This gem is located inside of Lexington's The Goose & Monkey Brewery. You go in, order your food, they'll give you a buzzer and then you find any of the wide arrangement of seats available inside our outside of the goose and monkey. When you get a buzz, go back into POFO to get your food. I've been here multiple times and every single time service has been great! The staff always comes off as thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable & friendly when taking your order and handing it you. I've also never seen soooo many ServSafe certificates before. So kudos to them! I always forget about pour folk when I'm trying to think of Lexington dinner spots but I love this place. I miss the ham and cheese on the original menu but they focus more on pizza now. They still have a good variety of bowls and apps as well. The gf pizza was *fine* we got the Thai chili and it just didn't have a ton of flavor but had a lot of spice. The guys got their version of the meat lovers and they enjoyed it. The star of the show was the nachos with chicken, pineapple, corn, etc. they were loaded down and absolutely delicious. read more

I've gotten kickin chicken, no money mo honey and the conductor before. I think the conductor is my favorite. The loaded waffles fries are so good! We came to Goose and the Monkey Brewery because we knew they had food options available as well. At first we could not locate a menu or find where to order food even though we saw other customers eating. We really like the industrial feel of the building and the interior is well put together. After walking through a portion of the brewery, we saw that Pour Folk Provisions is located in a smaller suite type area which is closed off via a door from the main brewery. Our assumption is they operate as a separate business entirely. We also noticed their hours are slightly different and they close earlier than the brewery. We walked inside and could see the menu on the chalkboard on the wall with an order counter. We perused the menu and spoke to the young man at the counter who was friendly and helpful in explaining a few items to us. We knew we had to order the pretzel with the beer cheese to share, and my wife chose the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. I decided on a small Conductor pizza which has marinara, mozzarella, bacon, grilled chicken, Italian sausage and pepperoni. We paid at the counter and were given a pager which would alert us to pick our food up at the counter when ready. We went back into the brewery area and I ordered a beer flight before we grabbed a table outside. I sampled the beers and we talked as we waited for the pager to go off. When the pager went off, my wife went to go pick up our food. She came back shortly later saying it was a false alarm and they were not sure why it went off. She proceeded to use the restroom and reported that it was well stocked and clean. Just before she returned, the pager went off again. I did not want to leave our stuff at the table so, I waited for her to return. When she did, she went to retrieve our meals. The salad was in a disposable bowl and looked pretty wimpy. Everything else was packaged in to-go containers, which we understand but we always appreciate real silverware and trays vs. disposable containers. The pretzel was smiling at us, (sunglasses and all) I think I heard it say, "Eat me!" The pizza looked bigger than I was anticipating for a small and looked delicious. We proceeded to eat our meals as I sampled the beers. Based on our experience and the other food we saw fellow customers eating we would probably order the pretzel again, the nachos looked incredible and the pizza. Overall, it was a good experience and we would stop in again. read more

Now that I have a seat and a beer, it's time for a pizza. Pour Folk is the place inside Goose and Monkey that has a completely enclosed lobby which makes them separate. Very very clever. A look at the menu and I landed on the "Kicken Chicken" which has ranch, mozzarella, buffalo grilled chicken, pickles, red onion and hot honey. Since it's just me and pizza, I got the small. The pizzas were excellent and we loved the unique options. We went in for the Big Dill and Tantalizing Thai. The Dill was favorite by a mile. I have to point out the crust was perfection on both! The food came out fast and they were kind and helpful This is located inside Goose and Monkey brewery and shares seating. That's a big bonus. Pretty good pizza is all you really need to know about this place. However, as a restaurant inside the brewery (and separated to avoid NC quirks of the law) it's quite good. The pizza is made in a fired oven and typically perfect. As with any fired pizza, it may be more or less crispy depending on the visit but I like this part of the experience. The cheese sticks are my favorite though! Importantly for us they have gluten free options and the GF pizza is also quite good. We don't find ourselves in town often but when we do and have some time free, this is our first thought for a place to grab a drink and a bite. read more

While visiting the Goose and Monkey Brew House last week, we noticed a lot of people eating some good looking pizzas, and as serious fans of pizza, we didn't want to miss out. They've got a huge variety of pizzas to pick from, as well as build your own, and even offer cauliflower crust for the build your own option! They offer salads, and bowls as well, along with a couple of desserts options. After some debate we settled on the No Money, No Honey Pizza, with sausage and hot honey....it did not disappoint! This pizza was fantastic to the very last bite. Full of flavor, plenty of toppings and an amazing soft and fluffy dough. This is not a sit down restaurant, you order at the counter and they give you a pager for when it's ready. The staff was friendly, and the brewery welcomes you to bring your pizza in with you. As I mentioned ruined, we saw others eating the pizza and it looked great, but I've learned looks can be deceiving, but not at Pour Folk. This was an amazing pizza, and I can't wait to go back and enjoy another style!! read more

In one word. Terrible. Had the wings. Worst I ever had. Done in turbo chef oven or something. Skin rubbery. Not good. I left 3 of 6. The "watchos" which are waffle fries with beer cheese and bacon were also terrible. Fries not cooked enough. Was a soggy mess. Then there was the Caesar salad. Not impressed. Supposedly they have good pizzas someone said but the topping combinations were just wierd. One involved putting lettuce on it after it was cooked. Overall the place looks like someone spent the least they could on converting an old building into a brewery type restaurant. All food served on Paper plates, bowls, etc. Plastic forks...and the cheap kind. Broke 2 eating a salad. This place is for beer drinkers who don't know how to cook and who don't know what good food is. We didn't finish anything but the bloody Mary's. And they didn't have hot sauce. Who makes bloody Mary's and has no hot sauce. Also everything is self serve. You have to go to a counter to order and have to pay beforehand. Why I tipped I have no idea. They didn't do anything. And this little restaurant is inside of the brewery so you have to have 2 tabs. Ridiculous. read more

I have never had a bad meal from this place! We found this by accident on our way to childress vineyards. The pretzel with beer cheese and mustard is huge and hits the spot for a group appetizer. 13-19 dollar 12 inch small pizzas has to be the biggest rip off I ever heard. Support a local pizzeria for real pizza instead and get double your money and double your taste. The cauliflower crust pizza's are amazing, the Here Comes the Boom and The Green Goat are my favorite. The Teriyaki Bowl is also amazing!
