The staff is always helpful, attentive, and available to help you transform your space or home into the vision you dream. I think the prices are great for the value. The selection caters to everything from furniture to home décor. The store itself is spotless and organized, which makes it even more enjoyable to explore. The fact that they don't have reviews on their website says everything you need to know about this company. The absolute worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company after spending thousands of dollars. Furniture looks really nice and store personnel were helpful, so much so that I spent a lot of money on several pieces of furniture. Then the nightmare started. Half the order NEVER ARRIVED. I called them several times before the final deadline (which was almost two months after the purchase) because it the tracking indicated that it was not moving. Then the deadline arrived and the furniture was lost somewhere in the process. We're talking, here, about more than 10 thousand dollars worth of furniture. The items I've gotten have lasted. I specifically like the mugs, bowls, bath mats. Very neutral and look like new over time as well. My favorite Pottery Barn store @ 1965 Broadway review and photos. This store has two floors of high end beautiful furniture. I lived nearby two years and I was in here all the time. I return when I visit my old neighborhood. My review and photos are missing. Still this is another store I can't resist browsing when I'm in the neighborhood. Things can be very expensive but the quality is great. The truth is I'm not sure how the Manhattan Stores are going to survive. Pottery Barn was founded in 1949. PB has three retail catalogues: the traditional Pottery Barn catalogue, Pottery Barn Bed + Bath to focus on its bed and bath lines, and one I don't bother with which is outdoor furniture. I do have two pieces I've purchased in this store. They have been moved from apartment to apartment. One is a bathroom cabinet. At least that's what I use it for. I like to have the toilet paper handy! The other is a curio cabinet on my kitchen counter. I have little things I've collected where I can be cheered up in the morning. I have a quilt that was very expensive an investment for me. It's a Queen Size with two Pillow Shams. It's never faded or torn after years of use and laundering. I like to dream a lot and rearrange my furniture. I've moved to four residences in Manhattan since relocating from Florida. I enjoy having the city atmosphere which is like living in a big Mall. While I don't have a Pottery Barn in my current neighborhood, I do visit the online store now and browse brick and mortar stores when I'm near a location like this one. Like I said anything I've purchased has lasted for years. When I'm sick of looking at it it goes to Goodwill for someone else to enjoy. read more

Purchased three (3) bedroom sets from Pottery Barn. There is absolutely no protective finish on the furniture and any marks or stains cannot be removed. For instance, my son, on occasion, rests his head on the bed head -board. Over the period of a few months the natural oils in his hair have left a stain on the headboard (my son wears no product in his hair). We have repeatedly tried to remove this stain to no avail. The same goes for the other two sets of furniture for my daughters. Fingerprints or minor spills are unremovable! Customer service and subsequent escalation at Pottery Barn was completely unproductive. As far as they are concerned we are stuck with three (3) sets of non finished stained bedroom furniture with absolutely no recourse! It is absolutely criminal not to stand by this defective product. Since pottery barn does not have the guts to host product reviews on their site, I have a duty to warn about the Malcolm 24" Rectangular C-Table or any of their products that require customer assembly. Bottom line. Don't buy from Pottery Barn. Their disrespect for the customer is unacceptable. Their product quality is non-existent. As a seasoned assembler of Ikea and even Target furniture, I have an expectation that a set of parts that is sold together will actually be able to be assembled in a reasonable amount of time with simple tools. That is not the case of the Malcolm 24" Rectangular C-Table. Pottery Barn shouldn't even sell this item. The metal parts are warped. The wood stain is different than what is shown in photo graphs. The screw holes of allegedly compatible pieces don't even LINE UP. It's pathetic. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Ok I like shopping at pottery barn and i am not the only one so its a visit at the Broadway spot on the upper west side to browse the two levels . From furniture for inside and outside the home, , rugs , kitchen stuff, lamps, home goods , pillows, etc, you can find it here and if you are lucky there is a good chance its on sale or marked down . A coffee table and abstract rug caught my attention and some more browsing guided me toward a cool lamp that will fit well on top of my end table. The delivery date was a day late but I did receive a text , email and call to reschedule and that did not sour me on future visits and purchases at pottery barn .The summer is creeping up and a outdoor patio set looks like a maybe baby real soon . read more

I ordered a $2800 bed from your store on May 22nd and was told we should receive the bed by late June (4-6 weeks). When I received the order confirmation email, the expected delivery date was July 6th. Since then the website tracking has delayed the order 3 times now expect mid-Aug. I never received an email saying it was delayed over and over again. On the same visit, we ordered an $850 rug that was supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks. We had to cancel that in late June because it was pushed as well. I called your customer service and the rep was uncompromising and unapologetic. We are canceling the order. Never shop at Pottery Barn!. They are completely unreliable and their customer service provides very little if no assistance to their customers. They may have attractive offers seasonally but do not fall for it. It's not worth it. read more

I have three main complaints with the Pottery Barn - no rating or review system of their products allowed on their website, they are not in control of their manufacturing sources and too much glitz and gloss on the descriptions and too few facts and photographs. I purchased a metal firewood holder. It arrived promptly, well packaged and was pre-assembled (a rare treat these days). However, the item is bizarrely made by their overseas manufacturer as it's 4 legs are not flat and have small extensions on part of them, which would definitely mar a wooden, laminate, tile or stone floor. This is not disclosed in the description or shown in the 1 photograph. Their glitzy photograph shows the piece on a hardwood floor!! Please!! It could never be placed on hardwood in it's present form. We are placing this on stone and given added weight and pressure points, we are not comfortable placing it anywhere as it will scratch surfaces. My husband now has to make two wooden runners (which we'll place a cushion upon) to even use the product without damaging flooring. This piece should be manufactured differently to be used without damage to flooring. I can't even attach a cushion surface as there's not enough to attach it too!! I could have gone on Craigslist if I wanted a USED rug. Last December we were looking for a good floor lamp. Most places had bargain basement style with high end prices, so on a whim we walked into Pottery Barn, and I saw the one I wanted right when we walked in the door. It was a crystal and blackened brass lamp all the way in the back. We checked it out, and it was only around $400. They didn't have any nice shades, so we've been looking online for one every once in awhile. Still have a temporary shade on it, but, the point is, my first ever Pottery Barn purchase was a success. And NOW... Yesterday, we went to PB to look at wool rugs. The cat started scratching at my hand made New Zealand rug that I've had forever, and probably will have a long long time, so I rolled it up and put it in storage until Sophie meets her fate. So anyhow, we were looking for a throw away rug that Sophie can hack up and our six month old can spit up on, etc.. Home Depot, might I add, has an surprisingly great assortment of wool rugs, but $1599 was a little more than throw away rug prices, so my wife found some at PB for cheap. There were two that were worth deciding on for us, and we walked out $810.03 lighter, and with the promise on delivery between 9-12 today. Today, we got the rug at 1pm, which is fine, but after I removed the tape, and unrolled it, I noticed some tape at the other end also, "Oh great, we got a return!". Immediately, Sophie started sniffing it and rolling in it, never seen her do that before, and on closer inspection, it was caked in dog hair. I also found finger nail clippings, potato chip crumbs, and foot marks from where a sofa once sat. Now I get to tear down the vacuum cleaner and totally detail that so we don't spread dog hair on the other carpets in the house. Great. I'm uploading some pictures. The lamp, the rug, sofa marks, and our vacuum after ONE pass over this filthy rug. The vacuum was empty when I started. We need this rug, so our girl doesn't have to play on the hardwood floor, so I'm just gonna clean it a few more times and air the smell out of it. Oh, did I fail to mention that yesterday we got an estimate on a leather couch from PB? I've always been a boycotter. There is a 10 to 1 ratio of unsatisfied customers who don't complain and just don't return, to, customers who do complain, get their problem fixed, and return. I'm one of those that complains AND doesn't return. By sending us a used rug, they lost $3800 on a leather sofa we were willing to buy within the next couple of weeks. We're gonna give Pottery Barn a break...a break from counting our money any time soon. UPDATE(12-11-2012) Several things have happened since I wrote the review you may have just read: 1. We found a nice home for Sophie where she has another cat to play with. 2. We unrolled the rug we replaced, and the one in my review is in storage. 3. Pottery Barn flagged most of the pictures of the nastiness I unrolled the day we got the rug from them. The potato chip crumbs, fingernail clippings, and dog hair... And 4. I'm writing this from our brand new Chesterfield leather sofa. It's the same one they had in the store for $2799 plus $1000 in shipping and taxes. But we went straight to the manufacturer who just happened to be having a 40% off sale, and saved hundreds. And we got it in a worn out looking bomber jacket soft brown leather that Pottery Barn did not offer. Boycotting is SO satisfying. read more

Absolutely awful customer service at this location and PB's online registry is totally shady!!! I called to confirm they had some items on my classmate's wedding registry. On my second call, I asked Libby to put the items on hold for me and I would pick them up later that afternoon. She asked for my name and phone number, so I believed it was good to go. A good eight hours later (ample time to put these things on hold, in my opinion), I stand in the crazy long line that is moving as slow as molasses. I finally get to the front of the line and they can not find my items on hold anywhere. I wait for a good 1/2 hour while they try to hunt down the items since they are nowhere on the floor. FINALLY, they find the items, and guess what? They can not gift wrap it because their gift wrapper person isn't working. Ummmm, how hard is it to stuff a box and wrap it? Also, the online registry had items that were last year's merchandise at regular prices. When I called to check on the candle holders (again, on the registry), I was told they were on major clearance from 2010 for $1.83 each. Online they were $19.99! So beware online consumers, you may be paying through the nose for something less than one tenth of the price at the store! I am never shopping here again! read more

Biggest selection in manhattan I've been to so far... A lot of furniture upstairs and downstairs. Mary was very helpful and did an amazing job finding me a bed. She took her time even though other customers kept coming up to her, she was able to help them as well as continue helping me. She took out a measuring tape, was looking online, showed me every bed in the store, and took out their catalogue. I'm very picky and took a long time but finally found the one! She was so nice and patient with me. She even called a couple weeks later to see how I liked it. So good customer service and also a good selection of items for every part of your house. Still a lot more stuff online, but definitely the best location I've been to. read more

My review is for online ordering, not for this store. PB should really rethink about its customer care process and logistics otherwise it will be beaten by its competitors sooner or later. Here are what I experienced: ordered a chair and received a chair with wrong color (the color on the receipt was right though!). Called customer service and explained to 3 different people which took me about 1.5 hours. The replacement was issued at last but will arrive 1 month later according to them. The rest of my order which will be delivered by their "white glove service" is still in transit. Parts of the order were sent to their warehouse on Dec 20th but still haven't received by them. So never count on their estimated dates. I was stupid enough to order my baby furniture from them... my baby will need to sleep in bassinet for a month and hopefully PB furniture can be delivered by then. As the rest of the world is becoming faster and faster. A company like PB will be eliminated by time. (stores like Ethan Allen are now faster and more accurate than PB) read more

STAY AWAY! Beyond rude, uninterested and unfriendly sales associates that are not only rude to customers, but also to each other! Based on other reviews, this is not uncommon. And with the current climate of big box retail chains having to shut down multiple stores across the country, you would think pottery barn would actually read customer reviews and make changes. I don't know who is in charge of this location but you're employees are unhappy and it shows...and unhappy employees make for unhappy customers. I personally left multiple items on the counter and walked out (not that the employees noticed, since they were still bickering with each other at the sales counter). I should have read all of the previous reviews about staying away from the associate named Lucy / Luci at this Broadway location! I have furnished my entire home using Design Services at Pottery Barn and have never had a bad experience until working with Lucy / Luci. She misled me on prices so that I would pay more for my items and gave me false information about the other design professionals so that I would purchase from her. Luckily, I double checked with another professional in the store and he was able to refund me for the $150+ dollars that Lucy / Luci added to my bill! Do not work with Lucy unless you want to get scammed. She is not an honest or well-intentioned professional. read more

I placed an order for new living room furniture in early October 2022 and I was charged the full amount in early January 2023, with a estimated delivery date for early March. Without any explanation that was delayed until later April. When the furniture finally arrived 2 of the 4 pieces were completely the wrong color, the error was immediately called out and replacement order placed for the missing pieces. The original date for the replacements ranged between late May to late June. Within 48hours that was updated to LATE AUGUST 2023 for when it would be available for delivery. Realistically we're looking at September. 11 MONTHS TO HOPEFULLY GET WHAT WE'VE ALREADY PAID FOR! To make matters worse their customer service tactic is completely stonewall customers at every point. Claiming they have no power to influence any improvement in timing, do not have any alternatives than waiting until the product to arrive, they refuse to escalate the case above themselves. AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH POTTERY BARN AT ALL COSTS. They will take your money, and refuse to help you in any way shape or form if something goes wrong. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I placed three orders for furniture and was told that if I had the furniture delivered on the same truck on the same day I would be refunded the $299 delivery fees for two of the orders. The people at pottery barn told me all I had to do was call pottery barn customer service after the furniture was delivered and they would refund my money. I called the day after it was delivered and was told sorry we wont refund your money and the employee hung up on me after I had waited on hold for 50 minutes. I called three times and they refused to refund my money all they said was that I shouldn't have been told that they would. so in the end I ended up paying $900 dollars to have four pieces of furniture delivered on the same truck. This review is for Pottery Barn in general, not necessarily thus store. I will never buy anything from Pottery Barn again. They do not stand behind their quality. I had a slipcover replacement for my couch and the fabric pilled in less in a matter of months. They replaced it with the same fabric saying it was a faulty lot and it happened again. They refuse to replace it again. This is a COUCH. The expectation is that people will sit on it so the fact it pills so fast is ridiculous. For covers that cost as much as some full couches this is unacceptable. If you are thinking of purchasing their upholstered sofas or sectionals, don't bother...but if you do, be careful. I should mention that they put through the order in December for the replacement and canceled it without telling me. I followed up today to find out I was never getting it. Unbelievable. This is a 4 star brand. The 1 star is for an experience at this westside site. My sales nightmare began with a simply query and concluded with me purchasing much less than I would have because of the unfortunate attitude of a salesperson. No! Not a salesperson. The nightmare is called "Lucy" (who works the floor) AND who is actually an Assistant Store Manager! Being snide, abrupt, and arrogant is her retail mantra. In retrospect, I feel like I fled the store to avoid this misclassified "sales" person. PB HR: Some people are simply not geared to be around other people. Read this review and the others. Is there is a systemic problem at this store? (A good question is that if Lucy is affecting a customer like me this way, what is she doing to the rest of your staff?) I must be a glutton for punishment because I find myself in need of one or two items from PB each year-- and each time I leave the store I promise myself that I'll never return. The customer service (from sales reps OR managers falls) into two-- if not both-- categories: 1) unhelpful, unfocused, lazy. 2) arrogant, belittling, pompous. The people in this store are unbelievably rude. I needed a vase gift wrapped and she told me it wasn't possible and that they don't have the capacity to gift wrap that item. I explained that I needed to take the vase to Brooklyn and didn't want to risk it breaking on the subway and was open to any sort of solution. The sales associate (who I believe was also the manager of some sort) was willing to turn me away and let me leave empty handed without the item and could care less about helping me come up with a solution. I ended up forcing her to try the box she wore wouldn't fit the case 20 minutes later of the back-and-forth and viola, it fit. Another 20 minutes later of her half ass wrapping job, and I was so glad to be out of there. I am not usually impressed at these kinds of stores as it feels like no one cares. But Luis was super friendly and helped us decide on the best fabric. Bought a 1300 dollar desk from this store, and they did not care for me at all. The rest was history after the purchase, the desk was delivered and too large. They wouldn't let me exchange it, instead charged my card again to get the desk I wanted with no communication just saw the charge on my bank account. Also they haven't even taken the first desk out yet that is taking up my whole bedroom. The delivery guys couldn't care less they just wanna get home for supper like anyone else. They do bare minimum and leave. I do not recommend giving business to this place at all. Very hurt by my time here and they have been taking up a lot of my energy recently.
