Decent little spot with a pool table. First thing I noticed was how loud the place was. They did have a band playing but the four people playing pool sounded loaded then the actual band. This would be a great place to come after a long day at the beach to get some beer and decent food. I had the dirty chips appetizer and my wife had the Buffalo wings... not the best nachos I had but for some props I believe they make the chips homemade. That's a plus to change it up and make their nachos different in a good way but not a great way. My wife liked her wings but once again they were not to die for. But that's all the food we tried but over all it was decent. The beer list is lengthy with I would say about 20 types including Carlsbad chronic. My favorite pizza port beer. All in all this is a nice little local spot to come to and hang out at to watch some football and have a cold fresh beer. Hope you enjoy. read more

Dive bar vibe with surprisingly good food and live music. I'm going to give it 4 stars - It deserves 5 for it's excellent and reasonably priced food, and for having live music, but 2-3 for being kinda sketchy at times, and having a patio full of smoke that wafts into the bar. Cool spot on the other side of San Diego from me. My friend's band Buckfast Superbee played there last night, and I made the long trek from North Park because a) they're a rad band and b) the Pour House wasn't charging an entry fee. How can I not support that? I am not drinking much lately but I supported the free concert by buying a beer. Dude behind the bar was wearing a "La Fin Du Monde" shirt but they didn't have it, so I ended up with another random beer choice. Staff was great, all good looking women with a great attitude. Hi everyone - it saddens me to share my poor experience at this local place in Oceanside. My boyfriend and I are local Hispanics and decided to attend a show in support of local musicians. After walking into this place we made our way to the bar where we stood for awhile waiting for someone to finally take our order. When we arrived the bar wasn't busy the bartender looked at my bf and I then walked away keeping himself busy and kept taking other people's orders who would go up to the bar. We were patient and understanding at first. Then we noticed he made a comment to his female coworker behind the bar and she turned and look at us smirked and walked away. They both did not offer service to us whatsoever and it was obvious that they kept skipping over us and taking orders from others who came after we did. They made it clear that we were not welcomed. An older caucasian man walked up to my bf and I then said to me "they keep ignoring you guys purposely aren't they?" He sat next us waiting to order too. The bartender finally looked our direction walked towards us and intentionally skipped over us AGAIN and tried taking the older man's order. The man then told him "No, they were here first take theirs" that's when the bartender said "what do you want?" With such unfriendly tone and slammed our pints on the counter. We felt so humiliated and degraded we could NOT enjoy the rest of the night there and drank our beer and left. Oceanside is very diverse and we do not tolerate this behavior. I will be sharing this with local vloggers and social media. I also read reviews of others who have experienced racism here this needs to be addressed. Went there to listen to a local band. Foods ok. If you're planning a night out with your girlfriend and want to dance go somewhere else. They have an ok dance floor but then there's hardly any room because of all the Zombies who stand right in the middle of it and even when asked won't move. Bouncers seem to turn a blind eye on some of the out of hand drunks. Bathroom a total disaster. These Yelp ratings don't seem to matter. read more

Great local bar with a large selection of beer on tap, tons of TVs if you want to watch a game (as they usually have several different ones on simultaneously) and pretty good pub food. It's a fun, casual place to grab a beer, hang out with friends and/or watch a game. It can be loud as there are TVs on almost every inch of wall space, so don't come here if you're looking for quiet conversation. The food was better than expected. We shared potatoes skins that were hot and flavorful and I had the Southwestern salad with perfectly grilled chicken. This would be one of my go-to local spots if I lived in the area. read more

Love, love, love this place! Best burgers and fries for the price in North County! It's also a blast here with live music on Friday nights and a mature fun crowd. The staff is all very friendly too. Quick tip - please use Uber or another ride service to get here and back if you're drinking. I mean that should be a given anyway for the safety of the community but also to spare yourself a legal situation. I ordered to-go here one night. I don't drive but a friend brought me here. We both ordered to-go (I remained in the car the entire time) and neither of us had any drinks. When you leave their lot, at night in light rain it was easy to miss a "no left turn" sign onto the main road. We missed it and turned left. There was a cop sitting nearby just waiting outside this place certainly hoping for a drunk driver bust. When we were pulled over, he immediately started asking how many drinks we had and didn't believe us when we said none. I pulled the bag of food up and said "seriously we just got food to go!" He laughed and left without giving us a ticket. Not even 2 minutes later as we were pulling out of our pulled over spot did we see someone else leave their lot and get pulled over by the same officer. So please Uber, shouldn't be driving intoxicated anyways but this seems to be a hotspot for the police! Also, no left turns out! We enjoyed the Paloma and a couple beers, the truffle fries (must try!!) the roasted carrots were so unique and absolutely delicious, and the burger with side salad. Me and the homie went here for a beer... We were very, very happy to find out they had a kitchen; and it was open late.... When we asked for menus the bartender proclaimed "this is the most under rated food in Oceanside" And I tell you what, he wasn't bullshittin' I got the loaded fries thinking it would be a good snack... it was freaking huge and the pulled pork or whatever it was on top was amazing! If you want a fun Happy Hour place with inexpensive food and drinks, and great bartenders, this is it! They have delicious carnitas tacos for $1! I would like to go try it at night when there are great bands that play, and a trivia night. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars, is because sometimes smoke travels in from the outside. I think if the patio doors were shut...that wouldn't happen, otherwise it's a really cool place to hit after the beach! A sneaky locals spot for afternoon beers. Stopped in for a beer and lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The drafts are nice and cold. The Decore on the walls are super fun. It was Valentines Day so, busy. No hostess when we arrived, a little chaotic about seating. Where to cue. They sat us 1st in front patio, no wait, but no waitress came for about 5 min., then some loud people with no masks sat next to us. We asked to move to main patio. They sat us in back which is smoking area, but didn't tell us it was smoking. Again, no waiter for 5 min. Some smokers sat next to us and we asked to be moved again. 3rd time a charm. I had steak&eggs, wife had mussels. Food was good, not great. Our server, Rebekah, was friendly and helpful. Other staff too. So many places to go in Oceanside, don't know if we'll go back, but probably one more try.. Patio/table spacing is great. Would give a 4 except for seating and initial wait time. read more

Followed it up with the Smothered Chicken and the Mac and Cheese. I would give the edge to the chicken. My boyfriend and I have loved this place for the past few months living around here, the wings and truffle fries are amazing. The drinks are good and I love the outdoor seating. I've typically never had problems here until just recently. A few nights ago I brought a friend in because he wanted to try the wings I spoke so highly about. We got there and we were next waiting along the side for a table to open as it was a busy night. Someone got up and I was aware it was going to be our table, however 2 ladies behind us sat on the dirty table and swooped it from us, the server/host witnessed it happen and didn't say anything to them- we had to leave. I tried coming last night again- bringing the same friend again. It was 8:30 and the server said the kitchen is closed... they close at 10, and you're telling me I can't eat wings even though you're open for over an hour more? I am a server myself- have worked in many restaurants and know that if you're open you serve what you normally provide. I'm really disappointed in the last two times coming here. But I LOVE it so much I will try again. And I hope for a better outcome this time. read more

The food is great but inconsistent. Sometimes the fries are amazing...and sometimes they use different ones that aren't as great, but are still good. Sometimes what's actually in your sandwich has no relation to what it says on the menu (raw red onions v caramelized, leaf lettuce v arugula) and comes too heavily doused in sauce...but is still delicious. Their Taco Tuesday is fantastic. The service here always seems to be painfully slow for some odd reason. Like, plan to spend two hours at lunch slow, even when the place is near empty. I don't get it, so normally I order my food to go. And still end up waiting. Definitely worth checking out if you have some time. It was raining and patrons would smoke in the doorway while they were playing pool inside. The bartender gave us some lame excuse that they couldn't close the door due to safety reasons. ?? Last I checked. It's illegal to smoke within 20 feet from a building entrance in California. The room was filled with cigarette and cigar smoke. Not to mention, we drove by today, and my husband and I both noticed the patio door was closed. My Moscow Mule was served in a glass Mason jar rather than a copper mug. At first I thought maybe they didn't have copper mugs. 20 minutes later I noticed they served a drink to somebody else in a copper mug. The bartenders weren't very friendly. Especially after I asked if the backdoor could be closed due to the cigarette smoke. When I got the response that I did, I let her know that it was our first time there and we won't be returning due to that reason. If your a smoker, this is a great bar for you! read more

Love this place. A nice hole in the wall, with a total surprise of a food menu. The food is really superb, although not for the diet conscience. This is my 2nd time here, and not disappointed at all! The first time I came, we had the dirty chips, and meatloaf sandwich, which was truly out of this world. This time, repeated the dirty chips, although now they now offer it with fries! This time we shared the crab cake sandwich. Again, not disappointed. I am not usually one to identify with a bar- but I have to say, this is definitely my main bar. If I could put a label on it: I would say (for lack of a better term) hipster-dive meaning that it still is relaxed, but some much more than a simple dive. They are true to part of their name with "pour" meaning that they do not skimp out on the drinks. I really appreciate this bar for much more than that though: there are always good people IN the bar, which is really refreshing, and there are even better people actually working the bar. On top of that, the prices are on point. They always have live music on the weekends, and even if they do not, the selection is always great. Plus: a pool table and outside patio? You really can't go wrong. Don't forget to try some of the the food, either. The only thing I regret with this review is that I do not want too many people to find this gem, haha. read more
