Well, this is a current evaluation. They are very organized. Many styles and types of glazed pots. But the prices are consistent with the two other shops I went to today for the same or similar Pots. My problem is I want 2. To match, for the front door. So a certain shape and height. So, the price x 2. Even the price labels look alike. So the "blow out" price advantage just isn't now. Maybe a long time ago. We may have to change our plan. read more

We were on the hunt for a few pots for our home in SaddleBrooke, AZ. After visiting a couple, we stopped by Pottery Blow Out and were impressed by the great selection presented. Initial questions were answered, and then we were allowed time to view their huge selection. Prices werevery reasonable. Frank, the owner, was a delight to deal with. After finding exacly want we wanted, he and his worker properly loaded the HEAVY pots in to our car. Definately worth the time to stop by, and hopefully you will come away as pleased as we were. read more

Large selection of mass-produced glazed pots and a smaller selection of plain terra cotta pots, metal stands, garden art and accessories. The overall quality seems somewhat lower than you find at the nurseries around town, but then again so were the prices. Not necessarily blowout prices, but fair and reasonable. And most importantly, the planters are certainly worthy of outdoor display. The selection is good, pretty standard fare - nothing far from the ordinary. As I had no reason to engage the staff (1 person, I think), they remained quiet and unobtrusive; however, they were helpful when I was ready for my purchase. No prob. read more

There is a wide variety of attractive pots and plantery here. I came in and told the employee what I was looking for and the type of cactus I was planting and his response was "Well we've got pots here so I'm sure that something will work." So I knew that I was going to be on my own. Mind you I was the only patron in this establishment the entire 20 minutes I was there. I browsed and found something that I liked. The prices are a touch on the high side. The pot I ended up with was made in Mexico. I paid and left. read more

I had a good experience here and there was a lot of attractive selection for very tall pottery that I could turn into a custom fountain to replicate one I left behind in Los Angeles. They gave me a good deal - I bought quite a bunch of stuff to make 2 different types of fountains. The only thing they were missing was the plastic base I use to make the fountain re-circulating. They didn't have the pumps in-house but he was helpful about the type of pump and horsepower I needed for that volume of water and I easily ordered it from Amazon. I did ask about the origin of pottery (I think it was from Thailand or Philippines) vs. Mexico. I have bought similar size and type planters & price was similar. :) read more

Selection is okay prices are normal but the BS I got from the owner about not changing his ad on the website about the discount since October which was 4 months ago was a BS answer. That's how you piss off customers and send us shopping somewhere else. I own my own business and that stuff doesn't fly if you want to be recommended to someone else. read more

Our search for a chimenea led us (me and my boyfriend) to Pottery Blow Out . I'm not entirely sure we bought the best quality or the most authentic product, since almost everything at this spot was made in Asia. However, we got decent service, even though we stood around for a long time before we were greeted and to our surprise there as a 20% discount offered. I'm no pottery or chimenea connoisseur, but ours is doing well. It doesn't produce as much heat as I would like, but that's not the Pottery Blowout's fault. read more

This place purports to be just about the ultimate in price and selection. It isn't. The best thng to do is shop around. Tucson has so many places that have a great selection of interesting pottery that t it is best to shop around. Eventhough many of these other places primarily stock other things such as plants and household goods, their selection and price on quality pottery is often quite good. read more

The critical reviews must be old. My boyfriend and I went there on the spur-of-the-moment recently. We were driving by and saw it so we decided to give it a look. The sales person didn't pounce on us but he greeted us and asked if there was anything in particular we were looking for. I said I would know it when I saw it and just needed to look. When we found what we were looking for he was very helpful, loaded it all into the car, and answered questions. I spent a little under $900 and I thought I got a great deal. In fact, I hope they are open tomorrow because I need three more pots and I plan to buy them there. If you are looking for pots, give them a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

So many pots, so little time. I came in a hurry, found the pot I needed, used a Yelp check-in discount (bing!), and was outta there. It's the basics and most of the pots are made in China. But, I am not a pot snob and there are a variety of sizes, if not syles. If you need to get a pot on the cheap, in a hurry, this place does just fine. read more

This place is awesome, unbelievable selection and the owner really knows how to pick the right pots for the projects, just tell him about what you want to do and he will come up with design ideas and of course, the right pots to match your project, house color, landscape etc. Prices are pretty good and pots last forever. Took about 15 pots to Canada, left 'em outside for over 5 years and now moved 'em back to Tucson, they look like brand new, while those from Home Depot turned into sand and dust. Chuck, the employee, is a very friendly guy, very helpful and doesn't mind moving pots around the yard, even in the middle of Summer. read more

Best place ever in Tucson for pots and statuary. I love this place. The owner is ready to lend a helping hand even after so many successful years in business. There is a reason Pottery Blow Out is still around.... Great selection and the best customer service ever. My husband broke one of a set of three large pots I purchased nearly twenty years ago. I was sick about it. Not only did the owner remember me purchasing those pots but was ready to help me in getting them replaced. It took the sting out of losing the treasured set I lost. Pottery Blow Out is a stand out. Big selection, fair prices, friendly folks. Another reviewer thinks they are not cheapest. Perhaps. My mom and I went in earlier today to get more information and check out the supply at Pottery Blowout. After talking it over, my mom decided that she was going to purchase eight pots and called this afternoon to place an order. Upon calling, the employee told me that "We don't take orders over the phone and that six people were in line in front of me." We aren't ones to cut in line and would've understood if the employee needed to call back later when it wasn't so crazy. However, he then told me that "If you want to take advantage of the sale, you'll have to come down here like these kind people." Unfortunately for Pottery Blowout, they have lost the sale of eight pots and future purchases from myself and my mom. read more

I love the quality and selection. The glazes are very unique and more my style than some other run-of-the-mill pottery suppliers.

Don't go here! It is sick-makingly hot. There is a cooler, but apparently the owner is too cheap to run it. Hello- it's the hottest summer on record! I don't support small businesses that put their customers last and care nothing for the health of their employees. If you can't afford the cost of doing business in AZ (cooling three months of the year) then frickin' close up shop, man. Good deals on a few pots I purchased last year. One employee was there to assist in selection and no customers. Suddenly, customers began to show up and I was trying to make some selections and ended up on my own. There should be at least one more employee to help, especially people that can't load some of the heavier pots on their own. I suggest you examine every inch of the pot you're going to purchase, I had to go through at least 5 planters that didn't have major cracks and weak area (hollow sound when knocking around) Negotiate on the price too if you're buying more than one pot. If not, walk out, you can find nice pots elsewhere! read more

If we could give them a ZERO, we would have. They claim, they have 10,000 pots. We didn't see anything close to a thousand pots. Their internet pictures show their pots in a semi-truck bed. Maybe, that's where they all were? Limited selection. Prices were much, much higher than we've seen elsewhere. Pots were made in China? Where are the Mexican pots? We drove from Sun City with the promise that we'd find what we were looking for..., so we were told over the phone. Not even close. Staff wouldnt even say "Hello" "Can I help you?" "goodbye" "Thanks for stopping". Staff was very "Rude" wouldn't even answer any of our questions. Staff just looked down at us. Staff wasn't interested in making a sale that day. Maybe, it was because we were older and a little heavier than their ideal customer. We wouldn't recommend this place, unless you want to waste your time. "The Pottery Place" right near Surprise, AZ was much better. Staff there were friendly ! read more
