVEMBER 24th and my order still says "preparing to ship." It has said "preparing to ship"since the day we placed the order. I called pottery barn in Costa Mesa on 11/11 and was told it was delayed but would receive by Nov 17-21 (stroller) and the car seat Nov 20-21. Today I called customer service to cancel the order and was told I cannot cancel the order because it is "preparing to ship." They then transferred me to the furniture dept and I spoke to Roxanna I believe who stated I cannot cancel because it is preparing to ship and that NOW my items are in stock. The updated delivery date is now December 1-December 12. She stated all she can do is put in an expedited request and hope it doesn't get delayed any further. Order from a store with better customer service who isn't going to give you the run around...if items were not in stock when we ordered we should have been advised to avoid ordering. A very helpful and kind associate helped us pick out new furniture and got everything ordered. No problems SCHEDULING the delivery, however actually receiving it was a nightmare. Things were lost, damaged, too heavy so another delivery person is needed. They came to our home FOUR TIMES to deliver a bedroom set and dining table. Customer service has been unable or unwilling to do anything for us, we're at the whim of the delivery company. Honestly, just don't order anything that requires "white glove delivery". As soon as the money had exchanged hands, they became almost impossible to get a hold of. even though we have only given one and only one address, they seem to constantly go to other peoples' home. Everythjng was excessively delayed, same day delivery cancellation happened on more than 10 occasions. Half of the products came broken or damaged so we had to return them. Our fireplace arrived damaged 10 weeks ago, so we returned it. Today was the 3rd time that they cancelled delivery of the fireplace on the same day it was supposed to be delivered. The incompetence is from the bottom to the top, from the sales person, to corporate, to their scheduling and delivery. Ordered kids backpack before the school year. It says shipment arrive in a week (July 15th -19th)The last day of the arriving date. Checked status, it showing December 20th back order. Anytime before this, no email notification says will be delay! I have no problem item is on back order. I don't think it is professional enough no anytime if communication notify me the item is late and on back order! That is not cool! And after called in customer service for waited near 40 mins. I canceled order. Asked for email confirmation for the cancellation. No one has sent me any!!! read more

I visited PBK about two months ago when I was 6 months pregnant to look at their recliners / gliders. I was interested in the Phoenix Swivel Glider/Manual Recliner, so I wanted to test it out in store. The store manager, Dion, helped me that day, and when I asked what fabric was on the floor model, she mentioned "Dove Performance Basketweave." I remember taking the swatch to compare and being skeptical that was the actual material. But she was assertive and told me it was. Dion asked if I would like to put in an order the same day and that the Dove fabric is "ready to ship" but all other fabrics have a 10+ week waiting time. I wasn't ready to order then, so she asked me to call the store when I'm ready to place the order as they get credit for all purchases. I asked whether they have any sales coming up, and she said no, but I got the feeling she just wanted me to make a purchase right then and there. I called back a few days later and asked another associate if she could double check what fabric is on the floor model of the Phoenix manual recliner and she said Ash Basketweave Slub. The associate was certain as she matched it up to the swatch. Second, I found out that PBK has a completion discount which gives 20% off all unpurchased items in their registry 60 days before event date. This is something I found on my own, but knowledge the store manager clearly withheld. If you ever need anything from PBK, browse in store, but order it yourself online. I just get the vibe that the store manager only wants to make a sale but isn't there to be helpful to customers. read more

Pottery Barn Kids Overall 4.5 Stars Gold Medal - Great Service Silver Medal - Adorable Cute Soft Everything Bronze Medal - Complimentary Water On my visit yesterday into Pottery Barn Kids, everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. As I was walking around looking for a birthday gift for my 1 year old neice, I was asked 4 times by different sales reps, if they can help me. Gold Medal for all the sales reps! The setup in the store was very adorable. All the bedding, chairs, towels, etc looked super adorable cute and soft. I wanted to run my little finger on everything. I was so thirsty for some reason. Must of been all the shopping. There was complimentary water near the cash register for their customers. Would we except anything less of Pottery Barn? I was recommended by the sales rep that their trademark item was the Sherpa Chair. The chair is very plush and soft. with a nifty price tag of $139.99. The lifespan of the chair is about 5-6 years, then the child might outgrow it. The sale rep said that kids love it. Kids sit on the chair like its a throne, feeling like kings and queens. They have an awful return policy for clearance items. I purchased a backpack from Pottery Barn Teen for my 7 year old. You would think a size small supposedly made for a teen would fit a 7 year old. The backpack was way too small. The dimensions seem way off. They tell me I cannot return it nor exchange it. It's a final sale transaction. No wonder nobody buys their clearance items. read more
