The food here is exceptional and much more sophisticated than you might expect from a music venue and bar. I brought my son here today to celebrate the end of the school year. The service was friendly and efficient, the patio was spacious and the food was absolutely delicious. I have a feeling this place will be packed this Summer as folks start to come out from their Covid isolation. Come and enjoy it before everyone else figures it out! Okay I was super happy about this place. It's walking distance to our house here and definitely recommend. The menu is super whimsical and fun. I ordered the bahn mi and even though it doesn't have meat on it, it was absolutely delicious! The angry rooster looked fantastic as well and Scott ordered the pork belly nachos and said they were bomb. I saw the negative reviews since covid but I didn't experience any of the negativity here. I'm a regular here, and always enjoy it. I reached out to them earlier this year to see if we could plan a 40th HS reunion at their outdoor space, and they welcomed us with open arms. We had a bit of a hiccup after confirming this week, and the staff was definitely surprised when we arrived. However, they quickly sprung into action and created a dedicated space for us outside. I wish I had our three waitresses names, along with the bussers and support staff. They absolutely ROCKED. Every time I turned around they were taking orders, delivering orders, and generally organizing us. And they did it all with smiles on their faces, laughing and joking the whole time. They deserve ZERO stars. I was there Friday night with a large group of friends to support other friends who's bands were playing. One of our friends is a US Combat Veteran with a service dog. After about an hour the management came over and decided to kick him out because they do not want dogs in their establishment. They told him he had to go out on the patio or could leave but he couldn't have his dog inside. Never mind the fact that it was 40 something degrees, crazy windy and raining. This is a very well trained dog. She stayed laying down, under the table at her persons feet. She wasn't doing anything that could cause a single person to complain. She had on her vest stating her name and her purpose and was doing her job as she has been trained to do! What they did is called service dog discrimination and very illegal. "Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses and organizations that serve the public must allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals into all areas of the facility where customers are normally allowed to go." This is Oceanside, a military town and they certainly know better than to do this to a veteran who needs the help of a service dog. I will never enter this establishment again and I will make sure all those I know who serve are aware of what they did. read more

Just tried this place last week and it was really nice to sit outside on the patio with my roommate's dogs and enjoy our meal and drinks. I tried a Moscow mule and it was made well. I had the Ahi tacos which were nice and light with a little zing, and my brother tried the Angry Rooster sandwich which he enjoyed. The truffle fries were a great starter, delicious and crunchy. I went to a show at PourHouse last night for the first time not knowing what to expect. As a venue, it was surprisingly nice...nice sized stage for the bands and a good amount of room for the crowd. Most of all, I have been to a million shows in my life, and never have I ever heard the bands sound so well balanced. Homegirl running the front house mix did a phenomenal job. Bravo. read more

I went to Pour House on my day off to treat myself to lunch and it blew me away! I never really thought to go in there because I always thought it looked like the salty spitoon from spongebob when I saw it from the outside but to my surprise the staff was very friendly and I didn't have to be a badass to get in. Also my server was super beautiful so it gave me something nice to look at other than the meathead biker dudes playing pool. All in all it was a good experience. I will definitely be going back here in the future and getting the burger again. YUM. read more

The service was impeccable and the beer was ice cold. The aesthetic changes look great and the bartender/owner, Dave is as professional and personable as they come. Absolutely, provided us with amazing service. However, the menu has changed since they reopened. They had one of the best wedge salads in town and I was so disappointed that the menu has very "foodie" items now. The great finger food and bar items that people love when they are drinking and socializing are gone (except the wings). The prices are definitely up and I just can't justify spending $14-15 on a burger or $12-15 on a beet root or carrot salad. Please bring back your best menu options and adjust your prices to make them comparable to other local bars/restaurants. I'm in Oceanside, visiting from Los Angeles, and first of all I must say what a beautiful city, I love the vibe here! I stopped by today for lunch and a drink and first of all my dog was allowed into the outside area so I was already liked the place. The server, Allie, was awesome! She was very nice and attentive, we talked about dogs and she vouched for the beet salad so I tried it and let me just say that it is the best salad I ever had! The plating was beautiful and there was so much flavor! From the spiced nuts, to the labne dressing, to the candied orange peels I was blown away by the flavors. Pour House has great brews on tap and I was treated very well by the bartender. I can't wait to return and highly recommend a visit especially after a nice walk with your dog and a need to refresh with some adult beverages! read more

Server Alyssa at the Pour House in Oceanside, Ca. is a good hard worker. I met some friends there recently on a Saturday night to watch music students performing in a showcase. I got there early enough to get a booth. Alyssa greeted us and she was very polite. A large Women's Social Group arrived also to watch the music school showcase. The restaurant/bar got very busy. I don't know if the bar was short handed, but it seemed like Alyssa was the main server. Many customers became very demanding. I could see Alyssa was working very hard to take care of everybody. It would have been overwhelming for anyone. I never ordered anything from the bar so I can't comment on the bartender's. However, Alyssa continued to take care of us. Custard Pie a great local band was playing here for New Years Eve so we had to come out to ring in the New Year with one of our favorite local bands. The server was really nice but slammed, so things took a little longer but the music was good so we didn't mind. The reason for the 3 stars is all based on drinks/food and the beer.. Do NOT order beer on tap it was really flat and not good at all. All the beer I saw ordered on tap came out flat my hubby's was flat and tasted as if the keg or lines needed to be changed or cleaned... I wanted to order a signature cocktail but they were out of the ingredients for most of them so I ordered a Moscow mule first one was good the 2nd One tasted like someone dumped a bucket of lime juice in it with no alcohol seriously gave me a horrible acidy stomach ache. We did go to order food and basically they were out of quite a bit on the menu even chips! That is poor planning on New Years Eve. We decided on the turkey sliders, I should have read the menu better cause I thought they were turkey burgers nope they were turkey deli meat not impressed at all. The tater tots were good. Super loud band (and they've obviously been together for years with a following), locals that know everyone who've been there before and new visitors easily stand out. Easy to find parking in their lot, walk in, grab a table inside...their patio is the smoking area and it definitely was the smoking area. Server came over, took our drink order...and was visibly annoyed we were just drinking and not ordering food. We had dinner plans at another establishment. Friend ordered her go-to: vodka tonic. I love this place! I've been here a couple times since the end of the beach club era and I really enjoy the atmosphere. They have a variety of beers, cocktails and bar food. Try their truffle fries, so good that we had to get 2 orders. The prices aren't so bad as well. $6 for a Stone IPA and $4 for a bottle of Coors. It was pretty mellow around the time our group arrived. The bartenders are quick and generous. Empty glasses and plates are picked up and removed from tales right away, which is great service. There's is a patio area outside where you can people watch along the coast highway. There standing tables and booths inside and they also allow kids in during the day. We have been a few times before and we love the Pour House. Even when really crowded the staff is always great, always smiling and very attentive. We went to catch the School of Rock showcase last night and it was a packed house! Bar and interior was full so we ended up sitting outside but it was a nice evening so it was perfect. Last time we went was pre-covid and the menu has changed a bit (was bummed the turkey sliders were not on the menu anymore). We got a few drinks, fries, a pretzel and a few other items while there. Everything was tasty, food came out quick and hot and a great deal for what we got. We got a burger for my son to bring home after the show and he really enjoyed it. He loves his burgers and said this one hit the spot last night. There is plenty of seating outside, the old parking lot has been converted to picnic style seating (guessing was done during covid) and plenty of parking around the surrounding area still. Pour House is a fun, local, great place to catch a show and grab a bite to eat (they even have a few pool tables which is fun). I put yay Im a fan. This is because I have been going to this dive bar since I could go into a bar. Its changed names and is TRYING for an more upscale dining experience but no, its not for that. Its for music and dancing and stiff drinks. There is booth seating for eating and people watching and a patio for smoking. Mostly locals, mostly older until 9 pm and then the younger crowd comes out. I have been there both before and after 9. I am on the verge of older crowd, yet I digress. I tried the quesadilla with my drink and it was okay, I truly feel they overprice there food for a dive bar. Me thinks they think they are a classier establishment then what reality is.
